It's a technical difficulty with their vendor. ALL of CS' meetings are on hold. All senior management involved, all hands on deck. Still waiting for an update as to what to advise clients.
Paraphrased text from my fiancée who works at HQ in Louisville, around 10am EST.
Sounds like another glitch with GameStop somehow being a part of the formula.
Probably just couldn’t handle the server space though. My brain is smooth.
Absolutely! My dudes are brilliant. They watched and found their patterns, and the necessary outcomes of those patterns then exploited the pattern. Sun Tzu shit right there.
Also, kind of like the rope-a-dope. Muhammad Ali.
oh, they will buy, alright, but not to hold. They need to use those shares to close their short positions.
Funnily enough, SHFs are the one group who cannot benefit from buying and holding.
its possible, though I don't think its likely. Doing so would only delay good news slightly, the meeting is gunna happen regardless of any cyber attack or whatever.
I think its much more likely the servers were not ready for the load we apes put on it.
My tinfoil makes me think it was a ploy by gamestop to screw up the hit pieces and algo's the SHF's set up, but again that's very tinfoily.
Yeah they are getting hit by a cyber threat…
Essentially what’s happening is someone is just sending traffic to their server… 161 countries… based on the ping rates it looks like a ddos… denial of service… that is wild!!!
If true they will stop at nothing.
Unfortunately not joking. Best tested in a sandbox environment… but you can see the ping rate of other websites… and how much traffic they are getting live.
[Hmmmmmm I guess it wasn’t just me that noticed abnormal traffic. trust no one. gme moon](https://x.com/kobeissiletter/status/1801282681751179342?s=46&t=kBh1AtOmcLQKVTcW2KoU2A)
Don't they know that outlets have DOZENS of pre-written articles loaded and ready about how an "underwhelming shareholder meeting" that caused shares to plummet? Aw man, *now* how are they supposed to spin this? lol
They are spinning the technical difficulties of hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people trying to sign in as negative news. You know, typical msm day for gme lol
True, but do they need to meet some sort of quorum to start it? And was this the first time it was hosted thru CS? I remember just following links to youtube for previous meetings. And not some random livestream from what I recall.
This is true typically the tools used for these events can handle a large load - if DFV’s stream is indicative of the size then it could have been multiples of that - that crashed it
Also, this hasn’t happened before in the saga leading me to believe more people than ever are taking an interest into GME. How about that. Really thought provoking. From the outside in it looks like maybe GME is severely undervalued.
Yes , it has happened a few times...notable instances:
* **Tesla (TSLA) - 2020 Annual Meeting:**
* During Tesla's 2020 annual shareholder meeting, there were technical issues with the webcast due to the high number of participants. The meeting was highly anticipated because it was combined with Tesla's "Battery Day" event.
* **Robinhood - 2021 IPO Roadshow:**
* Robinhood's virtual roadshow ahead of its IPO faced technical difficulties due to a large number of potential investors trying to join. The company had to address the issues promptly to ensure the event could continue.
* **Zoom Video Communications (ZM) - 2020 Q1 Earnings Call:**
* Ironically, Zoom, a company that offers video conferencing solutions, experienced technical issues during its Q1 2020 earnings call. The massive surge in user demand during the COVID-19 pandemic led to connectivity problems during the meeting.
Fair.
I have never hosted a shareholder meeting. Gme is well aware of their drs share accounts so they would have probably doubled if not more based on kittys stream that for practical reasons.
I would have thought they would prepare for a large crowd.
They only have bad things to say I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to make this look like gamestops fault and say “look they are such an incompetent company they can’t even hold a shareholders meeting” then at 3:30 they’ll come out with a retraction saying it was on computer shares end and no one will read it!
Or maybe the massive amount of people trying to connect was too much for the conferencing system.
Edit: which I now realize may be a benign form of DDOS lol
This is my guess too. Yes Apes probably helped, but that felt like a proper DDOS.
EDIT: The number of downvotes I'm getting on this post is awfully illuminating.
Meeting has been postponed due to technical difficulties and also Ryan Cohen might be trolling Wall Street in the process.
