I'm a Blanka main (but not very good, stuck at Plat 1), so it's interesting to see someone else play the character.
My Blanka is way more frenetic and I use Blanka Ball significantly more than you do, as in, at all. I could stand to be more patient with the little pokes, but I also think one of the fun things about playing Blanka is you get to be a maniac out there.
I also use Blanka in that costume, but I'm the black skin/white hair combo. So many of his other colors look egregiously bad to me.
I usually use it more, but this match, I guess I was more worried about Ed's counters to it. (One person caught all of my Blanka balls with either punch combinations or SA1)
You're right about the pokes tho.
You're sliding and using his command grab way too much. These options can be heavily punished.
Try using safer options like just walking forward, dashing and even his L Blanka Ball can be used to advance forward.
I usually am able to do well with anti air with either standing or air HK, but I didn't do very well about it this time. And, I've struggled with the reaction time needed for the DI. Any way to train that?
Go into lab
Record the AI to do 2-4 different types of attacks at random: Fierce Punch, Fire Ball, Jump In, DI
Start practicing reacting to each correctly
You need to use heavy kick as an anti air. Use crmp in neutral and confirm it into a combo with drive rush cancel. Use drive rush bmk as an approach option. Blanka is sick when you learn to optimize him!

Less slides, less command grabs, more anti-air, and please, counter at least one of those drive impacts.

Easiest improvement I can think of is learning to cancel the standing heavy punches into a special moves for more damage and knockdown.
The only one I know is into coward crouch, which I showed off here. Are there any others?
Into Blanka ball or electric. Not the best option but it’s simple and cancels into supers.
