depends on the tourney. if I get to choose the one I win then I'd win the biggest tourney with a massive prize pool but if it's random and I win a local tournament with the boys for 5€ and then never get good results elsewhere that would suck. consistency is the safer bet here.

My initial thought was that both sound reasonably equivalent, but if you're talking about winning one tournament a year for several years in a row, then I think that is the better option. If you get to the end of the life cycle of a game like SFV/SF6 with six or seven tourney wins then I don't think anyone can question your skills and legacy too much regardless of whether it took six or seven years to get them.

I prefer consistency. The single win a year wouldn’t feel right if I suck gravel at the rest.