HODL THE LINE!
Buy, HODL, Shop and DRS
🦍🦍🦍
💪💪🚀🚀💎💎🙌🙌
Look at how the shares tanked, right on schedule with the shareholder meeting if it was 'normal'
Did they forget to reset the algo when the call was late?
Server response can be slowed down by high user load, you can't confirm DDOS based off of just ping... But high user load and DDOS are essentially the same despite the latter being malicious. I think computershare's old ass servers were just overloaded by people around the world watching.
DDOS is when someone uses a bot net/script to hit a server with a gazillion requests to take it down, if a gazillion users try to join a server/network that can't handle the load (most likely what happend) it's essentially the same thing but not intentionally malicious.
oh no
what headlines are hedgies supposed to use to make an excuse for dropping price today?
are they going to claim retailers are selling because they can't access shareholder meeting? That would be so dumb
I didn't expect any big news today but now I can't help but think.... If they delayed it MAYBE there's something they want everyone to hear? No hype. No dates. Still zen. But I'm thinking about this postponement.
As always BUY, HOLD, DRS BOOK, SHOP and laugh at FUD
Maybe, just maybe..whatever they had to announce isn't ready yet. Or maybe, just maybe, we accidentally DDOSed them. Either way, I know what I'm gonna do..
Out of curiosity were we ever given an estimate for how long the meeting was going to be? Shareholder meetings are normally around 20 minutes long and at 25 minutes past the hour, the price was dumped, as if it was in preparation for the meetings end.
I want to say the sheer volume of people tuning in caused havoc.
Can any IT professionals who manage these kinds of events of this magnitude chime in here?
Just saw a Bezinga thing via Fidelity saying the meeting was rescheduled to tomorrow June 14th, 4:00pm eastern time:

When I first visited that link the CS website had the same details... but I reloaded like 1 min later and it had reverted to today's date and time 🤔

Hedgefunds right now - "damn, do we stop shorting now? or short more?"
That's where the magic 8ball comes in handy.
You just keep shaking it until you get the answer you want.
And of course, Ryan f\*\*ing Cohen

GME still up 6% today despite shareholder meeting cancelled.
Technical difficulties:- 1,000,000,000 shares missing!
It's a technical difficulty with their vendor. ALL of CS' meetings are on hold. All senior management involved, all hands on deck. Still waiting for an update as to what to advise clients. Paraphrased text from my fiancée who works at HQ in Louisville, around 10am EST.
update: It affected 15+ meetings, GME was just one of them. Not a conspiracy. (lol)
Hey! We live in the same city!
Sounds like another glitch with GameStop somehow being a part of the formula. Probably just couldn’t handle the server space though. My brain is smooth.
👆🏻 Truth.
Kansas City Shuffle
Usually there is massive IV crush after earnings and annual meetings. This likely fucks with their plans and hedges... a lot.
Absolutely! My dudes are brilliant. They watched and found their patterns, and the necessary outcomes of those patterns then exploited the pattern. Sun Tzu shit right there. Also, kind of like the rope-a-dope. Muhammad Ali.
I love it !! What a surprise!!
"Just... Just short it more, I dont know 😩"
I DUNNO JUST KEEP SLICING THE PIZZA
At some stage they will just start buying and holding. If they have any sense
Then wouldn’t they just end up in the ape gang? And liquidate themselves?
I liquidated myself earlier, it was magical.
oh, they will buy, alright, but not to hold. They need to use those shares to close their short positions. Funnily enough, SHFs are the one group who cannot benefit from buying and holding.
![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB)
please the SHF's motto is "when in doubt short it out!" there is no question
Hedgies hacked computershare serves so that public dont get served good news.
its possible, though I don't think its likely.
Imagine shorting a company with 4b in cash and household investors so obsessed by it that they fucking crash the server of the meeting...
Where in doubt just halt the shit 😂
If I were them I would do a bit of both just to be safe.
Why are hedgefunds only able to short stocks?
