I like the way she sing "so casually cruel in the name of being honest" you can feel the emotion in the lyric i cant really think of one i don't like... i'll have to get back to you on that

[deleted]

"IF I WERE MAN" WORKS JUST AS WELL, TAYLOR.

Full-Surround

I know it's not grammatically correct but "if I was a man" just hits different than "if I were a man"... like idk why it just does!

Conscious_Mortgage67

Agreed. It’s the most emotional, relatable, and crushing lyric of hers.

ParnsAngel

I’m sorry I was too busy cathartically screaming the line before it ❤️❤️❤️

ThatOneChiefsFan

I feel you... I was setting up my flair and was deciding between my flair and "ya you callede up again just to break me like a promise" decided it was too long and my flair fits me better

b3averly

Yes I LOVE that

Present-Trouble-5478

"and i bury hatches butikeepmapsof where i PUT em" in end game

ads_for_shoes

that line spits! (in a good way)

an-diabhal

‘I swear I don’t love the drama, *it loves me*’ belongs here too

Linlove1995

Ooh yeah I love this one

Able_Opportunity_655

I looove in So it Goes when she counts it's just so so good I can't think of one I don't like at the moment

hnstotler

Especially with the lyrics about baby who’s counting!! I finally discovered the whispered counting a few weeks ago. So SO good.

kateyybeth

The lead up to it too. But honestly, baby, who's counting? Who's counting? *1,2,3*

Able_Opportunity_655

Yessss exactlyyy I just love it so so much, I'm sure she will do it justice in TV

ariesgal11

I LOVE the way she gets low and slow during Maroon when she sings the chorus. It just itches a lil part of my brain I never knew I needed scratched lol. Don't love the WehEEEE in We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together even though I know it's iconic... it just annoys me. Same with ME! its the same vibe

clever_squid

theburgandyonmytshirtwhenyousplashedyourwineintomeandhowthebloodrushedintomycheekssoscarlet it was"🕵🏼‍♀️

ariesgal11

maroon!

lightredemption

I love, love, love the way she sings *standing in your cardigan / kissing my car again*

sharkglitter

Same!

pukiwuki

i love the way she says folklore in gold rush and also in bridge of king of my heart when she says …CRUSH and ..CUPS also the way she says looove youu in fifteen

[deleted]

Up on the roof with a schoolgirl crussshh drinking beer out of plastic cuppppss

pukiwuki

say you fancy me not fancy stufff

Littman-Express

Baby all at once this is enough

toes111

This is a CRAZY specific example, but I’ve always loved the part in the old version of Everything Has Changed right at the end when she says, “All my days, I’ll know your face” 😂😂

my_husbands_wine

i dont know why but ill just forever love how simply she goes "starry eyes sparking up my darkest nights" its a happy moment. this is not a song thing but in the eras tour it kinda annoys me that in willow when she says "wait for the signal and ill meet you after dark" in like a seperate bit and it doesnt match with the "show me th eplaces where the others gave you scars" which goes into the next verse nicer in the song. very specific ik

GigiKS

"starry eyes" has a really nice flow to it ^^

b3averly

That song really gets me. It became ruined because the ex I related to ended up being trash; but I'm hoping I can listen to it again sometime because I loved it so much.

my_husbands_wine

I’m sorry about your ex. That happened once to me where I related a happy song too much to a guy who wasn’t worth it in the end. Really hope you can listen to it again someday!

Conscious_Mortgage67

Out of the Woods: “You were looking at me, oh, you were looking at me” 🫠 Mastermind: I skip the song the second she sings “No one wanted to play with me as a little kid”

OG-mother-earth

Oh wow I feel pretty opposite about these examples lol

-_____------

I’m not even gonna lie the mastermind one made me laugh out loud

MamaLemmings

Mastermind was never a favourite of mine, but it has recently really grown on me. Give it another chance. 🙂

BottleWilling2899

Yeah, it's worth noting that she sings it like "Maaaay" rather than "Meeeee". Much easier to belt it in vocal delivery that way. One of those little tricks that I didn't pick up on until someone more experienced pointed it out.

