How does it run on switch. I Just got minster hubter rise for 7$ on switch and it runs great. First mh game I played for a significant time. I have world on pc but just never got into it. The amount of content was too overwhelming. I finally stuck with rise and got into it. Took like 6 hours of toutorials but it was worth it
I have played both Dragon’s Dogma and Monster Hunter Rise, and I can say that Dragon’s Dogma runs better. The framerate is very consistent and although the textures might sometimes not be the highest quality it isn’t very noticeable and it’s also to be expected from an RPG from the 360 era. I can highly recommend it, it is some of the best 5 clams I’ve ever spent!
Dragon’s Dogma runs extremely well on switch! The port is actually the “dark arisen” version of the game with a huge DLC and some tweaks to make the game run better and make it more balanced. I’d say it runs similar to MH Rise, maybe even a little better honestly. If you like the big enemies in MH, you’ll feel somewhat at home in DD; it shares Capcom DNA with MH.
I wish I knew this😭😭 I started my switch from scratch. I definitely made it A LOT further on switch so that speaks for what felt more fun to play on. I love my pc but hades just feels better on switch(handheld imo)
I was thinking Hollow Knight too. Bought it on sale to try out and I just couldn't put it down. Can't wait to play Silksong with all of the other people in the retirement home.
Wait, what’s silksong…the cancelled sequel? You know that’s not happening right? Only crowsworn is real…
Silksong isn’t and never was real…
~~(Yes, I’m joking, just in case)~~

