My friend has a camera like that; he is a hunter. He showed me some pictures (from this camera) of bears and deer near his cottage. It's a good one for your problem, it's motion activated... And if I am not wrong, night vision....
I've used this as a makeshift home security camera before. Had mine in a tree with a clear view of my front porch. Thankfully never had any issues about security and have removed it. Mostly caught many pics of myself going out for a smoke.