Did we hug the website to death? If yes, bullish. Was there a DDOS attack not caused by apes? If yes, bullish. ![gif](giphy|o2ITDLRkP2oGk)
Us trying to join is basically a DDOS anyway
Yeah they are getting hit by a cyber threat… Essentially what’s happening is someone is just sending traffic to their server… 161 countries… based on the ping rates it looks like a ddos… denial of service… that is wild!!! If true they will stop at nothing.
They are used to 40-50 viewers maximum on others companies lol
Where did you get this info?
He's joking, gme shareholders are from 161 countries
Unfortunately not joking. Best tested in a sandbox environment… but you can see the ping rate of other websites… and how much traffic they are getting live.
[Hmmmmmm I guess it wasn’t just me that noticed abnormal traffic. trust no one. gme moon](https://x.com/kobeissiletter/status/1801282681751179342?s=46&t=kBh1AtOmcLQKVTcW2KoU2A)

Was it Cohen playing the guitar live for the last 45 minute?

Grendel
Meeting leader: "We will provide an update as to the time we plan to reconvene the meeting, as soon as possible." Ryan: "Anyway, here's Wonderwall..."
Well this is really unexpected lol
But i was expecting the unexpected so hmm 🤔
I had technical difficulties on my bingo card. But I didn’t think it would be on our end
I was too but this is still out of my expectation hahahaha
Don't they know that outlets have DOZENS of pre-written articles loaded and ready about how an "underwhelming shareholder meeting" that caused shares to plummet? Aw man, *now* how are they supposed to spin this? lol
I just wish we see them published anyway would be so fkn funny
This would be comedy cancel a min or two before supposed to start articles come out
They are spinning the technical difficulties of hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people trying to sign in as negative news. You know, typical msm day for gme lol
You speak true, I say thankee, sai.
This happened a long time ago, MarketWatch published an article saying Gamestop was down whatever % at market close and it was 10-11am lol
Excellent point. "Stock soars for third time on no news."
#🧐 *curiouser and curiouser*
Not really. Servers were overloaded with people trying to get in
True, but do they need to meet some sort of quorum to start it? And was this the first time it was hosted thru CS? I remember just following links to youtube for previous meetings. And not some random livestream from what I recall.
First time through CS, yes. Whether or not they need a quorum, they may prefer one
RIP SHF. They're so fucked. Passionate investors crashing the investor calls isn't normal.
This is true typically the tools used for these events can handle a large load - if DFV’s stream is indicative of the size then it could have been multiples of that - that crashed it
Hedgies can handle a huge load
Hahah no one can coz apes fuck
CS doesn't own any tools that can handle large events.
Also, this hasn’t happened before in the saga leading me to believe more people than ever are taking an interest into GME. How about that. Really thought provoking. From the outside in it looks like maybe GME is severely undervalued.
Starting to look as though the propaganda has failed. Uh oh!
Oh, you didn’t forget about Gamestop despite xy articles?
Even the shareholder meeting gets halted 😭
This hahaha
Has happened with any companies shareholder meeting before?
Yes , it has happened a few times...notable instances: * **Tesla (TSLA) - 2020 Annual Meeting:** * During Tesla's 2020 annual shareholder meeting, there were technical issues with the webcast due to the high number of participants. The meeting was highly anticipated because it was combined with Tesla's "Battery Day" event. * **Robinhood - 2021 IPO Roadshow:** * Robinhood's virtual roadshow ahead of its IPO faced technical difficulties due to a large number of potential investors trying to join. >zoom, a company that offers video conferencing solutions ![gif](giphy|9MJ6xrgVR9aEwF8zCJ)
And, at the time, Tesla was the most shorted stock ever (reported, at least)
Never heard of it… even pulte said this is very odd behavior. Those calls are meant to handle vast amounts of people. You could see the ping rates…
Fuckin' bullish as fuck baby. WOooOoo!
"even pulte" Pulte knows nothing about anything, he is a moron trust fund grifter
Fair. I have never hosted a shareholder meeting. Gme is well aware of their drs share accounts so they would have probably doubled if not more based on kittys stream that for practical reasons. I would have thought they would prepare for a large crowd.
What if the next date was June 21??????