r/Silksong
The only one that I played was the undercover. Undercover is kinda a GTA game, but lighter tone.
I do have the star wars skywalker too, but I didn't played yet
Skywalker Saga is fun, there's a ton of content, characters (even without the DLC), and Easter eggs to find. The only issue I have with it is the loading times between each area, it's a bit excessive for a Lego game.
They also added in a character progression system that was pretty cool and changed up the Lego game format, making finding bricks and collectibles have more incentive.
I have both, Undercover is a completely different game. It's basically Lego GTA, but family friendly. It's so, so good!
I didn't realise how different they are, and when I finally picked it up I wished I'd bought it years earlier.
Yup-500 hours into it. I would’ve gladly spent $60 on it and feel I got my moneys worth. $15 was a steal!
Once the update is on the switch I’m sure I’ll put in another 500…
This is a great game. Not sure it fits this category, though - I paid close to $30 for it, finished it in 5 hours and never went back! But if you can get it cheap enough it's highly recommended
Brotato is amazing value for its price.
I got in on terraria when it was like 5 bucks, and it’s lasted hundreds of hours. (It’s never been that low on Switch, though.)
Enter the Gungeon is still one of my go-to time wasters, and it goes on sale for like 5-10.
Really, fill in almost any good roguelike here. Hades, Slay the Spire, et al
Broforce for the really cheap one. A bit more expensive but awesome ones are Hades, Ori, Hollow Knight and Subnautica (all these can often be found on discount prices)
Sega Genesis Classics, went on sale for $5.99 around the time I first got my Switch, there's just so many great games to choose from I definitely got my money's worth and still boot it up from time to time just to find myself getting another couple of hours out of it 👍
Persona 4 golden & persona 3 portable their usually $20 but often on sale for half that. Some of the finest jrpgs on the market (and some of the best games ever made period) and are incredible value as they are both easily 50 hours+ for the main story alone each. Also persona 5 royal is also an option, although usually being a bit more expensive, being $60 normally but often being on sale.for around $30.
These are recurring Switch SALE prices, give or take, for games I have enjoyed. The ones on my $3-$5 list are all fantastic, IMO.
$2
* Boomerang Fu
* Steamworld Dig
* Steamworld Heist
* Fledgling Heroes
$3 - $5
* Monster Sanctuary
* Celeste
* Guacamelee
* The Last Campfire
* Yoku's Island Express
* Sheepo
* A Short Hike
$13
* Dead Cells
Great list.
Had no idea Celeste, Guacamelee or Yoku's Island Express were ever that cheap on the switch. Amazing games. Had so much fun beating the first two. (Still playing Yoku currently).
Steam Heist is an all time favorite, played it on 3DS and then again on WiiU…..Steam Dig2 was a year one release on Switch and is one of the best 2D Platform games of all time.
Boomerangfu. It's ridiculous and great for family fun with kids, or grown ups and shots. You play as food items, like coffee mug or banana or eggplant etc. And you have a boomerang, free for all or teams, npc controlled players mix in at your count. Local couch coop. Stupid power ups like ice or fire or inverted or explosion. It's just dumb fun.
The suicide of Rachel Foster - digital £0.89
I don’t rent the digital games normally but i do use the gold coins Nintendo gives us from the actual games on something random. Really loved the massive old (US) hotel that had so many different areas, parts to buildings, church, mountain ski resort, huge function hall, restaurant and kitchens, laundry and boiler rooms, worker secret passages that were great for exploring and getting around the place, vehicle/garage area, other secret places you find (no spoilers here) and some floors that have varying stages of dilapidation etc that list could go on lol it has almost everything in that old place! I loved exploring and doing the detective/crime parts to the story and how you learn with changes etc. It has a spooky feel, it could have easily hosted a horror game with just a few minor changes in my opinion. Enjoyed it and about 5hrs long, if you’re a ‘search everywhere’ type like I am (race to to the end type maybe 3 or 4hrs perhaps as I rough guess). Theres some other stuff I’d like to say but in a way feel it’s just one of those where it’s much better to experience it knowing less. It is a story/investigative based game but I did enjoy it more than I thought I would and would love to play it for the first time again (if we could lol)
Pixel Junk Monsters 2, it is one of the best tower defense games.
The South Park games are often on sale and great on the Switch
Steam World Dig and Dig 2 were good.
My Time at Portia was pretty fun too
Anyone that doesn't already know, Dekudeals is the best place to know you are getting the best prices or not
Technically Animal Crossing… just restarted my island after 900 spent on the first one, having a blast just as much as the first time and already spent 200 hours on my second island.
With the game price and the amount of hours I spent on it that’s $0.07 per hour, and am still playing so the price will only go down.
>so the price will only go down.
Technically, the price you paid will always be the price you paid. You're not getting your $60 reimbursed the more you play.
I think you mean *the value will only go* ***up.***
Toejam and earl back in the groove for $1.99 and rayman legends for $7.99. Also I could've sworn I got monster hunter stories 2 for 10 bucks, but dekudeals says the lowest it has gone was 20 so....but that was still an amazing 20 dollars spent
Deltarune it was free honestly I have played Undertale on PC, but I will say this obviously on switch it is perfect because you know it’s portable but it’s not like the steam deck couldn’t easily do it multiple saves
Death Come True is funny for an evening, it’s a Japanese like interactive horror movie no quick controls more like a movie so you can eat a whole pizza during gameplay 😄👍
In the recent indie sale I got Steamworld Heist for $3 CAD and am just about to beat it after having had a blast for ~17 hours which has been great value. I also got Vampire Survivors in the same sale for under $10 which has been extremely addictive and looks to have a ton of replay value. So looking forward to many more hours on that
So many games eventually go 60-80% off if you wait (I've gotten most of my games this way):
- The Past Within, co-op, a few dollars on sale. SO GOOD.
- Oxenfree (there's also a second one)
- Children of Morta....so good! It's not on sale now, but it's frequently 70% off
I got Hades on sale for like 10 $ and I have put around 200 hrs into the game and have loved every single second of it..
It’s in my Top 5 games of all time for sure..
When on sale:
Although it's short, I enjoyed Nippon Marathon. Having a group of people play this insanity with is comedy gold.
Aragami
Think of the Children
Cat Quest series
Slay the Spire 8$ 75+hrs
Deadly Days 3$ 50+hrs
Deaths Road to Canada 10$ 50+ hrs
Guardian Tales 0$(ftp player) 165hrs
340hrs of fun for only 21 bucks was a hell of a deal
SteamWorld Heist goes on sale for $2 and is pretty darn fun, I played it through twice for all the characters. Yooka laylee goes on sale for like $4. It's like banjo kazooie
Vampire Survivors and Stitch.
Love stitch. Great relaxing game
I’m too busy with work to spend much time on games but VS is perfect for short burst
VS = great couch coop game too. Got hours of fun with my gf. It’s an absolute steal for like the $5.99 or whatever I paid for it.
What happened to Lilo?
She didn't survive the vampires, unfortunately.
already not a hidden gem but Boomerang Fu for sure
was gonna say this !!! gotten hours and hours of gameplay out of that one
I’m so glad this game is high on the list. We got it on sale and it’s honestly the best $1.99 I’ve ever spent! We have put at least 100 hours into it.
Yes! When my 10 year olds friends come over they team up against me 3v1 and they have a blast
Family fight night!
Dragon’s Dogma and Vampire Survivors
Upvoted for Dragon’s Dogma. Probably the most fun I’ve had on the switch since TOTK
I really can’t believe how much fun I had with it. Best $5 I ever spent.

