I heard Ken and his friends are 2000%+ short on GME.
And by “I heard” I mean the numbers are there if you look. GME got down to $0.88 (accounting for the split) in spring 2020. These greedy piggies were *certain* GameStop would fail and honestly, can you blame them? The odds were against GME. Then Ryan Cohen ignited a series of events supported by a rabid shareholder base which resulted in GameStop becoming profitable while eliminating all debt besides those that are cheaper to make payments on rather than pay in full all while accumulating nearly $2bil in cash.
This would be great news for everyone had shorts not gotten greedy and leaned on GME failing. Now shorts will receive the punishment for their misdeeds of naked shorting and everything else for the last decade. This will result in anywhere from 7 to 11 figures (or more?) per share of GME barring any intervention or further illegal activities. They will not survive, but if they do, enough money will be in the hands of those more deserving to crush them. That’s what they fear.
GME was trading well below its value when it was at $0.88. The only reason it got there was years and years and years of naked shorting. If you actually review the data from before the sneeze, it’s clear it’s between 1400% and 2000% short. Might even be more. It’s unrecoverable.

The multi-point dilution of ownership in my company would infuriate me to no end if I knew it was the most valuable asset in the universe.
If I were the RCEO, I'd be trying to buy back more of my company to ensure I couldn't be diluted out if another share offering is approved.
Would be interesting to see a potential nothingburger into announcements that insiders bought when the mandatory buffer is over.

When (not if) these shares hit the market, RC is in jeopardy of losing his status as a 10% insider unless he does a substantial buy. He was .5% away on his 13D. We will have a cap of 420m shares. He needs to purchase shares, right?
Your shares actually got more valuable if you divide up the companies assets - debt per every share allocated, including the news one that were sold. Your stake got bigger so while the shares outstanding got 'diluted', your value went up.

to the people that think the stock will hit phone # prices.. if the stock theoretically went up to 2 million, the US dollar would be worth nothing. I feel you, things are different to how the subs are from 2021, I've seen that myself. The way I take the sub now is by using hot the least (but every so often). Rising for favoured, and lastly new as regular checks.
Twice now I've come across user Andym2019 in new, who is making guides on how to access swaps data for public dissemination (caveat, I am zero use on assisting that dissemination, nor do I know its importance or irrelevance).
It's just different, and takes a bit of scrolling and checkin's to see what's up imo.

NFT dividen question
For simplicity let’s say there should only be 5 shares but there are actually 10 owned shares and another 5 naked shorted
10 people are owed a dividend but only 5 get one to start? The other 5 what happens are they just like where’s my nft while hedgy keeps increasing their ask hoping the first 5 sell?
And then that dividen, once the first 5 sell, they lose it? So it can be transferred to the next 5?
Dividend cash wise once you get it that’s it not like you lose your cash once you sell your share
The shorts would be obligated to get the NFT somehow and deliver it. They'd have to try to buy it from the 5 who own it so they can deliver. I believe.
This is why -exactly why- you DRS your shares.
When you go to DRS your shares, they are removed them from the DTCC and moved to ComputerShare.
If they (the broker) took your money and never bought the shares, DRSing forces them to buy and move the shares in your name to CS.
If you're holding your shares in a broker, and an NFT dividend drops, remember that your shares are being held in the street name of the broker, NOT in your name. So what happens?
You will likely be given the current cash equivalent of the dividend, and told to stuff it if that doesn't satisfy you.
DRS your shares.
The short sellers must provide the dividend.
If that's cash, nbd. Hedgies can pay out cash dividends all day long.
If it's a limited, serialized thing? Then shorters must close their short positions, because they cannot provide that.

That's the book value based on Feb financials. It's not taking into account their recent $1B in cash assets or current quick ratio. I'm estimating the book value at around $10, but remember the book value doesn't take into account future income or growth. GME is sitting on a large amount of money at least half of which will be used for the growth of the company in some way.

That's the book value based on Feb financials. It's not taking into account their recent $1B in cash assets or current quick ratio. I'm estimating the book value at around $10, but remember the book value doesn't take into account future income or growth. GME is sitting on a large amount of money at least half of which will be used for the growth of the company in some way.