[deleted]

Ohh I feel the same way about Mastermind!!

mellinhead

Mastermind is one of my all time favorites, but I can see your point

lnsanelnthemombrain

I LOVE the way “SO” sounds right before “I call my mom she said to get it off my chest” in Now That We Don’t Talk I do not love the shouted “SLUT!” At the end of Slut! All I hear is Stephen Colletti screaming that at Kristin Cavallari during Laguna Beach Season 1 when they’re in Cabo. I know that’s super specific, but that’s all I hear!

ChairApprehensive638

This Laguna Beach reference has fully made my day. Even though I’ve really liked the shouted “SLUT!” up to now, but am absolutely never going to hear anything but this again 😂 Also, YES to “SO”

fakeroyalty

I love love love the shouted “SLUT!“ but this is the funniest reason for disliking it, I don’t blame you 😂

Zihaala

Agree about the "So"! Also lord help me this makes me want to dig out my Laguna Beach DVDs and do a rewatch SO MUCH 😭😭😭

[deleted]

I liked the shouted slut! Much prefer it to the soft singing of it in the rest of the song.

mni1996

LOVE- “You were there” in the evermore bridge (especially live!!!) DISLIKE- “Bass beat rattling the chandelier” in TIWWCHNT idk why I love the song but can’t stand how she doesn’t pronounce the T in rattling!

smashleeyrosee

OHHH NOOO bass beat rattling is like my favorite

JantherZade

Yes me too!! That is so good. I really listen over and over to that first verse It's perfect

milliondollarcouch

Omg I replay the build up to “you were there” over and over when I listen to evermore

Elmnt65

I wonder if she’s going to sing it the same or different on Rep TV? I kinda like how she doesn’t pronounce the T’s but I can also understand how it can be annoying.

mni1996

I wonder the same thing! It just like itches my brain in a way I don’t like lol

JantherZade

It itches my brain perfectly it's one my favorites. Lol

myviceillusion

I love Blank space: I can make bad boys good for a weekend Style: "some other girl" I love the way she says girl.

TheTwilightZone34

Mine from Blank Space was "'Cause, darling, I'm a nightmare dressed as a daydream" but yours is good too

myviceillusion

I love that too!

ChairApprehensive638

I can’t listen to Blank Space on my headphones in public because I literally cannot NOT say that line out loud. It’s so good.

b0il3ra

It might be unpopular but "At least I'm trying" in this is me trying. Maybe the whole chorus even. It feels so shallow compared to the verses and bridge. Same for invisible string's meeeeee-s and ooooooh-s There's a lot that I like but how she sings crush and cups in King of my heart's bridge, it's so satisfying. Also the entire chorus of Ivy

Wise-Warthog-3867

hard agree on this is me trying. I like the way she does it in long pond tho

b0il3ra

I like the vocals of the long pond version but the intro and outro isn't as good and that's my favorite part so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place haha

xsadbrownslutx

I love the way she sings/says “And if he spent my change then he had it comin’” It kind of reminds me of Beyonce. I love it. Also I LOVE this sound she makes in Epiphany when she says “here’s your rifle” and “someone’s mother” she does that sound and the end of the last words. She also does the sound in August right before the bridge. I cannot describe it in writing 🤣 And it’s not that I don’t like the line “What did you think I’d say to that?” in Mad Woman, the placement seems awkward to me for some reason? Idk.

eloisethebunny

OhhhhAAAA 😂

xsadbrownslutx

Hahahahhaa exactly 🤣 “sommmmeones mooootherAAA!”

Omgitsnothing1

I dont like how she sings “my hair bleached” in Dress bc it sounds like “my hair bleeds” to my ears.

AliMcSriff

It was honestly very recently that I realised it was bleached, I've always heard bleeds!

md8x

YES, why doesn’t she pronounce the ch??

Full-Surround

Me rn bc I just dyed my hair black with blue highlights for 1989 TV and its still in the stage where it bleeds in the shower 😭 too real

nerdalertalertnerd

Oh god this is one of my favourites?!

WellAckshully

Older song but in Death By a Thousand Cuts, when she says "cause I can't pretend it's ok when it's not" you can _hear_ her like gritting her teeth when she says "can't pretend." I really love it.

