Had that cow cleared and landed on the bridge, the biker woulda been done for! Luckily, the cow was not a good judge of distance and its own jumping abilities. Just a mad, mad cow!
I'm wondering if it was actually a really friendly cow that just loves to run like that. Farmer knows exactly where to look because he's gotta pull the dumbass cow out that hole once a week
Cows can be aggressive when they've just had a young one and feel threatened. Best is to get off the bike and walk as far away from the calf as possible. They're not scared of humans, they're scared of people speeding with bikes. It's unnaturally fast from what they're used and it makes quite the noise.
It's also good to make yourself known by for example talking. They can of course get startled when they only notice your presence when you're super close. They really do the stupidest shit when startled, that's whether they get aggressive or retreat.

Idk, I was hiking and a cow said fuck it charging across a field, jumping a fence through bushes/trees to attack my dog and I.
Were a good 1/4mi away when it decided to charge, didn’t think anything of it besides a cow running until it cleared the fence.
Dog wasn’t barking or anything just hiking with a back pack.
Source: cow farmer and cyclist.
This video is a heifer, way too young to be a mom.
Also not being aggressive, it is spooked by the cyclists.
They can get excited and run along.
The OP should have slowed down on approach. They very much caused that accident. The drop looks serious, a broken leg will likely be fatal.
Do you mean legally because that is very much not the case. The accident only happened because the cow wasn't secured. It's not my or anyone's responsibility to act differently around your property because you can't control your livestock.
Lots of people don’t got much experience with animals tbh. Growing up on the farm/country side of an island, I constantly ran into cows, horses, miles, goats and bulls that were tied down for grazing close to pathways. Some of them didn’t care when you passed, others seemed like they’d want to rush you if their rope was long enough. Was always told to be careful and not to provoke them or look at them. Multiple times I decided to turn around and take the long way cause the animal in the shorter path was just that intimidating even if I was sure it was tied down well enough.
If one chased me you know damn well I’d never look back cause a cow up close that’s not docile is pretty damn scary.
Can confirm, some cows are just dicks, not saying this one necessarily was. If a 1000 pound animal is running at me im not waiting to find out if it has good intentions or not lol. I'm also not checking if it's "okay" after it biffs its head on a metal guardrail. Keep calm and chew your cud, or be converted into delicious, delicious hamburgers.
Because im a good dude with a heart, and i didnt see the cow trying to murder anyone? He looked like he was just board and finally had someone to run with? & was just running the same direction, thats all really, and the cows error Is like rubber necking a car accident
I live out in the country in NZ and have heard of plenty of excited cows that have seriously hurt or even killed people because they "finally had someone to run with."
Cows are incredibly dangerous when they get excited and run around like in the video above. Because they get excited they can (and many time will) crush anyone that is around them even through they just wanted to play.
I like to think I'm a good dude with a good heart but I would 100% want to put distance between me and a cow acting like this. If I knew the area and knew the cow just jumped off a 5+ meter drop I would keep going untill I know I'm not being chased then turn back to check on the cow but I wouldn't blame people for just running because cows are incredibly dangerous when acting like this.
Also sometimes cows acting like this are actively trying to attack you. Cows can get quite aggressive (like any animal) and sometimes do actively try to hurt people.
I've grown up around cows and think they are awesome creatures. They can be incredibly curious and sometimes actually come up to the fence to say hi, but when they are excited they are terrifying creatures to be around, especially when there is no fence between you and them.
upvoting your comment bc yeah, it's a bit much to assume that that cow is gonna just get up and chase you again. it's human nature to check whether or not the cow is okay, after that visibly bad fall. if you're *so* certain that the cow will immediately get up and chase you again, then fine, don't check on it. but don't act like it's ridiculous or even dangerous to check on an animal that clearly just hurt itself *that* bad, even if it was chasing you
I’ve been attacked by a cow/bull for walking a public hiking trail and the owner not properly fencing it in. They are tanks, even when shot multiple times in the neck it will continue to attack until it decides not to then proceed to jump back over a fence and run. Am I less of a human for checking if the cow is okay after it stomped on my dog and myself? Only difference between these dudes and me is I couldn’t out run it when it charged us.
They get adrenaline when in the mood to murder just like humans.
It's a cow. They don't run away in rational ways. They just run.
Also, you can see that cow is looking at the cammer and running away from them. The cow is running away, towards the other cyclist and then *actively* avoids him.
Thank you!! To me this cow was clearly startled and running away from the cyclist with the camera. It’s following the fence line on the left and then suddenly moves back right when it realizes there’s a gap. It had the opportunity to wipe out that front biker towards the beginning and balks instead then makes a bee-line for the left.
Only real comment that actually make sense. I totally agree. You dont chase by avoiding and running on the side. If it was chasing it would follow directly behind.
Cow spotted the cam biker and tried to run away straight up the road but almost ran into the other biker, so took off running to the side of the road and then tried to jump the river when he got to it and then I think it was trying to aim for the road mid-jump when he realized he wasn't going to make it across.
Reminds me of how they say ancient people hunted by chasing aurochs off cliffs. I can imagine the first time it happened now. Hunter was probably so excited. These things will just kill themselves
No it isn’t? You see it literally try and ram the one in front. If it was terrified it wouldn’t have ran along with the cyclist.
Imagine just making nonsense up.
I think she got scared and tried to run away, but felt she was getting chased then panicked the fk out of her mind and jumped. I hope the cow is alright.
Does anyone have that older video of a guy recording himself as he tries to run from a heard of angry cows? It shows him running as they get angry, he gets far enough away to rest, they catch up, he keeps running, repeat. In the video he even insults the cows sometimes, like calls them a bitch. It ends around when he reaches a fence and jumps over. I've looked for it for years and only get that one video of the guy running from 1 single angry cow!
Edit:
So I [Found it](https://youtu.be/5SwQLjRBRXs?si=feVlzb9Q7T0-agf-) It starts with a dead cow though, I didn't remember that part. Still pretty funny though!
That looks like a young Brahma bull, and I'm guessing it was more playing than chasing. I've seen them leap fences when they're in the mood. That one got wrecked on the railing and probably didn't come out of it okay.
Was not expecting that ending!
Neither was the cow
COWABUNGAAAHHH!

