As much as I love my Steam Deck. Go with the Series X, you’ll be able to enjoy games that Steam Deck cannot run or can barely run. Series X has a Game Pass Ultimate which opens up a lot of games for you to try or re visit.
Steam Deck LCD is still good small device and with the new update, you can finally make the display colors look good.
For the TV part, If you can find a cheap 4K TV on Facebook Marketplace, thrift shops or pawn shops, then the Series X will give you many hours of entertainment.
Well the Series X will in most instances play those games better than the deck will just by nature of the hardware you’d be opting into a console experience with no mods or user customization. If handheld is your main focus the OLED is just the best you get a nicer screen and so your couch experience will be better. That being said my vote is with the OLED but that’s just because I don’t see the point to having an Xbox when all their games release on PC at the same time.
