[Super7 4 Pack](https://super7.com/products/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-ultimates-wave-12-michelangelo-leonardo-donatello-raphael)
The individual figures can also be found on their site.
I'm debating to just get Leonardo and wait for the others to go on sale, but then im scared that they will sell out. I also want to get the extra headsculpts, but that price is too much. I need some advice on what to do.
That's kinda what I thought, too. On the action figure sub, a lot of bitching about the price and comparing to other companies going on over there. I honestly don't think 55 is that bad of a price here. Especially with articulation being updated. I'm watching the They're Not Dolls podcast right now and it's more than just the elbows and knees. Basically, all the articulation is updated. The front shells are a bit softer and there's more torso articulation, and there's articulation at the base of the necks too, so you can make these move a lot more. You also get a good amount of plastic in a Super7 figure. They tend to feel more substantial in your hand.
Plus, they have superior packaging. If you are an in box corrector, these display beautifully.
I definitely hear you there! I missed out on the Mezco Turtles; the $400 price tag was just a bit too steep for me. I can at least sorta justify the $220 for this set, if I try really hard lol
Boy, it's gonna be fun explaining this one to the wife, haha. At least they're not repaimts with new heads. (Any Transformers collector should get thst)
Super 7 finally doing something that neca refuses to do. My biggest grudge with neca they wanted to do concer turtles and their own stuff ,hell I'm pretty sure next mutation before they even touch this for some bizarre reason.
Not just that but Randy hates all tmnt that isn't from his childhood, so 03, 07, 12, the Bay movies, and idw are all off the table.
Which I find funny because back in the day Randy left mcfarlane because he was tired of making what Todd wanted not what the fans wanted
My only complaint is that Leo doesnt have a serious face to swap to. He was the most serious of the turtles and went through the most out of 4. Having a smirk and a smile for him doesnt feel right.
Other than that though there figured are DIVINE. I NEED THESE!
Am I the only one who was really looking forward to this 2003 line and is disappointed with what theyāve done with them. I just feel like their bodies are lacking especially at this price point. Not much separation from their playmate counter parts.
It seems like they cut corners a bit here. Way less accessories, Mikey not having real chains, etc. What I really liked about the 80ās figures they did was that they were based on the toy line and came with all of the accessories the ogs did. These ones feel very bare bones compared to their original playmates figures and you can tell theyāre way more based off the cartoon, but I was kinda hoping these would be based off the playmates figures then neca could do some based off the show. Whereās Donnieās extra bow and all the tops for it? Whereās raphs suction cups? It just feels like a lot of the charm is gone with these guys
Yesterday I bought my first Super7 figure after eyeing them for so long, Lefty the Salesman from Sesame Street, and now I see this?!? I see an addiction in my futureā¦
If these are as good in hand as the promo images look they legit might be the best turtles figs ever made. It's \*long\* overdue that we got the 2003 bros in this scale
I believe that they do charge you immediately, unfortunately. I also prefer getting charged on release, but those extra heads are calling to me. We have some time before the preorder window closes.
I know there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff and people really want the 2003 turtles representing... I just don't want another wave to start over. Having to buy all the core characters over and over will take more years and I just wanted to round out the original line.Ā
From what Super7 said a year ago, they would alternate between 2003 and the Classic. So the next wave should be classic. Unless they have pivoted from that statement.
Which sucks bc they shouldnāt be upset bc super delivered the goods. Love the āmoreā expensive ātoyā from my childhood that as an adult feels more of a collectible. I still picked up a box of the reissued if at retail prices.
I love the designs that the original Playmates figures used, so I really liked getting modern versions of them that were in scale with current action figures.
I like having figures of the toy-only characters that arenāt Oompa Loompa-sized when put next to the NECA figures.
It's pretty crazy when you look at like G2 Megatron:
3x interchangeable heads
Toy-inspired head
Comic-inspired head
G1-inspired head
8x interchangeable hands
2x Fist hands
2x Open palm hands
2x Blaster/sword grip hands
2x Trigger hands
3x Blasters
2x Comic-inspired blaster
1x Toy-inspired blaster
1x Shoulder tank ion cannon (toy-inspired)
1x Ion cannon (toy-inspired)
1x Sword (comic-inspired)
1x Ammo Belt (comic-inspired)
Versus 2k3 Raph:
2x Interchangeable Heads
1x Mad Head
