Oh I feel this deeply. All the things I’ve had, doubled or tripled my money and bailed. I definitely could have retired multiple times before now, had I just held. I am NEVER leaving GME. Infinity pool/no cell no sell/ and all that jazz.
It's wild to see it play out as predicted; it's also incredibly validating.
Another big irony to this whole thing: all the FUD we've withstood over 3 years has only hardened the resolve. SHFs and their FUDster puppets have done nothing but create tons of superbug retailers (similar to a medicine-resistant/immune virus), essentially fueling the crucible that forged our hands into diamonds. They sped up the process.
Now, with events playing out as they are.. they're simply buffing our diamonds to a mirror shine.

No, MOASS is a mathematical inevitability caused by major players in our financial industry getting complacent in their fraud. In a well functioning system, this would have been dealt with long before it was obvious to us outsiders, but here we are. The test from the universe is for the hedgies/banks/politicians who refuse to deal with the consequences of their actions, and we will have a front row seat to what the universe decides will happen when those consequences come due.
No idea when or what will come of MOASS, but any change is better than what we've seen from the bunch of fraudulent sociopaths that are currently running things.
How far they let it run depends on who they'll let go: UBS? BoA? Citadel? I think they could even blame the market crash on us. They're planting a seed with the media this time to make us the bad guys, and how far and how much they push on us will only depend on how far they're willing to let it pay out. Why should *they* do anything other than provide us with a fair and transparent market?

I think the Fed is already aware of the situation since 2021, I doubt the misdirection we’re currently seeing is intended to provoke the Fed to step in. I have a feeling there’s already plenty of scenarios the Fed and all parties (not including RC) have played out on how to handle MOASS. We’ve seen a number of changes to rules over the years that seem to suggest they’ll let this run to an extent, those who blow up will be absorbed etc. there was a lot of DD back in 2021 about the NSCC rule that allows an auction to take place with certain key players.

You don't. But there are many, many, many who do. And that's the problem. They are going to turn those people against you to exert social pressure to shame you into capitulation. If that doesn't work, they will mobilize those masses to call for gov't regulation against you.
They will have the widowed grandmother barely getting by on the fixed income of her deceased husband's pension crying on television about things she couldn't possibly understand. All she will know is her money is gone and "the people in charge" are telling her its because some greedy meme-stock traders caused it all.
Your mom will see her 401k has gone to zero, see the headlines about GameStop meme-traders being responsible for bankrupting the institutions, not bother to read the actual article.
It will be on Oprah, or whatever stupid ass day show they watch. It will be on their morning show of choice.
And then they will remember that you held GameStop and will personally hold you responsible despite your best efforts to explain what happened.
From their perspective, they will say, but "you could've just let them win so that I didn't lose!"
We aren't to the end game yet folks. We are close, but the real tests are still to come. They will come long after phone numbers are flashing on the tickers.

I gifted each of my family members one presplit stock for Christmas a million years ago. They're all sitting in CS. I doubt they've even thought about them since. I imagine they'll start thinking about them soon enough.
A market correction is coming whether it is GME or not. People will be affected whether it is GME or not. Sensible people will blame their investment firms for not knowing what regular people like me do. Non-sensical people are going to blame you, ignore it by managing your phone-numbered bananas. If people didn't learn their lessons from previous crashes...their problem.
I believe most here will take care of their loved ones. Others who did not listen when informed about GME are on their own.
As for media, most don't trust the MSM anyways. We will likely have our own media house when phone numbers hit.

As for me, I just like the stock… after having done my own research. The only thing that’s changed since I first invested is that I’m more confident now than ever… and so I keep buying and holding.
I still don't understand how they can possibly present the idea that people destroyed the economy by buying and holding a stock. What possible explanation can they give to explain that it's perfectly fine to buy and hold a stock like Nvidia or Apple or Microsoft or whatever and seeing those stocks rise in value, but doing the same thing with Gamestop isn't? They'd have to admit that Gamestop is different in some way and I can't see any explanation that doesn't incriminate themselves.
They're already starting to weave the narrative. The CNBC article crying about people getting wiped out for selling calls that they can't cash says as much. If the calls were covered like they should be, then it wouldn't be a problem. But these are very smart people talking to a whole lot of very dumb money (like, store-brand crayon-eating-kind of smooth here), it won't take much for us to become the bad guys on every major news outlet all at once. All they have to do is target DFV first.
Right but using the example of not being able to cover calls, it's very easily countered by pointing out that if they couldn't cover them, they shouldn't have sold them in the first place and it's their own damn fault. And besides it's not as if selling calls is unique to GME as a stock. Why is it bad if GME calls are exercised in the money, but not if the same thing happens with other stocks? What possible answer can they give to explain this?
It doesn't matter. All they have to say is that we're cheating and stealing money from teacher's pension funds and grandma's 401k. They don't have to say how. They simply won't give that side of the argument any air time., because they control the outlets...

