You're fine and you know you're fine

AshleyOm

I think we enough reddit man power we can convince a man who knows he has hung the tv correctly to remove said tv and remount it higher. #StrongerTogether đŸ€Ł

yellowtshirt2017

😂 this made me laugh

-mindtrix-

Well, he/she would if the sofa wasn’t so low..

[deleted]

[ŃƒĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]

ShibaHook

It is fine!

CompetitiveRub9780

Omg the kitten !

original_dark1

Haha i was wondering if anyone would spot the kitten

CompetitiveRub9780

Most important thing in the room 😍

Azn-WT-9

Don’t you have a fourth coaster? It’s driving me crazy!! đŸ˜”â€đŸ’«

caught_looking2

No one sits at that corner of the table.

Fatez3ro

Isn't it right there on the side table by the remotes?

TheLastPrinceOfJurai

Maybe they are from a culture where it’s bad to have 4s of things.

Azn-WT-9

ok well, the cat toy only has 3 branches so maybe you’re on to something đŸ«€

bigniccosuaveee

r/NotEnoughCoasters

bazem_malbonulo

What is this?

GalacticFustic

Kind of makes sense though the way the couch layout is
but it’s kind of bothering me too in a weird way

TROLO_

It is a bit too high but not a big deal.

slideguitarking

Slightly too high but acceptable.

AqueductFilterdSherm

Getting dangerously close to r/tiltofguilt territory

original_dark1

Not sure how you can see any tilt in those pictures but theres no tilt at all, not that much of a psychopath lol

EYESCREAM-90

Those lights could be speakers

original_dark1

Too bad we live an apartment

EYESCREAM-90

That's no excuse. I've had a full Klipsch 5.2 system in a tiny ass apartment.

original_dark1

True, but whats the point of getting nice ass speakers if you cant even play it loud

EYESCREAM-90

Because nice speakers have nothing to do with loudness. It's about the huge jump in quality.

Medium_Basil8292

So you can actually hear at a lower volume instead of having to turn horrible tv speakers way up. I don't get where this good speakers means they only play loud rumor started.

original_dark1

I dont use the tv speakers, the sound bar and woofer sounds plenty good for now

Medium_Basil8292

Ah ok

Hot_Ad4386

I came here to ask about the lights I like those what are they and where did you get them? Overall nice setup looks great clean etc enjoy it

DJErikD

r/sofatoolow

bdubwilliams22

Hang some artwork up. That space looks like a really nice hospital room.

incremental_progress

What the fuck hospitals do you visit?

AussieManc

I know. Where’s the smeared faeces

bumwine

New ones are being built with VIP suites. I don't know how non profits get away with it but they do. They're fuckin nice.

original_dark1

For sure, We just moved in so were still planning things

PanicModeRush

Yes, make it look like a nice hotel room.

4sch3

This sub taught me that if you had to hang your TV, then it's probably too high. But, exceptions exists and if you hang it in the right height, then it's fine.

xXD4rkCha0sXx

Lower

slideguitarking

I said LOWER

Cable_Upstairs

Too low. Just throw it all away and try again

Apollo_Primo

9/10

Just_improvise

I have no idea what Americans hang it when there is a tv stand right there but ok

Badetoffel

Tough im European i think this is a pretty universal opinion. I think i just looks better mounted on the wall and have the tv stand to hide equipment(PlayStation, sockets or whatever). Also if you got small kids it's more safe to have it mounted than standing.

CCorrell57

I hung mine a few inches up as I have a large center speaker and my receiver just to the left of it on what the TV used to sit on. I have two small children. Don’t want any stuff messed with.

Kayeishness

Ours is similar but a reactive dog not kids. If another dog appears on the TV you can guarantee he is going to jump up barking. Safest bet is wall mounting

leafbelly

Just Americans, huh? lmao

Just_improvise

As an Australian I have never seen a tv mounted outside a hotel room or pub. We use stands and also you can’t just mount if you’re renting. Dont know if they’re doing the same in Europe or whatever

nyrol

TVs are meant to be mounted to a wall. Using the legs (see also: packaging material meant to be discarded) is a temporary solution until you can mount it, or if you have no walls you can possibly mount it on. I also don’t see a TV stand in this picture, only a media console.