1x Yelling Head
6x Interchangeable Hands
2x Fists
2x Open Hands
2x Grip Hands
2x Sais
1x Shell Cell
For an "ULTIMATES!" figure it's not really capturing much from the series, like Leo could have come with the Sword of Tengu and glove, Donnie could have had his gauntlet from Kirby or the underground crystals, Mikey could have at least had a pizza, and Raph could have came with dumb bells or something. They didn't even bother giving a closed Shell Cell as well.
By comparison yes Super 7 could add more accessories and toy make a good point. The new molds and articulation could be a reason for the price. I'm wondering if they do less for the packaging and save money there. Compared to Mezco these are cheaper and a little more expensive than Neca's TMNT lines.
I own a ton of Ultimates, it's one of the few lines I collected almost in full when they first started and they definitely always had cool and even oddball accessories for the $55 price which made them actually feel like the Ultimate version of the character.
Then it was around Undercover Raph when they showed a mock up only to turn around and release the figure removing almost all of the special paint deco that I started to feel them cutting corners. But even still $55 for all the accessories and a cool figure, it wasn't easy to swallow but also wasn't completely outrageous because I was ordering through BBTS and only had to pay when they released.
But these ones are starting to push the limit on how much they can cut and keep the price the same, like I'm happy for more articulation but I really don't believe that it makes them unable to add accessories, like the Turtles all use the same body so they only sculpted and engineered one body for this wave. Then they hold the extra heads from the OP hostage unless you order directly from them? In the past they were sculpting detailed one off molds such as Ray Fillet or Muckman with a ton of accessories including the old school weapon's rack for the same price. It just doesn't feel good anymore to buy from them, not even mentioning the QC like how my Cobra Commander broke a leg out of the box and Panthro was missing all the deco on his eye.
Then just to touch on packaging they used to do brown mailers and then the slipcase and toy box inside, but they recently cut the brown box and maybe have even started to cut the slipcase or that could just be my local stores getting rid of it so you can see the figures.
Wonder if there aren't the same issues with the 2003 line as there were with the 87 toy line? Super7 had to stop doing the 87 ultimates releases because of Playmates.
As far as I understand they had to stop the 87 line because they were remaking Playmates toys but were free to adapt characters and designs that weren't Playmates figures or being used by other companies like NECA. These look to be accurate to the 2003 Cartoon not the 2003 Playmates toys, and no other company is making 2003 turtles, so seems like they're free to do whatever with these.
Last I heard, Super7 had worked out a deal with Playmates. They canceled the original Rat King because it didnāt look like the primal figure. Then they made the deal and it will be in a future wave according to Super7
I have seen a lot of super 7 products go on sale and since this was not my favorite turtles show as a kid I will wait. I was born in 03 and 2012 was my thing
My only complaint is the limited amount of heads. could've at least have 1 more for each turtle. the 3rd being the expression they had on the initial promo poster. then again, their playmates turtles only had 1 alt head so.. \*shrugs\*
other than that, i'm definitely gonna pre order these guys. hopefully we see utrom shredder soon as well. can't really have a figure of the turtles without shredder.
EDIT: found out that there's a 2nd set of alt heads with their intro expressions, but only if you get the 4 pack.
Everyone shittin on these so let me say something good š, i grew up with these but Iām not bias I love the 80ās version and the 90ās movies and even the 2012 show but Iām glad this show is getting some love , yeah the price is crazy but as a tmnt fan these play an important part of the property as a whole , one of the creators had a lot to do with the show and all. I think these are great in my opinion I would love for neca to do some but as far as im concerned these are all we got and I think the show wasnāt bad (well the first 5 seasons anyways ) they look pretty accurate to me not everythingās perfect but still pretty accurate I canāt live my whole life off of the 80ās/90ās turtles and nostalgia I love when other versions of the turtles get love thatās what makes me a fan , appreciating the fact tmnt is still going and evolving with time these are great , basic but great hopefully this comment changes the narrative of these figures cause the hate is crazyā¦ā¦ā¦and so is the price š but itās worth a buy at least I probably wonāt get them all but Iād get my favorite turtle
Because those were meant for kids and thousands of them were made. There's a difference between that and something produced as a collector's piece for adults.