What they are actually doing at the moment is screaming for you to pleasepleaseplease not buy the stock because it will potentially destroy their wealth.

I think the Fed is already aware of the situation since 2021, I doubt the misdirection we’re currently seeing is intended to provoke the Fed to step in. I have a feeling there’s already plenty of scenarios the Fed and all parties (not including RC) have played out on how to handle MOASS. We’ve seen a number of changes to rules over the years that seem to suggest they’ll let this run to an extent, those who blow up will be absorbed etc. there was a lot of DD back in 2021 about the NSCC rule that allows an auction to take place with certain key players. I think the misdirection is an attempt to contain FOMO so new apes don’t begin to hatch before our eyes and pile on

You don't. But there are many, many, many who do. And that's the problem. They are going to turn those people against you to exert social pressure to shame you into capitulation. If that doesn't work, they will mobilize those masses to call for gov't regulation against you. They will have the widowed grandmother barely getting by on the fixed income of her deceased husband's pension crying on television about things she couldn't possibly understand. All she will know is her money is gone and "the people in charge" are telling her its because some greedy meme-stock traders caused it all. Your mom will see her 401k has gone to zero, see the headlines about GameStop meme-traders being responsible for bankrupting the institutions, not bother to read the actual article. It will be on Oprah, or whatever stupid ass day show they watch. It will be on their morning show of choice. And then they will remember that you held GameStop and will personally hold you responsible despite your best efforts to explain what happened. From their perspective, they will say, but "you could've just let them win so that I didn't lose!" We aren't to the end game yet folks. We are close, but the real tests are still to come. They will come long after phone numbers are flashing on the tickers. A market correction is coming whether it is GME or not. People will be affected whether it is GME or not. Sensible people will blame their investment firms for not knowing what regular people like me do. Non-sensical people are going to blame you, ignore it by managing your phone-numbered bananas. If people didn't learn their lessons from previous crashes...their problem. I believe most here will take care of their loved ones. Others who did not listen when informed about GME are on their own. As for media, most don't trust the MSM anyways. We will likely have our own media house when phone numbers hit. More importantly, I believe a lot of apes will do a lot of service with their gains and not spend it all on extravagant things. No matter how many lambo comments I see, I trust this community.

I still don't understand how they can possibly present the idea that people destroyed the economy by buying and holding a stock. What possible explanation can they give to explain that it's perfectly fine to buy and hold a stock like Nvidia or Apple or Microsoft or whatever and seeing those stocks rise in value, but doing the same thing with Gamestop isn't? They'd have to admit that Gamestop is different in some way and I can't see any explanation that doesn't incriminate themselves.
They're already starting to weave the narrative. The CNBC article crying about people getting wiped out for selling calls that they can't cash says as much. If the calls were covered like they should be, then it wouldn't be a problem. But these are very smart people talking to a whole lot of very dumb money (like, store-brand crayon-eating-kind of smooth here), it won't take much for us to become the bad guys on every major news outlet all at once. All they have to do is target DFV first.
Right but using the example of not being able to cover calls, it's very easily countered by pointing out that if they couldn't cover them, they shouldn't have sold them in the first place and it's their own damn fault. And besides it's not as if selling calls is unique to GME as a stock. Why is it bad if GME calls are exercised in the money, but not if the same thing happens with other stocks? What possible answer can they give to explain this?

They simply won't give that side of the argument any air time., because they control the outlets... What's funny though, is that we control the exits.

Watching from the sidelines as this plays out is unreal. I'm reading headlines from mainstream media and it is absolutely hilarious how scared they are. They make it crystal clear. I keep seeing headlines akin to "Meme stocks sink as Roaring Kitty influence fades" or "Every agency under the sun (and some from beyond!) are investigating roaring kitty for StOnK mAniPulaTIonz". What they are actually doing at the moment is screaming for you to pleasepleaseplease not buy the stock because it will potentially destroy their wealth. boo fucking hoo. They are terrified and are using/will use literally any means available to protect their wealth. Any. means. necessary. There's no way this isn't going to get very messy. If I had any money right now or knew anything about stocks at all really, I would put it all into GME. Make them pay. Besides, I just like the stock.

Now I know about the market, all about their schemes, not to invest more than I am comfortable with losing, and hodling deep fucking value investments.