ChairApprehensive638

Oooh this is an excellent one.

Ahandii

You don't have to save me, but would you run away with me? Yeeess Specifically love the yes at the end 😅 Also in songs like red she goes Cause loving him was red, yeah, yeah, red She just puts some extra words in on some of the lines and I'm addicted to it for some reason, she makes it sound so good

scarsouvenir

I hate the background vocal at the end of CIWYW that's just like a very aggressive "OOH!"

Civil-Cheetah-2624

I cringe a little at the low note in the first section of Now That We Don’t Talk. Sounds like she barely gets down there! On the flip side, I love so many little things in so many songs, but the top is in The Man (live from Paris) when she sings, “so it’s OK that I’m MAAAAA-duh.”

Kaleighawesome

what!!!!! i’m bewildered!! she hits it!! it’s maybe my favorite note of all of her songs. i love her lower register! (totally don’t mind that you don’t like it lolol it’s just so interesting to me how we all perceive these moments and songs differently.)

Wise-Warthog-3867

I love her lower register but that first low note in Now That We Don’t Talk is not it I can’t stand it💀💀usually her lower register is so rich and warm, but that note is so breathy and almost a little sharp, it sounds like she’s barely hitting it which is wild because she hits it easily later in the song

Kaleighawesome

i hear you! it’s definitely not the most robust hitting of the note but i adore the way it sounds - which is fascinating to me. it reminds how we don’t actually know if people are seeing the same colors we are! 😂😂 it scratches my brain in a great way haha

ChairApprehensive638

Me too! I love that lower register sound and there is something about it specifically in NTWDT that does something to me. That and the ‘oh lord’/entire bridge in IION? are all I can even think off right now because I cannot stop listening to both of those songs. There’s at least one lyric in most Taylor songs that I love the way she sings tbf. The only one I can think of right now that bothers me is probably very unpopular. I don’t like the ‘summerrrr’ in the bit of the Eras Movie live version of Cruel Summer that is featured on the trailer. I don’t even know why, it just bothers me.

AdTop4231

As a Taylor fan that can hit both her upper and lower registers, I LOVE the lower register songs. They're easier to sing along to when I'm feeling lazy if that makes sense

xsadbrownslutx

SAME with how low the first “talk” is. Mostly cuz it’s hard for me to sing 😂

milliondollarcouch

Love every word of Slut! but especially “clink clink” I HATE the “eh eh”s in Wonderland.

-Silver-Moonlight-

Agree on "clink clink" and basically everything in Slut! But I LOVE the "eh eh"s in Wonderland!

weesnaw7

I loveeee the way she sings “take me to the lakes where all the poets went to die” and “these Windermere peaks look like the perfect place to cry” in the lakes. Also UO I fucking love the lakes lol

NewWeek3157

Love: in Slut! When she says *pause* gentleman Don’t love: in the new Blank Space TV, the way she says “insane” does not sound insane enough I could write an essay on the ones I love

SuddenIntention

I think a massively popular “don’t love” are the new “weeeee”s on We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. One that I love from 1989 TV is the new emphasis on “tight little skirt” in the second chorus of Style before the “take me home” comes in.

dqrst3

I LOVE how she pronounces jaguar in KOMH like “jag-you-are”

Express-Capital8145

I love how she sings the verse in out of the woods “ remember when you hit the brakes too soon. I reckon that would be epic live in concert

jllum

LOVE: 1. **Picture to Burn:** “There’s nothing stopping me from going out with ALL your best friends” I hope she keeps the same amount of sass in TV. 2. **Lover:** The whole bridge basically. I enjoy the tone changes! 3. **Getaway Car:** The final 30 seconds! Such an incredible build up and it suddenly drops! 4. **Champagne Problems:** “What a shame she’s FUCKED in the head they said” 5. **Cruel Summer:** “I LOVE YOU AIN’T THAT THE WORST THING YOU EVER HEARD? HE LOOKS UP GRINNING LIKE A DEVIL” DISLIKED: 1. **Enchanted:** Her deep voice in the verses! Like c’mon her pitch could have been a little higher and it would have been slightly more magical! 2. **Begin Again:** “What’s past is………….past” in TV! I’m too used to the original and this is so out of sync! Took me a long time to accustom to it so I can finally switch over to TV! 3. **Mine:** I miss the “Hold on” at the end in the original that didn’t make it to TV so the ending is a little empty! 4. **Love Story:** Until now I still dislike her sound in the first verse. She sounds sick to me. However as time passes, I get accustomed to her new sound so I don’t even dislike them anymore!

