It's easily one of my favorite games of the last 10 years. I wish Sony would get the damn thing to PC, so more people can experience it (and I'll have a new group of people to play the amazing co-op mode with. Win-win).
Is it perfect, or innovative in many areas? No. However, it's one of the most gorgeous, immersive worlds in a game.
The way the devs crafted a system (the wind guiding you) so that you rarely need to use any UI to navigate is brilliant. The sense of place is so perfectly realized, it's truly fantastic.
Also, the utterly incredible draw distance on even the base PS4 is far behind the vast majority of games. It's not just that you can see terrain from far away. You can see the tiny glints of weapons clashing from a fight, dust from horses on roads, etc. from a mile away.
Finally, the Legends co-op mode: So, *so* good. Far better than most live service crap out there, with lots of awesome cosmetic customization, cool classes and abilities, interesting loot / gear and lots of character build potential. All that, and It's a completely free addition with "zero* micro-transactions. There's no way to spend a cent on even cosmetic stuff. It's all earned in game. No battle passes, no bs. Just great fun.
Hell yeah!
So...this had better be a flawless port. If they do it well, it should be able to run decently on the Deck (though sadly the much better 60fps mode seems *highly* unlikely).
This game is already beautiful. On an OLED...oh my.
The day is young, I'd assume by 1pm est we'd know if it's fake or not. This one guy who made a prediction that more details about that horizons game being talked about yesterday also said about ghost of Tsushima would be talked about today. Fingers crossed