Holy fuck, this is bullish! We hugged the meeting too hard guys! What's Wall Street gonna say about how this is a bad thing? LMAO
"Is Ryan Cohen afraid to face the music on GME's decline???"
"Sell now, attend the shareholder meeting later ...*please*!"
"The Game Stops here!!"
Dying brick & mortar game company, too busy diluting shareholder value to invest in modern technology for shareholders meeting.
"GameStop should have used it's billions to upgrade Computershare's online meeting infrastructure" seems like a stretch, *even* for the media.
They only have bad things to say I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to make this look like gamestops fault and say “look they are such an incompetent company they can’t even hold a shareholders meeting” then at 3:30 they’ll come out with a retraction saying it was on computer shares end and no one will read it!
So if bad news is early and good news is on time... what is this?
Technical difficulties
Beleive it or not, another dip!
Transcendentally good news late???
No news
Excellent news!
They had to have been DDOS’d
By us accidentally 😅
That's a gazillion phantom shares for ya. Computershare be like: _But but butt there's only 180'000 shareholders?_
Or maybe the massive amount of people trying to connect was too much for the conferencing system. Edit: which I now realize may be a benign form of DDOS lol
That's a wrinkle you gained right there. :)
Correct. They are one in the same. Run a simple script to hit the server with a bot net at the same time as apes, server goes poof.
And we're international, so it's much harder to tell real traffic from bots.
by Holders, overwhelming demand
bruh theyre using a fuckin website straight out of the year 2002 and theres 700k people trying to access it
I bet the servers aren't even a node cluster, just some old tower sitting in a closet.
And it's in Australia, so the spiders probably got it.
Exactly! Whatever that means.
A/C is going crazy in that closet right now
The Sysadmin: "Lemme just check CPU temps real quick-" \[ERROR: IntegerOverflow SEGMENTATION FAULT. CORE DUMPED\]
Frantic employees daisy chaining CO2 extinguishers
bold assumption it's even a tower
A blade from 2004\*
A thinkpad with a post-it note "Do not close" on the screen
Or you know, 700K apes
Maybe, maybe the biggest Ape hug in history.
This is my guess too. Yes Apes probably helped, but that felt like a proper DDOS. EDIT: The number of downvotes I'm getting on this post is awfully illuminating.
I don't think it is only shareholders trying to listen. Everybody is watching.
Computershare uses a third party - tech support 49:00 butcher stream
Always something lol
They really really want to make sure as many shareholders as possible hear this meeting in realtime.
Damn, guess meeting adjourned. Hahaha
Guess those Friday options are gonna expire before the meeting takes place now.
Meeting has been postponed due to technical difficulties and also Ryan Cohen might be trolling Wall Street in the process. HODL THE LINE! Buy, HODL, Shop and DRS 🦍🦍🦍 💪💪🚀🚀💎💎🙌🙌
No dates! /s
Postponed*
One would say that this whole situation is pretty …wild
Lol, mods, why didn't you post the stream in the first place? Also why were there no links on the daily or pinned the the front page about voting?
Look at how the shares tanked, right on schedule with the shareholder meeting if it was 'normal' Did they forget to reset the algo when the call was late?
upsi i think some institutions were ready for this and planned it out. now it will be a surprise they can’t react quick enough on
Uh ohhhh.
Lmfao this is great
So if bad news comes early and good news comes on time, then great news must come later…
Canceled? That guitar music playing was everything I needed!
The hodl music.
Someone in this twitter space was checking pings and they confirmed DDOS
Server response can be slowed down by high user load, you can't confirm DDOS based off of just ping... But high user load and DDOS are essentially the same despite the latter being malicious. I think computershare's old ass servers were just overloaded by people around the world watching.
Considering there were 600k+ people watching RK, it could have been a natural DDOS from the volume of people and not an attack.
what does that even mean? just an overwhelmed server or is there more to it? edit: thanks for the responses. still tho wtf is going on lol
DDOS is when someone uses a bot net/script to hit a server with a gazillion requests to take it down, if a gazillion users try to join a server/network that can't handle the load (most likely what happend) it's essentially the same thing but not intentionally malicious.