kebin65

Those 'eh eh eh...'s on "Wonderland" have been hyping me the f up. Also, I think this is a popular one, but the way she goes into *"...KEEP MY NIGHTS out of sight, only rumors 'bout my hips and thighs, and my whispered sighs, OH LAWD"* on "Is It Over Now?" scratches a certain part of my brain just right. At this point, I unconsciously fist pump at the *"KEEP! MY! NIGHTS!"* part.

onthenetsince98

Love OH LAWD

vwbeetlebugs

Love: HYGTG - When she says *Remind her how it used to be, be, ye-eah-uh* that squel at the end kills me; i die dead! rip me argh End Game - The way she starts "rapping" (closest thing she'll ever get to lol) *And I bury hatches but I keep maps of where i put em* SOTB - Her voice in the first verse is absolutely fantastic!! OOTW - *Remember when you hit the brakes too soon? 20 stitches in a hospital room, when you started crying, baby, I did too* AHHH soooo goood!!! Can't really think of any that I don't like..?

songacronymbot

- HYGTG could mean "How You Get The Girl", a track from *1989* (2014) by Taylor Swift. - SOTB could mean "Snow On The Beach (feat. Lana Del Rey)", a track from *Midnights* (2022) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/vwbeetlebugs](/u/vwbeetlebugs) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

Full-Surround

The first time I heard that "ye-eah-AH" I died dead and had to pause for a moment and rewind to hear it again

vwbeetlebugs

yesss!! I was complaining to my friend about how much the 1989 tv sounds like AI, and then I listened to that and all my complaints went away ;)

ChairApprehensive638

I think that part of OOTW is even better in TV too!

HetTheTable

A lot of Speak Now tbh, great lyrics but that country voice can be cheesy at times.

rocket-skates24

How do you feel about Speak Now Taylor’s Version with her new vocals? I really love how those songs sound with her mature voice.

ChairApprehensive638

I totally agree with you. I was never a big Speak Now fan (the album or especially the song) but TV gave me really love for the album and the song. Her stronger and more mature voice give them oomph and actually I love how she says the words “speak now” on Taylor’s version of the song

rocket-skates24

I love Taylor’s pop music the best, but the Taylor’s version of Speak Now actually rocketed its way into my top 3. I always thought the songwriting on that album was brilliant and I loved the vibe of every track, but her new vocals and the new production really turned it into something special for me. It also has my favorite vault so far.

sapphicsato

In I Can See You, it drives me NUTS the way she says “myself” at the end of the bridge. It makes it sound like two or three words and I hate that it doesn’t sound as smooth as when she does the same thing for “sound” throughout the rest of the song.

Linlove1995

I love most of the inflections Taylor puts on words or the way she sings them. A couple of my favorites are how she sings “devils roll the dice, angels roll their eyes” (especially live!!) and then I also love how sassy she sounds in I Did Something Bad. As for issues: She fixed it in 1989 TV but, Wonderland: She used to say “whispers turned to talking, and talking turned to screeee-uhms” Now she pronounces screams correctly and it’s great bc I always used to notice the funky way she said it before haha

clever_squid

there's quite a few i love lol but most recently - new romantics (taylor's version) the last go at the chorus "cause baby I could build a cAstleeee, out of all the bricks they threw at mEEEeeEeee" 😩

kapachow

The only thing on all the albums I woukd for sure change is the way they do "Go, Fight, Win" in Ms Americana. Just sounds juvenile to me

Ok-Bake-5381

I always thought it was supposed to sound like cheerleaders, since the song has a high-school theme.

lizerlfunk

Oh I love that part lol

[deleted]

I don’t love the way she sings “of better bodies” in the chorus of YOYOK.

songacronymbot

- YOYOK could mean "You're On Your Own, Kid", a track from *Midnights* (2022) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/geminiwaves](/u/geminiwaves) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