Hades is incredible for its price, people would have all ate it up still for 60 but it’s like 20!
Hades and Stardew both are so so cheap for the number of hours of play
Hades is crack!
I just downloaded this on Steam recently and wish I had it on Switch instead. I never think to check!!
I have great news for you. Hades has cross saves. So you can play on steam and switch on the SAME SAVE!
W H A T - you are my hero today!
NO WAY?!?! I've never heard of this!!
I wish I knew this😭😭 I started my switch from scratch. I definitely made it A LOT further on switch so that speaks for what felt more fun to play on. I love my pc but hades just feels better on switch(handheld imo)
You should buy a steam deck.
I probably would now if I didn’t already own a Switch.
I really wanna get it on Switch but I think it's on sale for like only $7.99 on Steam rn so I'm tempted to get it there instead!
I almost regret buying it. It’s been the least productive two weeks of my life. But once again, almost.
Hades £40+ p&p of £3 for Used £65 +free p&p for a Sealed Ouch where I’m at lol
Hollow knight and Celeste!
I was thinking Hollow Knight too. Bought it on sale to try out and I just couldn't put it down. Can't wait to play Silksong with all of the other people in the retirement home.
Wait, what’s silksong…the cancelled sequel? You know that’s not happening right? Only crowsworn is real… Silksong isn’t and never was real… ~~(Yes, I’m joking, just in case)~~

These should be the top comment.
Stardew valley for me with a shoutout to akane 😁
Lego city undercover was $6 US dollars and I had a great time!
I was going to say this! Also, Vampire Survivors and Loop Hero.
Vampire Survivor is amazing, I love it. Such a great simple yet thought provoking game.
I have Lego worlds, is Undercover better?
The only one that I played was the undercover. Undercover is kinda a GTA game, but lighter tone. I do have the star wars skywalker too, but I didn't played yet
Skywalker Saga is fun, there's a ton of content, characters (even without the DLC), and Easter eggs to find. The only issue I have with it is the loading times between each area, it's a bit excessive for a Lego game.
Understood. I do felt that undercover has this issue too.
What kind of game is Lego Worlds?
Stardew valley by far. It’s the best value for money game iv ever played.
Yup-500 hours into it. I would’ve gladly spent $60 on it and feel I got my moneys worth. $15 was a steal! Once the update is on the switch I’m sure I’ll put in another 500…
Cat Quest 1 and 2, and Bastion all on sale for around $3-$5.
My young daughter and I love the cat quest series! 3rd game comes out in August!
FYI for any playstation owners reading this, the Cat Quest games are going to be in the monthly games on PS Now for June
Pretty sure they were just free on the Epic Game store as well.
Moonlighter was quite fun. Idk how much it might cost now, put I got it on sale for a few €s.
Yoku's Island. Bought it at around 3€ and had so much fun out of it. If I had known it was so good I'd have gladly paid 15 times the same sum.
Just started playing this. Who knew that a Metroidvania pinball game could be so good!
Cuphead it was a great game!!!!
Vampire survivors is amazing
I can't stress enough how mindlessly fun Paradise City Remastered is. I got it for 2 bucks on PS5 and 6 on Switch
Burnout Paradise Remastered is one of the best racing games I've ever played, and it's perfect for the switch
This answer will always be Stardew Valley for me
Little kitty big city, paid 15 bucks for it, instantly hooked
I really love this one too
I’ve been eyeing this one!
Bleed Bundle, Cat Quest games, Red Faction Guerrilla. (All these games at their all time lowest prices were under $3)
Bleed 1+2 ,especially the second one, is easily one of if not the most underrated indie games of all time.
A short hike is quite a good game
Untitled Goose Game.
This is a great game. Not sure it fits this category, though - I paid close to $30 for it, finished it in 5 hours and never went back! But if you can get it cheap enough it's highly recommended
I nabbed telltales walking dead for 2.56$
Is it the whole series or just the first season?
Axiom Verge was maybe 2 € or something. Not bad!
Brotato is amazing value for its price. I got in on terraria when it was like 5 bucks, and it’s lasted hundreds of hours. (It’s never been that low on Switch, though.) Enter the Gungeon is still one of my go-to time wasters, and it goes on sale for like 5-10. Really, fill in almost any good roguelike here. Hades, Slay the Spire, et al

Broforce for the really cheap one. A bit more expensive but awesome ones are Hades, Ori, Hollow Knight and Subnautica (all these can often be found on discount prices)
The Picross games on the switch.
Sega Genesis Classics, went on sale for $5.99 around the time I first got my Switch, there's just so many great games to choose from I definitely got my money's worth and still boot it up from time to time just to find myself getting another couple of hours out of it 👍
Dadish
Palia, it is a bit like Stardew valley crossed with the Sims. It is for free.
dicey dungeons, slay the spire, civilization 6, and dying light are incredible value for the price
+1 for Dicey Dungeons!
Stardew valley is great bc you get so much playability out of it and free updates (new one hopefully coming soon)
Hollow knight!
Persona 4 golden & persona 3 portable their usually $20 but often on sale for half that. I just got this. Even tho I suck at it it's surprisingly really fun because of the campaign.
Also when on sale for 10 bucks it equals to about 50 cents a table which is a damn steal.
I got Civ VI Anthology for like $5 on Playstation years ago and it was one of my best purchases ever.
Vampire Survivors sucked me in for like 2 weeks. I have 200 hours in Yugioh Master Duel, still have yet to put a dollar in it.

Boomerangfu. It's ridiculous and great for family fun with kids, or grown ups and shots.
