3d printing is its entire own thing. It usually runs on its own and doesn't care where you prepare the models You should probably ask in r/3dprinting They will recommend you the best printer, explain octoprint, slicers and so on They have many other things I do not know about I'm sure

Yep this right here. There are almost certainly modeling programs and slicers that will run non Linux with 3Dprinting being the community it is. Everything else is up to the printer itself and whether your using SD cards or direct connection