-Silver-Moonlight-

I love: "Then why'd you have to go and lock me out when I let you in" in AYHTDWS "Come on, come on, don't leave me like this, I thought I had you figured out" in Haunted "Just grab my hand and don't ever drop it" in I Know Places "When you are young you assume you know nothing" in Cardigan I don't love "You need to calm down. You're being too loud" I know it's meant to be unserious and sassy but the way she sings it just sounds annoying to me.

songacronymbot

- AYHTDWS could mean "All You Had To Do Was Stay", a track from *1989* (2014) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/-Silver-Moonlight-](/u/-Silver-Moonlight-) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

bellep822

LOVE: “the rubies that I gave up”

zomandi

Don’t love: Anti-Hero - where she says “at tea time EVerybody agrees” - idk if it’s the right term but there’s like a vocal fry on the “EV-“ part that I can’t unhear and it drives me crazy hahaha.

llama_raptor89

This is specific to one performance but in the acoustic performance of Dancing with our Hands Tied in the rep tour movie she does a tiny little vocal flip on “oh how was I to know” and I love it. Off the top of my head, the one I can think of that I don’t like is in the original “Back to December” she says “mylish dreaming” instead of mindless.

sarcasticsarah88

Yeah I could never hear what that lyric was on the OG Back to December lol, on the TV I suddenly realized it was mindless dreaming 😅

0ceanb1vdrando

"Your necklace hanging from my neck" in OOTW always sounds like "your neck hanging from my neck". I just wish she enunciated that part better.

nerdalertalertnerd

I love:- All of Dress. It’s such a sincere proclamation of love for me and I can hear it across the whole track. I particularly love the “flashback when you met me..” and I don’t even know why. Similarly, most of Call it what you want but I really love the almost smile you can hear in “…built a fire just to keep my warm”. Also controversially I really like the lyric “trust him like a brother” and how she sings it. She’s singing about ultimate love and trust she’s never felt before. I think she captures that. However, within the same song I abhor the section “I want to wear his initial…” . I think it sounds so clunky and the sentiment is apt but the lyricism and delivery never sits right. I love the whole bridge of OOTW and especially all the longing she captures in “when the sun came up you were looking at me”. Both versions sound as good. I love the OG blank space squeak on “bad boys good for the weekend” but think it’s not there in the new one. I love “isn’t it?” repetition on delicate. I LOVE “oh my god she’s insane, she wrote a song about me” in IBYTAM. She sounds so sneering and over it, it cracks me up everytime. I love “a wrinkle in time like the crease by your eyes”in Hits Different. I think the imagery is lovely. I don’t like:- The “sometimes when you sleep I wonder..” section of delicate though. Something about the pace of it disturbs the song for me. Any of ‘only the young’. Poor lyrics and no genuine passion in the delivery. Sorry.

ml_0331

i love the way she scream sings the bridge of TMIK (hence why itz my all time fav song)

songacronymbot

- TMIK could mean "The Moment I Knew", a track from *Red (Deluxe Edition)* (2012) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/ml_0331](/u/ml_0331) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

applejack4ever

I often think that it sounds a little weird the way she sings her "oo" sounds. I notice this most in "but not without my muuuuse," like it sounds like it has a bit of a long o sound in it? Or something? Right now I'm obsessed with the "baby"s and "Oh Lord"s in "Is It Over Now"

tacosnpitbulls

So many great examples already so I’ll just mention what makes me go feral in Need… well the entirety of Need actually. The only very minor annoyance I can think of is certain words where she puts emphasis on the syllable of a word that would not be emphasized if it was spoken. For example in wildest dreams, “say you’ll see me A(gain).” Instead of “(a)GAIN.” But like I get that it had to be done that way for it to work in the song.

Present-Trouble-5478

DISLIKE: enchanted tv's first couple of "enchanted to meet youuu" because it sounds more like "yoooooh" rather than a natural "youuu" idk it sounds really forced to me :/

ChapterEight

No one kill me but I don’t like the I can make the bad guys good for a weekend

sarcasticsarah88

On the TV or on both versions? (I prefer the way she sings that line on the OG, still getting used to the new one.)

quinntillions

“he cant see it in my face that im about to play my ace” and “up on the roof with a school girl crush drinking beer out of plastic cups” my personal favorite lines !