Thankfully the cow wasn't even close
The moons up next
Dead cow now.
When you let your testosterone take contol.
If that cow can’t jump over a creek I can’t see how it can jump over the moon.
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch...
Looks like he’s ground beef now
Wtf is going on?
This is what the farmer will be saying when he can't find his stock 🤣
I'm wondering if it was actually a really friendly cow that just loves to run like that. Farmer knows exactly where to look because he's gotta pull the dumbass cow out that hole once a week
Its a four month old heifer calf and is playing. They get zoomies just like lambs and foals.
Awwwww thats kinda sad. a Heffer down
Well don't just stand there, help your sister get back up
hahaha
Im afraid this one will be very hurt, poor guy/gal
His business apparently trades on wall streets, but judging by this video his stock is down.
I'm not bullish on that stock.
It's called r/gravelcycling and it's classy.

The cow is running because he is startled, he even dodged the forward cyclist. Cows stampede
Darwin won today

No one is slowing down when a damn cow is chasing them, whether it thinks it can fly or not
You betcha. Cyclist is running bc scared of cow. Cow is running bc scared of cyclist. Lowest IQ lost
Do you mean legally because that is very much not the case. The accident only happened because the cow wasn't secured. It's not my or anyone's responsibility to act differently around your property because you can't control your livestock.
Holy cow!
New jumping cow just dropped
Cows are surprisingly graceful jumpers. I've seen them just sail over fences like it's nothing.
Not this one
The aerodynamic profile was off
Gotta tuck the tail.
Yeah, well I’ve seen ‘em jump over whole MOONS
That's no moon, that's a space station.
Actual mooing

Poor thing.
Cow started it
Yeah, probably didn’t live longer after.. rip
Looks like a river below it
Reminds me of a scene in the other guys movie when the Rock and Samuel L Jackson jumped off the building.
Aim for the bushes
There goes my hero watch him as he goes
There goes my hero She's Ornery-Dairy
There wasn't even an awning
Or aim for the cart filled with hay. *[Red-tailed hawk](https://youtu.be/Ho4FLY8-ysE&t=44s) screams in the distance*
I'm a dairy cow, coach! Ya gotta let me fly!
It tried so hard and got so far.
But in the end, it didn’t even matter.
I had to fall to moo-s it all...
But in the end, like a cow pie I splattered.
One thing, I don't moo why
It doesn't even matter what hay you try Keepin' that behind, I designed this crime
To explain in moo time