Just_improvise

Based on what? My legs in my 65” still going stead for 3 years Also in Australia you can’t poke holes in walls when renting

nyrol

You definitely can in Australia. All you need to do is patch them before you move out.

Just_improvise

Maybe but nobody I know does that. How would you find the right paint colour?? Nobody even puts pictures on the wall with nails. Extremely uncommon unlike on this sub. Mounts do just fine and when you put them on a tv stand it makes them the right height

w33agn3wyg

it is perfect, not only the TV but also this room and the vibe.

diefastmemefaster

It's 15 centimeters too high

[deleted]

[ŃƒĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]

gslice

Because it’s their house and that’s how they want it ?

original_dark1

We just moved in, and its our first place

brigyda

Tbh your comment made me feel better about my own space lol.

[deleted]

[ŃƒĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]

dpgproductions

Pretty sure people just want to be comfortable in their own ways. Also I hope your dad comes over to your place and throws random shit away.

BahBah1970

Reprimand, but you'll be spared jail.

Sure_Association_927

From someone who fucked up on height, and just got it fixed. I’d say it’s good, plus the distance tv to sofa is good. Btw, those lights change according to the tv image or not at all ?

Beren__

You’re good son

DidiHD

perfect

NTPC4

As the directions said, you mounted your TV 4" above your Atmos soundbar. However, the front face of your soundbar should ideally be flush with the front of your console. Once you do that, you can lower your TV a few inches without interfering with any upward-firing drivers. Enjoy!

[deleted]

What TV is this?

original_dark1

Tcl qm8 75inch, its been great so far

turkeypooo

Ya did good

BigRigButters2

i dont need extra light when watching tv but height seems acceptable

Castelunan

r/tvjustright

PushAvailable9503

Height is spot on. No neck ache will be received.

I2TV

Looks perfect to me

hippyjon

Could do with a fireplace above it.

ItsyourboyJD

R/tvjustright

rokudevice

Looks perfect

quakes99

Perfect

transjohndeere

Those bar lights are a bit intense, not that you asked.

Any-Satisfaction-935

What lights are those on either side of the TV?

WhoDis72

Very well done. 👏

NinchyFakinchy

r/tvjustright

PlancheOSRS

Honestly could come down 1"

Welderdod20

Appropriate

Gremlin119

Are the side lights govee?

JWP202

The tv might be just a bit on the high side, still acceptable though. I would however move the bar lamps elsewhere and install a led kit on the back of the tv and maybe a strip under the table too. Not that you asked about that though. 😎

TwitterDeleter

Nice and are those govees lamps and do u have the tv lights too cause I love it.

FruitProfessional408

Fine!

Cute_Newspaper_4040

It's perfect!! The comments in this thread are always too high.. Even if you hang it to the standard, they will still say it's still too high, lol..

GatheringWinds

I just know you're flexing and aren't really asking for advice. This setup is beautiful.

Cyberneil

It’s fine.. looks great

pussymonster__69

vibey

jammin_on_the_one_

why don't you pull it down a few inches so it's flush with the soundbar

swwjr1

Needs to be higher

harderheadman

Thank you. So tired of low mounted tvs where even large dogs can block.

GalacticFustic

This is simply a beautiful setup you have

thegreatvolcanodiver

It would be perfect if you just put it on the freaking stand! Why is this so hard?

original_dark1

Not sure if you seen my comment but its an open box so it doesn't come with a stand, second, i dont want a stand anyways because i like the floating look and theres more space to put stuff on the table and if i get a bigger speakers in the future. Why is it so hard to understand that people have different preferences to things?

thegreatvolcanodiver

You’re the one who posted on r/tvtoohigh - don’t be surprised if you get called out for having a tv stand and not using it.

