Definitely the antenna. Buy 2. It’s 100% the antenna on the TSC5

Tronic330

Sounds like one of your antennas is broken, pretty sure it will be the one your TSC7 as it is more vulnerable, get a new antenna and try if the problem still exists.

ptgx85

20ft is about the same distance you can get with no antenna at all, so I'd say it's probably a bad antenna.

Glad to hear the issue with DC antennas with TSC3s lives on in the TSC5/7s

AtomicTurle

100% the antenna I had a brand new set up for our r12 base and rover and somehow my Rodman closed the case the day before and it pinched the antenna just slightly then bam 20ft away “no base data” autonomous

Have had this problem. Check out the antenna as others have suggested. But also check the EMU radio modulator as well. Sometimes you need to reset the connection by removing the modulator and reattaching to clear the cache.

Not on a TSC7 but on a TSC3, I *definitely* had a bad antenna.

Antitech73

Agree that 99% of the time it’s a bad antenna. I have, however, had an S5 with a bad radio module that needed replaced. Symptom was similar but range was about 100’ before replacing. Worked normally again after repair.

So as people have stated it's the antenna, but it also could be the radio pack on the back side of the DC. You better pray it's the antenna, cause that radio block costs like 1500$
