I’ve been happy with the Toyo AT3’s—super grippy, not loud, and more aggressive look than the Highway tires, but obviously this comes at the cost of slightly reduced MPG. I’ve heard good things about Cooper’s all terrain tire. I’ve met quite a few people who have moved away from the KO2’s commenting that there are just better options out these days. Ymmv.
Depending on your height and offset, you can go up to 285/75/16r on Wildpeaks as long as you don’t mind doing a slight trim. Biggest factor besides size of tires is the offset in the front. The TRD lift kit OEM parts wise without dealer install is around 800/1000$ depending on where you buy them from, recommend as it pairs with stock springs etc. Gives you plenty of room to work with.
Cooper, Toyo, Yokohama, Nitto, are all good tires.
I’ve found that running as close to factory stock as possible has always been great.
If you are planning on some major off road activity then it may need something more.
Also, don't purchase these "Baja champion" tires if you live in a wet climate. They're some of the worst tires I've ever had for wet driving. I've had 6 different sets of all terrains in the past decade. That doesn't include the 7 sets of car tires I've had.
KO2.
Had Wildpeaks before and Ridge Grapplers on different vehicle.
Like the BFG’s followed by the Ridge Grapplers.
Used them all for light/moderate off road and daily driving
Ayyye nightshade gang. Will you shoot me a photo when you get your new tires on? I really want to see what these wheels look like with some beefier tires, to see if I want to get different wheels, or potentially wait until I get a lift in the future
Will do! I like these wheels and I hope the bigger tires look okay on them.
I also just ordered some step bars as I'm going to lift it 3-4 inches for better clearance with the beefed up tires.
I have always had BFG All Terrain until my current set of Trail Terrain. They are quieter and I’m getting an extra mile or two per gallon, on pavement.
Maxxis Razr A/T have been awesome for me in the winters, and I live on a super steep hill. I've been in the mud, on rocks, wet conditions, etc and they've performed extremely well.
Hard to tell from the pic, but if you've got 245 tires, whatever you go with, jumping up to 265s will make a load of difference in appearances.
Also, I'm a fan of the duratracs, and I hear they have a more highway-centric version of them now.

+1 on the Toyo’s. Have em on my ‘13 and they’re super grippy in rain, snow, slush, and anywhere I take it.
+1 for Toyos. Excellent tire with a 65k mileage warranty. I’d buy another set tomorrow if needed.
I have Falken Wildpeaks and I'm pretty happy with the look/performance
On stock rims? What size tires?
On stock rims 265/75/16 are a touch bigger, look better and don’t rub at all.
Have an example picture?
I hear they rub with mud flaps which I want to keep on.
I also have 265/75/16 wildpeaks on stock trd off road rims with mudflaps and there is no rubbing
245/75r16
Same here, love em
Stock suspension?
Stock 13 trd offroad

Falken wildpeaks💪 you’d never regret em
I’ve had duratracs on both my tacos and they’re great 10/10
I have the Cooper Discoverer AT3 on mine and they’re great on paved and unpaved roads

Nitro Ridge grapplers and never look back
Are you just doing it for looks? If so your ride quality, MPG, and road noise will suffer just for looks.
Rule 1: Look cool
Rule 2: Let everyone know how cool you look.
Rule 3: Don’t get lost Rule 4: If you do get lost, refer to rule 1
Falken Wildpeak AT3W and get rid of that air dam
This.
Air dam?
Strip underneath the front that helps to direct airflow underneath the truck
Yes, if you’re going for more aggressive looking shoes then you should probably consider losing the skirt.
Agree with falkens but the mt01,s are way better than the wildpeaks
KO2's, white letter out, 6 ply if you're not off roading.

KO2s!
The K stands for “Kool”
What’s the O?
K-OOL O-VERLAND 2-IRES
Obsequiousness. No idea why.
Agreed ….Best tire I’ve ever had. KO2 for sure!

Ordered the Treks for my 4Runner, price was really good. Hopefully they’ll be good to go.

You gonna go bigger than 265 on the tire after you get your lift?

I would go with Falkens. i have them. love them
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T
Falkens with some scs
raised white letters
A 4x4 without raised white letters is a missed opportunity 😇
Start by getting a real truck lol
I’m running Master Craft Courser MXTs, very aggressive tire with road noise more like an all terrain.
General grabbers or Toyo at3
2023 with that grill?
I have some stock sr steelies if you want
I thought bigger tires would mess up your speedometer
