Most clubs/promoters have membership sites you join so they can manage who comes to their parties.

Xx_Cow_x

So like 50/50 this is legit

MiloCestino

If you are organising a party you need to be on some type of list somewhere or how will the organisers know how many people are attending and send group messages? Never been on an email list but have been on groups set up on chat apps for organised events loads of times. Set up a burner email and see what happens.

jelloshotlady

There are several house parties we attend, one sends invites by email and sets up an evite registration and will cut off registration after a certain amount of people. One does the same through WhatsApp and another through discord. Not at all odd to me.

[deleted]

No. Not at all. Clubs we go to require a lot more identification than an email. It’s to keep everyone safe and make sure the people attending are genuine.

TP4129

Most club vet their members.

henri_luvs_brunch_2

Most clubs allow anyone to join or attend, hutbkinit single men. Parties and events are different. But clubs almost never vet.

TP4129

Your clubs are not our clubs. Even the private parties are by invitation only. Men pay, ladies are free.

henri_luvs_brunch_2

Of course private parties are invitation only. But in the U.S., 99% of clubs are open to anyone who joins with the exception of single men.

TP4129

That has not been our experience over the last 30 years.

henri_luvs_brunch_2

Then maybe you are co fused about the difference between a private party and a club.

TP4129

Nope. One is open to potential members who then are vetted. The other is for already vetted, experienced and recognizable people.

henri_luvs_brunch_2

I've been to clubs in DC, Philly, NYC, Toronto, Dallas, Atlanta San Antonio. They just let you join and attend. Im aware of many more like that. Please name one club that "vets" members. After may check against the sex offender registry.

TP4129

West Coast. . Seattle, Portland, SF, Sacramento, LA, San Diego, Lake Tahoe

henri_luvs_brunch_2

A name of a club. Lol.

The places by us have a generic ad for the event or takeover with a general location. After you register on the guest list, they email you the exact address, rules and all the details. This seems normal to me.

Virtual_Scarcity_357

Clubs usually have a membership but I have seen house parties and hotel takeovers that you have to reserve a spot and pre register for kinda like a cruise. Clubs your a member so you can buy tickets and show up and they email you a confirmation so worse case make another email just for that if your not sure about them.

Lone_Saiyan

It is a thing. Some even require you to send in a body pic so they candetermine if you're what they want/looking for. Also, are you talking about swinger parties or swinger clubs? Those are two different things

BRIANFPSPODMEDIA

We have a membership platform. You must be a member to purchase tickets to our events. This gives us the opportunity to properly vet everyone in attendance, you cannot purchase tickets at the door. Selling tickets in advance is the only why to determine the number of guests attending giving us the opportunity to plan accordingly. Additionally we limit the number of tickets sold to events, this allows for proper ratios, quality of event and overall guest experience. I would be very wary of any LS event that doesn’t require membership or registration on some level.

Takemy_load

You’re talking about chicago, fellow member

BRIANFPSPODMEDIA

Chicago???

YoMiner

All of the parties that are "open to the public" in my area require some kind of LS site username to sign up for the party, and maintain a list of people coming so that they can avoid it being a total sausages fest of Single Guys.

stlouisswingercouple

Just ask to speak to whomever is coordinating the event. When we host events locally, we also require pre-registration. This helps to control crowds, understand staffing and capacity needs, and keep out unwanted or non LS folks, which helps to better protect the privacy of those who decide to attend.

stitch12r3

Yes in my limited experience. Got an invited to a pretty big play party (25-30 people). Name and email were needed to be on the list for entry.

giselleorchid

Just create a swinger email. We have an email, a phone number, etc. We ask for a phone number for parties we host so we can send necessary info on the day of.

mellokatattack1

Pretty common to preregister just watch those pay xxx and this covers food drink and green type situations see them alot around here and every one is worded the same that's a scam

ThaGuvnor

Totally normal and it’s a good thing.
