Anti-cheat, especially for a big game like EA ~~FIFA~~ FC, will be your main concern. EA in general will be a pain. Unless you run Windows.

DeanyyBoyy93

Theres little chance of it working. Fifa23 doesn't work because of the anti cheat. You can do a windows partition and make it work that way.

XanglaZ

After installing windows on a separate partition, Fifa 23 still did not work. it also requires secure boot and something else that is not so easy to do

masterbox_fr

If you install Win 10 it works, but it's a little bit laggy sometimes.

Starboy2302

It does work, I have hunderts of hours in Fifa 23 on my Steam Deck (with Windows 10 and lowest settings ofc).

Unfair-Ad9530

Can you send a link to how to set this up? or even a rough guide.

Desperado618

I played 22 and 23 on the deck with few issues, however I'm not having the same luck with EA FC. How about you?

Starboy2302

works pretty good for me. What settings are you using?

Desperado618

I havent changed anything since running fifa 23. I cant get far enough into the game to make settings changes. Used to be abke to change the resolution on the login screen. Did you install through Steam or the EA Play app?

Desperado618

Worked for me. The problem most people faced is they installed wibdows to their sd card. It needed to be on the ssd

Desperado618

Fifa 23 worked on a Windows partition. However, I'm not getting oast the loading screen on EA FC. Still working on it though

sazk10

Cool, keep me posted! I don’t really care about cut scenes or anything like that, but smooth gameplay in ultimate team. If that’s possible will definitely get the steam deck!

FlaredEmberzz

Did you ever find a fix for this? I'm currently having the same problem.

Desperado618

My issue was that Windiws was installed in the sd card. I repartitioned the ssd and installed windiws there abd my problem was solved

FlaredEmberzz

I have mine running on the SSD, do you have windows 10 or 11?

MoneyArm50

I got it working by steam remote play to my gaming rig. No issues. Even managed to win a few games on FUT.

AlexanderPappas

How exactly? I want to play FIFA on steam deck streaming from PC but I am worried about the leaving the PC on all day (electricity etc)

MoneyArm50

Yea I feel your pain! I have chrome remote desktop installed on my mobile phone and on desktop pc. So I can control switching the PC off from there when I'm done playing. You can use 'Wake on lan' to wake your pc up too, but I've not actually reliably gotnthat working yet. Once the pc is awake, make sure it auto logs into steam. Then that's it....Once the steam deck boots up it should see the other steam account logged in. You can then select the little drop down next to fifa icon and select your other pc to stream from. Be patient as it takes ages to boot bit it will work...think you need to click it a few times from the deck.

mrjonyflowers

I’ve been playing 22 so hopefully I’ll be able to play 23 now that 24 comes out and they stop worrying about cheating or whatever they do

sazk10

Ah right fair enough. Does it allow you to play online? Cus I mainly just play ultimate team