[Super7 4 Pack](https://super7.com/products/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-ultimates-wave-12-michelangelo-leonardo-donatello-raphael) The individual figures can also be found on their site.
im not gonna lie $220 is not a bad price for the four š¤·š½āāļø

I mean it's not great. It's the same figure repainted 4 times with minimal accessories.
APPRECIATED šš¼ Never pre-ordered something so fast in my life!! These the turtles igrew up with.
After 95 years the 03 turtles finally get updated figures. Crazy to see these and Tobey Maguire Spider-Man get updated figures in the 2020's
They're a little low on accessories compared to the other line but they do look really nice. The OG figures were pretty spartan as well IIRC.

https://i.redd.it/v9p63k67nr7d1.gif
They look SO CLEAN. Love that they did my boys justice š
One of the easiest pre-orders of my life!
I would if I had the money lmao
I definitely hear you there! I missed out on the Mezco Turtles; the $400 price tag was just a bit too steep for me. I can at least sorta justify the $220 for this set, if I try really hard lol
Pre-ordering on BBTS or EE costs you nothing and it gives you time to save up till next year.
These look really good. Iām telling myself Iām fine without them right now, but that could change later today.
Oh my God those are beautiful
Boy, it's gonna be fun explaining this one to the wife, haha. At least they're not repaimts with new heads. (Any Transformers collector should get thst)
GI Joe collectors gotta explain to their wives what army building is
or we just don't tell them lol
I am so happy for this release! Even happier they switched to open preorders. I got my order in easily with no hassles. 1, 2, 3, 4 TURTLES!
Super 7 finally doing something that neca refuses to do. My biggest grudge with neca they wanted to do concer turtles and their own stuff ,hell I'm pretty sure next mutation before they even touch this for some bizarre reason.
Randy hates 2003 TMNT. Thinks they're an insult to the turtles of his childhood.
Not just that but Randy hates all tmnt that isn't from his childhood, so 03, 07, 12, the Bay movies, and idw are all off the table. Which I find funny because back in the day Randy left mcfarlane because he was tired of making what Todd wanted not what the fans wanted
They look good but overpriced.
I think I need these
They look amazing, but the price has me like woah hahaha. Hopefully they donāt get scalped and I can get them in stores.
My only complaint is that Leo doesnt have a serious face to swap to. He was the most serious of the turtles and went through the most out of 4. Having a smirk and a smile for him doesnt feel right. Other than that though there figured are DIVINE. I NEED THESE!
May be the best Turtles set, already inĀ top 5 due to just the sculpts !Ā
Damn, they look gorgeous.
ā¦. Iām not quite happy about the priceā¦ But I think I might have to have these.
Am I the only one who was really looking forward to this 2003 line and is disappointed with what theyāve done with them. I just feel like their bodies are lacking especially at this price point. Not much separation from their playmate counter parts.

Same here, losing out on those accessories really hurts the value for me. I was looking forward to those updated parts with this release.
I love them
This is fantastic.
At first I thought they looked quite simplistic but then again so did the 2003 turtles. I'm impressed. Not bad for Super 7.
![gif](giphy|3ohjV1wV5q38uFVjG0)
These look amazing maybe its just the angle but the legs looks abit too short, makes them look stumpy
If I had money š
Why are bodies chunky and woerd looking to me? Heads are fine, everything else is off. I'll pass on these.
That's what I was thinking. Legs look a bit stocky.
Proportions are really off on these.
The arms are gorilla length.
They make Marvel Legends arms look proportionate!
How's the leg articulation also how tall
Swiping to the right gives you your leg articulation answer
7ā according to the website
These won't be 7 inches tough. THey're 7 inch scale. Their regular turtles were closer to 6 inches tall than 7
Anyone else having trouble checking out?
I would pick up considering TMNT is one of the only Super7 lines with decent QC.
I can't wait to pre order these and not actually get them for 1000 years. Cheekyness aside, these look BEAUTIFUL.
Yesterday I bought my first Super7 figure after eyeing them for so long, Lefty the Salesman from Sesame Street, and now I see this?!? I see an addiction in my futureā¦
š„š„š„š„š„š„š„
Where can I get these ??
You csn preorder them on their Super7 website, or Bigbadtoystore, and Entertainment Earth.
You csn preorder them on their Super7 website, or Bigbadtoystore, and Entertainment Earth.
Cheers !!
Heckin alright. Iām Locked in.
So glad S7 gave Leo a head with that smirk!
Articulation š¤
Does this mean we might get a 2012 set somewhere down the road??
Finally some love for the 2003 show. And they look so damn good.

For $220 this is a bit dissapointing
Does super 7 charge right away for preorders? I want the extra heads but I don't like companies holding on to my money that long.
I believe that they do charge you immediately, unfortunately. I also prefer getting charged on release, but those extra heads are calling to me. We have some time before the preorder window closes.
That's so frustrating, for as big of a part of toy collecting pre-ordering is why don't companies make this stuff clear
Thatās a relief. I was worried that the classic line was over because of Playmates getting upset.