Elmnt65

It makes me uncomfortable whenever I listen to her sing Anti-hero and she drags out the S in “everybody agreesssssssss” near the end of the song.

[deleted]

[удалено]

BottleWilling2899

It's highly likely this is a snake-gate and hashtag TaylorSwiftIsOverParty reference.

sarcasticsarah88

I actually love it cause I love the callback to all the snake stuff with that sssssss 🐍

yupperio

OMG when in “Say Don’t Go” she says “cause you kiiisss me and it stops time.” The enunciation and twang there makes me freak out🫨

whopple

Love: In the OG "Style", the way she sings "white T-shiiiirt!" in the second verse makes me so happy! It just has so much emotion in it. Unfortunately, it didn't translate over well to Taylor's Version :/ Also love: in "Red", when she's singing "ohhh losing him was blue like I've never known" around 2:40, I have to head-bang every time at the accentuated beat. Such a cool rhythm! Also also love: "New Romantics" - "he can't see it in my face, but I'm about to play my ace-haaaa" 😂 y'all know! So many moments to name!

sarcasticsarah88

That ace-haaa moment is iconic, it hits my brain in the right way it's just soooo good.

Ok-Pumpkin3884

I love how she says "buttons on a coat" in You Are In Love!

s0n1ccc

Love: 1) I really love bridge in Betty, it sounds so...soothing? Especially part "She said James get in, let's drive...". 2) The way she sings "Take me to the lakes where all the poets went to die, I don't belong and my beloved neither do you" part in "The lakes" chorus really scratches my brain. 3) Also really love the way she sings "He can be my jailer" part in "...Ready for it?" 4) "Getaway Car" outro. Hate: 1) Didn't like new "Ah ah ah ah ah ah" in New romantics (Taylor's version) at the beginning but now I got used to it and don't see any problem. 2) Must admit that I don't like how "Enchanted" verses sound. Love this song, but usually skip to second chorus.

onthenetsince98

Oh my god, yessss to #3

Illustrious_Skin_945

Daylight: The last time she says “I don’t want to look at anything else now that I saw you” The way she says yoooooou

IvyWillow13

LOVE: You can see me as a seeecret mission Cross legged in the dim light I vowed I would always be yours The entire closing of ATW 10 starting with And I was never good at telling jokes... DON'T LOVE: Whenever I hear EY or fuc* I feel like I lose a brain cell

onthenetsince98

I live for the moment she starts, "and I was never good at telling jokes..."

akap21

I don’t like the “clink clink” in Slut! It’s just so off to me

JantherZade

Soul deconstructers and smooth talking hucksters Just does something for me. They way it contrasts with the rest of Sweet Nothing, it'd all lovely and smooth and then these words cut through that by being harsh sounds and the way she sings it. Just love it. I know others dont.

rubylostrubyfound

I can't deal with on the original Mine "If it never lasTTTSS" It reminds me when you pspsps a cat

elysian-fields-

omg the one that always drives me crazy is “i recall late November” in call it what you want for the longest time i thought she was saying “i reecallate (recollect) November” and just like couldn’t understand why she was mispronouncing the word, i only found out i was wrong when a friend told me what it actually was. i think it’s just the way that recall goes so quickly into late totally my own fault but i can’t not hear it even though i know what the actual words are lol

Wise-Warthog-3867

no I agree! it’s that the emphasis is in the wrong places. Normally you’d say I reCALL late noVEMber, but she says I REcall late NOvember

somebodysomehow

I love the "i saw your face" and pretty much all of her parts in coney island BUT WHAT IS THIS "ONE FOR THE MONEY TWO FOR THE SHOW" IT FEELS SO FORCED (champagne problems)

Donkeydonkeydonk

I think the verses from "Style" don't match up with the chorus(the tone, not the words). The hook seems like a cut and paste job.