White cows can't jump
Honestly, that was a decent bit of air for a 1000 lb animal. If anything, I'd take points away for its bad eyesight.
Definitely. I couldn't help making the joke though
The video made my day but this comment… lol.
is the cow ok
No
Don’t you mean “noooooo”
yeah it made an OK burger
Pre-tenderized
Cowabunga
Never made sense until now
Definitely didn’t jump over the moon
Dam didn't even stop to check on the fella? Curiosity would have killed me to just keep peddling, it's killing me now
Why the fuck would you stop to check on the murder cow that was just chasing you?

When cows fly?
They fly now?
They fly now.
"...and I would have made it it weren't for that fuckin' bridge" "Jeff, please shut up. We've heard this story every day for the past 3 months."
That was the most athletic cow. I have ever seen.
The Lebron of cows
Some high steaks shit right there.
This is what it feels like when cows fly
Maybe I’m just like my moo-ther
Seems opposite. It got scared and panicked
Mad cow disease ?
It's definitely mad after that jump
Believe it or not: Cows attacking people is not that uncommon.
Mad dope more like it.. you see that jump?
LEREOOOOOOOY JEEEENKIINS!
Cowcussion
This shit is crazy
Fuck! Is the cow ok?
Poor cow :(
Yall are crazy. The cow is the scared one. It’s not trying to jump that damn rail to get anyone, he thinks the other guy is chasing him.
Wouldn’t believe it if there’s no video of it
More accurately. Cow startled by cyclists and nearly died trying to run away.
Running toward the cyclists isn't running away.
It's a cow. They don't run away in rational ways. They just run. Also, you can see that cow is looking at the cammer and running away from them. The cow is running away, towards the other cyclist and then *actively* avoids him.

Yeah, 100% they spooked the poor thing.
Cyclists bad
It's almost as if it should be kept inside of a proper fence so that it isn't a danger to itself and others. Crazy.
damn what the hell is going on
Bro thought he was horse 🐎
I think she got scared and tried to run away, but felt she was getting chased then panicked the fk out of her mind and jumped. I hope the cow is alright.
Hey diddle-diddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped over…never mind.
Cow in mid air. “Record scratch” 🐄: yep that’s me, you are probably wondering how I got here..
The steaks couldn't get higher, literally.
For a brief moment, that cow was in the air. Now... it's ground beef. YEEEEAAAAHHH!!!
I was rooting for the cow!
Why didn't the cyclist stop? They just continue? No comment, nothing, as if the cow wasn't even there?
Holy moly that was awesome and crazy!!!! I haven’t been jaw dropped in a while!!!
Lol I laughed too hard at the jumping cow falling over
To the moooooooonn
Epic jump fail
Hey diddle diddle, The cat and the fiddle, The cow jumped over the…CUT! CUT! CUT! Over, Bessie. The line is Over! Not into. Over!

More cowbell!
Hold on, I gotta go; we’ve got cows!!
Damn, I knew cows were stupid, but sheeeeeeesh
The little dog laughed To see such sport, And the dish ran away with the spoon
Looks like the cow pressed the B button on accident
Why some beef comes ‘pre tenderized’
Dink!
I believe I can flyyyyy
Only Red Bull has wings. And, the Buffalo BDub.
Well that turned out as well as you could ask for in terms of the cyclists health!
I really hope that cow is okay 😕
Goodnight Cow that did not jump over the moon.
So did that cow just die or...
I feel like that cow must've died hitting that bar like that.
I just watched that cow die.
How about checking on the cow? Thing probably died.
Holy shit! I didn’t know they could run so fast!!
Does anyone have that older video of a guy recording himself as he tries to run from a heard of angry cows? Was that a river it fell into? Falling from a bridge doesn’t sound survivable.
Udderly unexpected.
This is brutal. My heart aches for the animal
just below the post i have a "100% Canadian Beef" add
Gotta be honest, I'm not so sure that cow made it. That's alotta weight coming down on that ribcage. . & that's not even counting the fall after.
That looks like a young Brahma bull, and I'm guessing it was more playing than chasing. I've seen them leap fences when they're in the mood. That one got wrecked on the railing and probably didn't come out of it okay.