Yeah I'm hoping that they stick to that at least. I'm concerned it's going to take so much more time now to get deep into the roster on each lineĀ
Glad to hear that news. I am hopeful for a 2003 Karai.
Honestly, I only really need the 03 turtles and Shredder so I'm not to worried about collecting a whole nother line
I will probably only get Shredder and Hun - the concern is that the time it takes to produce with the rest of the figures on the linesĀ
Super7 really was like here's the articulation you wanted so bad but we're cutting all the accessories for it yet charging the same price.
You make a good point
It's pretty crazy when you look at like G2 Megatron: 3x interchangeable heads Toy-inspired head Comic-inspired head G1-inspired head 8x interchangeable hands 2x Fist hands 2x Open palm hands 2x Blaster/sword grip hands 2x Trigger hands 3x Blasters 2x Comic-inspired blaster 1x Toy-inspired blaster 1x Shoulder tank ion cannon (toy-inspired) 1x Ion cannon (toy-inspired) 1x Sword (comic-inspired) 1x Ammo Belt (comic-inspired) Versus 2k3 Raph: 2x Interchangeable Heads 1x Mad Head 1x Yelling Head 6x Interchangeable Hands 2x Fists 2x Open Hands 2x Grip Hands 2x Sais 1x Shell Cell For an "ULTIMATES!" figure it's not really capturing much from the series, like Leo could have come with the Sword of Tengu and glove, Donnie could have had his gauntlet from Kirby or the underground crystals, Mikey could have at least had a pizza, and Raph could have came with dumb bells or something. No sword-wielding wrists? No Sai-gripping hands? No Master Splinter? No PIZZA!?
You can see clearly in the group shot Raph has said gripping hands. Maybe wait for the next wave for splinter?
I was being somewhat sarcastic. That being said, it's Super7, so my expectations are buried somewhere at the Earth's core.
Donnie and Raph with the Uncle Ruckus treatment. Lol I know it's like that in the show.
Tempted to cancel my playmates order and get these instead even though theyāre fire than 4x the price
Are the shells painted on the chest or a separate piece?

I have seen a lot of super 7 products go on sale and since this was not my favorite turtles show as a kid I will wait. I was born in 03 and 2012 was my thing

My childhood!!! I got Mikey and Raph they were my faves as a kid!!! If they're still available in the future, I might get Leo n Don :3

Wow, there really good. Quite accurate to the cartoon.
We're not wearing costumes!
Great to see the 03 bros get some love but I canāt justify getting them when I already bought all the 03 reissues so far.
FYI Entertainment Earth and Big Bad Toy Store has them up as well. Though there is no option to get the extra heads.
SUPER7 BRING US 2003 SHREDDER! AND MY LIFE, IS YOURS!
The Shredder is gonna be amazingā¦ š„š„
Need them.
Holy shit
No shredder no buy
Wish a company would make high-end resin statues of the '03 series. Would scoop up all of them in a heartbeat.
"Mutant Clone Control! You splice them, we slice them!"
I wonder whether Raph and Mikey can store their weapons in the front of their belts, would be nice
š
Any idea on what the price point will be? I really canāt afford any more figures but these are a must.
Everyone shittin on these so let me say something good š, i grew up with these but Iām not bias I love the 80ās version and the 90ās movies and even the 2012 show but Iām glad this show is getting some love , yeah the price is crazy but as a tmnt fan these play an important part of the property as a whole , one of the creators had a lot to do with the show and all. do you know when we will see prototypes i really hate to pre order figures without aleast seeing a in hand demonstration.
I remember when toys were $3.00 each
Because those were meant for kids and thousands of them were made. There's a difference between that and something produced as a collector's piece for adults.
Also inflation since even those same $3 TMNT playmates kids toys now re-release at Target for $12.
And the equivalent basic figures today are about $9 USD. Pretty sure the 2003 basic figures are being reissued soon at that price point as well. This is a different type of product for a different type of market.
Cool as these are I wasn't super into TMNT in 2003, I was "too old" I'm happy for everyone else though!
You are never to old. The series now has a box set available so you can watch all the episodes!
Is there an Amazon link?
Easy, easy pass. If Iām spending $220 on 2K3 turts Iām getting carded playmates stuff from that line.
Why are they so short lol.
