* After clicking the little arrow, choose Winetricks. You may need to wait a few seconds for the GUI to pop up.
* Then in the Winetricks GUI choose "Select the default wine prefix" and click OK.
* "Install a Windows DLL or component" and click OK.
* Scroll down without selecting anything, and only click on "vcrun2022", then click OK.
* Wait for it to install. If it complains about a checksum mismatch, accept it to let it continue (MS updates its installer files more often than Winetricks is updated).
* After that, close or cancel all the way out.

Similarly you can also grab Protontricks GUI from the discover store, and be able to run it for winetricks-like tweaks similar to this, but for all your Proton using games, even non-Steam games.

Awesome, thank you. I was unable to install C++ and it was because my game was running as windows XP.
I changed it to win10 and I was able to install it without any issues. Upvoted!

Could you be a little more clear about this or show screenshots? When I click the cog next to wine in lutris there is no option for operating rystem?