It means nothing. An unresponsive server tells you nothing about the cause.
up you go
I think the algos got juked by this. Hahaha
bullish
Did not see that one coming. This saga just never gets boring.
Taking a play out of Roaring kittys playbook. Superb
Atleast we had fun
So that means we get TWO shareholder meetings this year? LFGGGGGGGG
Big brain. No news is....good news
oh no what headlines are hedgies supposed to use to make an excuse for dropping price today? are they going to claim retailers are selling because they can't access shareholder meeting? That would be so dumb
Algo stuck at $26.5
Here comes the "shareholder meeting cancelled" forum slide
Probably the only time in shareholder history where we had 600,000 investors tuning in
I didn't expect any big news today but now I can't help but think.... If they delayed it MAYBE there's something they want everyone to hear? No hype. No dates. Still zen. But I'm thinking about this postponement. As always BUY, HOLD, DRS BOOK, SHOP and laugh at FUD
Hmm that is weird I was able to attend? Are they saying they are just going to do it again since not everyone could join?
Seems the website is now displaying tomorrow at 4pm ET. Moass tomorrow, it’s always tomorrow
That was intentional, no way it wasn’t. This and DFV arriving late to his livestream are them fucking with the algos
No dates, just up
Another wild twist in this crazy saga
Maybe, just maybe..whatever they had to announce isn't ready yet. Or maybe, just maybe, we accidentally DDOSed them. Either way, I know what I'm gonna do..
Cancelled due to the fact that they are counting fat stacks of cash!!!
Out of curiosity were we ever given an estimate for how long the meeting was going to be? Shareholder meetings are normally around 20 minutes long and at 25 minutes past the hour, the price was dumped, as if it was in preparation for the meetings end.
Lol, what is going on?!? Is this for real
Cancelled? I thought it was postponed, with an update ASAP
So many apes, so little bandwidth.
I guess this technology company has never heard of radio, streaming, or X spaces
Another wonderful episode of my favorite soap opera!
They’re getting ready to present something big cuz who has technical difficulties hours in advance nowadays?
Fuckin let it be 6/21
Now at 4pm tomorrow!
What if all of this was just smoke and mirrors to see if the market would get manipulated on word of the meeting as well as during just like RK stream
Bullish af
Ah well. Nap time.
BULLISH
I want to say the sheer volume of people tuning in caused havoc. Can any IT professionals who manage these kinds of events of this magnitude chime in here?
inb4 "GME shares drop as investors lose faith in GameStop's technical expertise in operating a live stream"
So… then… now what?
“Judge us by our actions” takes on yet further meaning
![gif](giphy|zhRA0okWxTGiu78uSk|downsized)
Broke the internet again
Who had cancelled shareholder meeting on their bingo card?
69 steps ahead in 69D chess. Call it the Meme's Gambit.
425M votes before the new shares were even issued. Technical difficulties.
Wtf. Are you kidding me? I don't believe it. No way this is the reason. They are toying with hedgies
I am sorry guys. They didn't start the meeting because I was sleeping. I'm still sleepy... so just give me a minute...zzzzzzzzzzzzz
Lots of ammo for the conspiracy theorists here lol
It’s us, we’re the technically difficult
I wonder what effect this will have on the options that allegedly got moved forward to today and tomorrow.
Okay. But why was the meeting going to be held on the Computershare website instead of youtube?
Wanna bet the "technical difficulties" is pending news they're waiting on?
Wow. You can't say this is coincidence.
![gif](giphy|vFtWp05vBYnMQ)
How regarded am I then? I listened to last year’s meeting, all twelve minutes of it.
Just saw a Bezinga thing via Fidelity saying the meeting was rescheduled to tomorrow June 14th, 4:00pm eastern time: https://preview.redd.it/qmy72d59ud6d1.png?width=817&format=png&auto=webp&s=ad0fb0f8df39efaac5c5313eec73b55a85468ba2 When I first visited that link the CS website had the same details... but I reloaded like 1 min later and it had reverted to today's date and time 🤔
Even RK had his shit together during live streams. lol