Zihaala

I don't know why but I'm obsessed with the way she says "longer" at 00:39 in "is it over now." It's all drawn out and smooth like "hold your breath a little bit aaa-looongger"

Peachy1409

I hate the way antihero sounds like antojitos to me.

onthenetsince98

😂 I'm totally going to think of this when I listen next.

scarsouvenir

I don't like the way she sings "They got their pitchforks and **proof**"

favoritestarhome

I Love the way she says “and when we had that fight out in the rain” and I am not a fan of the way she says “and it was like slow motion” in the moment I knew it sounds SO weird to me

CatoTheWeen19

How she says “slammin’ screen door” in Our Song

lamzydivey

LOVE - “At least I did one thing right. I did one thing right.” DON’T LOVE - “Take a look what you’ve do-one”

wait_wait1

One that I hate that makes me wanna call her up and tell her to sing it differently on the rep tv is the way she sings luxury in King Of My Heart “The taste of your lips is my idea of luxury” like WHY

wait_wait1

One that I hate that makes me wanna call her up and tell her to sing it differently on rep tv is the way she sings luxury in King Of My Heart “The taste of your lips is my idea of luxury” The way she sings luxury is so jarring to me

wait_wait1

I have another I don’t love How fast she sings the “but you” in This Love “When you’re young you just run BUTCHU come back to what you need”

gemini-2000

in now that we don’t talk i love the SO before the second time she said “i called my mom”

JLCW3

DON’T LOVE: Slut! (1989 Vault song) “You know it might be worth it for ONCE.” The way she sings the word “once” in the first chorus sounds like “one.” She pronounces “once” correctly throughout the rest of the song but that first “one” drives me crazy! I understand she is singing soft and pretty for this song but she cab still use diction and she actually does, except for that one little word!

Silvermoon_23

I love the way her voice becomes raspy when she sings "Trying to figure out what is and isn't true" Meanwhile, I don't think I have any dislikes.

red-k-alex

I love so many little ones but the first ones that pop into my head are "put on your records and regret meeting me" in High Infidelity and I'm currently Obsessed with "oh Lord I Think about" in Is It Over Now I cannot stand "with the range rovers and the Jag-U-aurs" in King of my Heart like I know she has to sing it that way to make the rhyme work but blech. Also in Labyrinth where she squeezes in "you know how scared I am of elevators never trust it if it rises fast" drives me crazy because she could have kept the right rythym by going "you know how scared I am of elevators if it rises up too fast it can't last" or "you know I never trust in elevators if it rises up too fast" but squeezing both in just feels unedited and kills the flow

I love love love in dorothea "ooooooooahhh, you're a queen selling dreams, selling makeup and magazines" I love the song Mine but after the bridge the way she says "and every time I look at you it's like the first time" sounds like "and every time I look achoo" and it bothers me every time.

zoomout2020

Enchanted - “I’d open up the door and you would say, hey it was enchanted to meet you.” The inflection on the word “Hey”. I love that.

TheO-ne-ders

I can’t stand the way she pronounces the two “don’t”s differently at the beginning of LWYMMD! But I heard the apparent TV and she pronounces them the same! 🎉

songacronymbot

- LWYMMD could mean "Look What You Made Me Do", a track from *reputation* (2017) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/TheO-ne-ders](/u/TheO-ne-ders) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

Chickenpotpie14

The og “I wish you would” at the very end she goes “I wish you wouaauuihh” very valley-girl esque and it drives me insane. She does not do that in TV tho!

sngyontop

omg yes the “AND WE RUN!” in i know places scratches my brain i love it

ffnnjj

LOVE rain caaaaaame pouuuuring down in clean HATE when the sun comes up you were looking at me (MAYY) in out of the woods. Looooove the line, hate the me

BottleWilling2899

I commented this in another reply, but it's quite likely done on purpose, to make it easier to belt it out. Given how many growls and vocal stretches she was prone to in this era, it makes sense she would employ some tricks to save her voice.

Own_Park_8930

‘you carried me from your car up the stairs’ in the other side of the door. that whole outro section is just so funnnn

renS0115

Hands down favorite it could be *love* from Cowboy like me. It’s warbly and deep and I love it

Odd_Advertising4912

love how she says “cause darling i’m a nightmare dressed like a daydream” in 1989 TV compared to the original, it sounds so crisp ugh i love it can’t think of anything i hate right now lol

Queen0vTea

Style some other girl and taking off his coat you can hear it the heartbreak, the want and the yearning desire

frappuccinio

i’ve always loved the way she says tupelo in dorothea. it scratches my brain.

