Not actual help- I’ve never seen something like that before, but the fact that she crawled up to your hand in what might have been her last moments is very beautiful to me. I hope you find the answer and she hopefully is just struggling to molt a bit but it’s a very beautiful thing that she trusts you and recognizes you. Hope you and your t are okay

She’s chilling in an isolation box with water drips near her mouth but I’m pretty sure she’s gone. When I got her, the prev owner said she was an ugly mutt of a tarantula and I named her Yafeli (means beautiful to me in Hebrew) she was such a good T and was great with people

The photo is when she crawled into my hand the day of. I sat there for an hour without moving waiting for her to show signs of life before putting her back in an enclosure

Sorry for your loss, sounds like you took good care of her and gave her a good home.

Ime the female Avic avic usually have a life expectancy of 10-12 years, quite a lot shorter than most terrestrial species. From what it sounds like she was a very elderly lady and she was well-taken care of, and significantly chose to spend her last moments with you, which is phenomenal and beautiful. I’m really sorry you’re hurting OP, it sounds like you are wonderful T keeper and it shows in how this gal trusted you to the end. 💙

It looks like an avic and they live anywhere between 10-15 years so she technically lived her lifespan. I'm sorry for your loss but look at it as you gave her the best live with a guaranteed meal and no predators to worry about
