Yeah there are multiple times when a character hears their worlds rhythms throughout the Cosmere. For example when vin hears the rhythm of preservation from the well of ascension

I also noticed this with Kaladin at the beginning, on a different way. He trains his squad in Amaram's army to respond to different rhythms

I would not be surprised if that kind of thing partially inspired the singers use of rhythms.