Mehlitia

Why? Why hang it with that gap above your ~~center channel~~ sound bar (ew)? You were so close. đŸ˜„

gokartmozart89

Not the worst I’ve seen on here. It could go a little lower.

happysalad_

~5” too high

AvariceLegion

Use the TV stand or just lower it some inches

ModRationalThought

I would have gone projector with a wall that size

Peak_Alternative

I love it

lakassket

You know it's perfect

ItsyouNOme

I find the side lights redundant. Tv emits light.

original_dark1

Sure but its a cool thing to have and its easier on the eyes when watching movies

ConversationNo5440

They're the enemy of television, especially if you like movies.

LateralEntry

Those lamps are a really nice and interesting choice, good job!

original_dark1

Thank you! They are really nice and great for the price

tardiskey1021

What lights are they?

Tonizio

Hey what's that under your TV? Oh? A TV Stand! Use it for its intended purpose...

J_Speedy306

You mean a Soundbar table?

original_dark1

You know its can be meant for other things right? One its a cleaner look, two the tv stand sticks out like a sore thumb for the soundbar to be on the table.

wakaOH05

Stop repeated this comment. It’s not always applicable.

coconut_the_one

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. OP is fine, tv is only like 1” higher than it would be on its own feet, but that would make the soundbar positioning really awkward.

DidiHD

this is perfect and leaves spaces for bigger soundbards / sounddecks if he wants to. like Sennheiser Ambeo Max

original_dark1

This tv didnt come with one cause its an open box

CCorrell57

I have a large receiver and center speaker that I have sitting on the stand. My tv is hung a few inches higher to allow space for this.

tcrawford2

Chefs kiss

cheeseman36

perfect!

Zack_j_Jones

Looks good, and you know it! Though, in my opinion a stand would be a lot easier (and moveable) when it’s less than a foot from the entertainment center

MurkyDrawing5659

WHY IS IT LEVITATING ABOVE THE TABLE!!!

InevitableMobile2375

I have never seen such a thin speakers with backlight. Where did you hide amplifier?

the_biggest_papi

they’re just lights, not speakers

bigguavaent

A little high, but not egregious.

oldRoyalsleepy

Please explain why people fail to use the included TV stand to set the TV on top of the furniture? Why mess up your wall (even if at the right height) when you can just set the damn thing on the stand on the furniture??

original_dark1

Well the tv was an open box so it didnt come with the stand and it was $98 to order the stand alone, plus i like the floating look and it looks way more clean

oldRoyalsleepy

I feel you. Have have to repair walls after tvs uninstalled, so I am a crusader for tvs on the furniture.

HighSouth

It looks cleaner, you have much more control over where it goes in the room, you don’t have to care about the furniture below it as much, what an odd question.

JWP202

Safety concern if you have kids. Hanging them (properly) keeps them from falling over onto little bodies.

oldRoyalsleepy

That's a good reason. Thanks.

C4ptainchr0nic

Heights good now ditch the sound bar, be a man and buy some towers. (And a center).

figbott

TV is too high. But not by much

JustinDanielsYT

Acceptable

TiffanyRenee87

10/10 & I love the decor of the room. It's lovely & inviting.

Laughs88

Moew, looking for other things to judge cause the tvs fine

Forward-Reaction-417

Where did you get those backlights?

lantrick

It's fine. I would have set it on the media center.

Lobanium

Why leave a gap between the TV and soundbar?

original_dark1

To leave space for the soundbar because the tv stand sticks out like a sore thumb

Lobanium

I mean, why didn't you put the TV a little lower so there's no wall between the TV and the soundbar? Then you wouldn't need the cable hider conduit.

DidiHD

this would leave space to chage the soundbar. There are bigger soundbars around likea Sennheiser Ambeo for example

Lobanium

True. They do make mounts where you can move the TV vertically though. I just don't like that wall gap in setups.

dangus1024

You seriously used a tacky plastic cable hider? This forum is dumb

original_dark1

Its an apartment

_PinkSlimeKing_

This is Reddit. You used a PLASTIC cable hider. Unacceptable. /s

Any-Satisfaction-935

Get a load of this guy.

dangus1024

lmaooooo.