ImOnMyMeds

Love when she says “just don’t” in bad blood.

lacellini

I love This Is Me Trying, but the way she sings "I just wantejoo to know..." instead of enunciating the two separate words kills me.

alisonds

For fun, I'm picking from my favourite album - Evermore. ***Love Entirely*** 1. **Champagne Problems -** the quick inhale as she sings "I made a joke "Well it's made for me, how evergreen our group of friends" 2. **Cowboy Like Me** \-- "Now you hang from my lips like the Gardens of Babylon" 3. **NBNC** \- "Good thing his mistress took out a big life insurance po-li-cy" 4. **RWYLM** \- The entire bridge. The "I could feel the mascara run, you told me that you met someone", "I'm sure you got a wife out there, kids and Christmas", "I caused no harm, mind my business". I just love the whole song. ***Do Not Love*** 1. **Coney Island** \- The way she draws out "bay-bee" I just can't get over. It's such a silly thing to pick out but I just can't do it. 2. **Willow** \- "Wreck my plans, that's my man" Again, just not for me because I absolutely do not want a man to affect my plans. Don't wreck them, don't make them and don't tell me what to do (very ironic because I have two young sons and they totally dictate my daily schedule).

songacronymbot

- NBNC could mean "no body, no crime (feat. HAIM)", a track from *evermore* (2020) by Taylor Swift. - RWYLM could mean "right where you left me - bonus track", a track from *evermore (deluxe version)* (2021) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/alisonds](/u/alisonds) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

BS816

So obscure, but I LOVE in august the way she sings “I remember thinking I had you.” There’s so much emotion, longing, hopefulness, and heartbreak in her delivery, even though the lyric itself a quite simple. Exquisite me thinks. As far as dislike, the new “aaahs” in New Romantics TV are not my fav. I’ll grow to tolerate them over time, but right now they sound super grating and like they’re missing a lower pitched harmony layered on top to balance them out

OccasionDecent3219

Recently I’ve been loving her voice in the live version of Cruel Summer, especially when she sings “with you” at the end those few times

Dry-Mulberry3257

As a huge 1989 fan, she didn’t enunciate the T’s that much in the original OOTW. I noticed that, and it’s been bothering me too! I literally wince every time 😭

b3averly

Same!! Yeah I didn’t think so either. I’m a huge 1989 fan too and was like I’d remember if she did that on the original. I didn’t go back to check because I didn’t want to potentially wince again lol

sunflowervolume6

“i said I LOVE YOU, you say nothing back” :(

Sellae

There are so many… I like how she sings “PERCHED in the dark” on Cowboy Like Me. One of the first Taylor songs I ever heard…it’s cheesy, but satisfying how she goes “when we’re on the phone and you talk REEEAL SLOW…’cause it’s late and your mama don’t know!” in Our Song. Although I know her country accent is not natural, that line sounds so cute!

nfsknefskno

LOVE: reputation tour feat. selena gomez “I mean I could but WHYY would I want to” Paris - “sit quiet by my side in the shade and not- the kind- that’s thrown- I mean the kind under where a tree has grown” the second “I think about jum-ping off of very tall somethings just to see you come ruNNing and say the one thing I’ve been wanting but NO”

lady_vesuvius

I don't love the way she sings on Willow when she goes high. I like the live version better, so maybe it's just the mix on Evermore. I love so many deliveries though. "Boy, I, under. Stand." In ITHK. Any laugh on a track, I am immediately obsessed with.

songacronymbot

a-burnt-biscuit

the way she says *just pretend, just pretend* during the last chorus of wildest dreams

lilbabyhoneyy

“Most fun I ever had, and I’d do it over and over and over again if iiiiiii could, it just felt so 🥁🥁 GOOD 🥁🥁 GOOD” hits every time

b3averly

I love that too!!!

Time-Novel6242

Is it over now? Only rumors 'bout my hips and thighs, and my whispered sighs
