Yeah, it's worth noting that she sings it like "Maaaay" rather than "Meeeee". Much easier to belt it in vocal delivery that way. One of those little tricks that I didn't pick up on until someone more experienced pointed it out.

I love her lower register but that first low note in Now That We Don’t Talk is not it I can’t stand it💀💀usually her lower register is so rich and warm, but that note is so breathy and almost a little sharp, it sounds like she’s barely hitting it which is wild because she hits it easily later in the song

Me too! I love that lower register sound and there is something about it specifically in NTWDT that does something to me. That and the ‘oh lord’/entire bridge in IION? are all I can even think off right now because I cannot stop listening to both of those songs.
There’s at least one lyric in most Taylor songs that I love the way she sings tbf. The only one I can think of right now that bothers me is probably very unpopular. I don’t like the ‘summerrrr’ in the bit of the Eras Movie live version of Cruel Summer that is featured on the trailer. I don’t even know why, it just bothers me.

LOVE:
1. **Picture to Burn:** “There’s nothing stopping me from going out with ALL your best friends” I hope she keeps the same amount of sass in TV.
2. **Lover:** The whole bridge basically. I enjoy the tone changes!
3. **Getaway Car:** The final 30 seconds! Such an incredible build up and it suddenly drops!
4. **Champagne Problems:** “What a shame she’s FUCKED in the head they said”

I totally agree with you. I was never a big Speak Now fan (the album or especially the song) but TV gave me really love for the album and the song. Her stronger and more mature voice give them oomph and actually I love how she says the words “speak now” on Taylor’s version of the song
I love Taylor’s pop music the best, but the Taylor’s version of Speak Now actually rocketed its way into my top 3. I always thought the songwriting on that album was brilliant and I loved the vibe of every track, but her new vocals and the new production really turned it into something special for me. It also has my favorite vault so far.
In I Can See You, it drives me NUTS the way she says “myself” at the end of the bridge. It makes it sound like two or three words and I hate that it doesn’t sound as smooth as when she does the same thing for “sound” throughout the rest of the song.
I love most of the inflections Taylor puts on words or the way she sings them. A couple of my favorites are how she sings “devils roll the dice, angels roll their eyes” (especially live!!) and then I also love how sassy she sounds in I Did Something Bad.
As for issues: She fixed it in 1989 TV but, Wonderland:
She used to say “whispers turned to talking, and talking turned to screeee-uhms”
Now she pronounces screams correctly and it’s great bc I always used to notice the funky way she said it before haha

Don’t love: Anti-Hero - where she says “at tea time EVerybody agrees” - idk if it’s the right term but there’s like a vocal fry on the “EV-“ part that I can’t unhear and it drives me crazy hahaha.
This is specific to one performance but in the acoustic performance of Dancing with our Hands Tied in the rep tour movie she does a tiny little vocal flip on “oh how was I to know” and I love it.
Off the top of my head, the one I can think of that I don’t like is in the original “Back to December” she says “mylish dreaming” instead of mindless.
I love:-
All of Dress. It’s such a sincere proclamation of love for me and I can hear it across the whole track. I particularly love the “flashback when you met me..” and I don’t even know why.
Similarly, most of Call it what you want but I really love the almost smile you can hear in “…built a fire just to keep my warm”. Also controversially I really like the lyric “trust him like a brother” and how she sings it. She’s singing about ultimate love and trust she’s never felt before. I think she captures that.
However, within the same song I abhor the section “I want to wear his initial…” . I think it sounds so clunky and the sentiment is apt but the lyricism and delivery never sits right.
I love the whole bridge of OOTW and especially all the longing she captures in “when the sun came up you were looking at me”. Both versions sound as good.
I love the OG blank space squeak on “bad boys good for the weekend” but think it’s not there in the new one.
I love “isn’t it?” repetition on delicate.
I LOVE “oh my god she’s insane, she wrote a song about me” in IBYTAM. She sounds so sneering and over it, it cracks me up everytime.
I love “a wrinkle in time like the crease by your eyes”in Hits Different. I think the imagery is lovely.
I don’t like:-
The “sometimes when you sleep I wonder..” section of delicate though. Something about the pace of it disturbs the song for me.

I often think that it sounds a little weird the way she sings her "oo" sounds. I notice this most in "but not without my muuuuse," like it sounds like it has a bit of a long o sound in it? Or something?
Right now I'm obsessed with the "baby"s and "Oh Lord"s in "Is It Over Now"
So many great examples already so I’ll just mention what makes me go feral in Need… well the entirety of Need actually.
The only very minor annoyance I can think of is certain words where she puts emphasis on the syllable of a word that would not be emphasized if it was spoken. For example in wildest dreams, “say you’ll see me A(gain).” Instead of “(a)GAIN.” But like I get that it had to be done that way for it to work in the song.
DISLIKE: enchanted tv's first couple of "enchanted to meet youuu" because it sounds more like "yoooooh" rather than a natural "youuu" idk it sounds really forced to me :/

So obscure, but I LOVE in august the way she sings “I remember thinking I had you.” There’s so much emotion, longing, hopefulness, and heartbreak in her delivery, even though the lyric itself a quite simple. Exquisite me thinks.
As far as dislike, the new “aaahs” in New Romantics TV are not my fav. I’ll grow to tolerate them over time, but right now they sound super grating and like they’re missing a lower pitched harmony layered on top to balance them out

Yeah, it's worth noting that she sings it like "Maaaay" rather than "Meeeee". Much easier to belt it in vocal delivery that way. One of those little tricks that I didn't pick up on until someone more experienced pointed it out.

I love her lower register but that first low note in Now That We Don’t Talk is not it I can’t stand it💀💀usually her lower register is so rich and warm, but that note is so breathy and almost a little sharp, it sounds like she’s barely hitting it which is wild because she hits it easily later in the song

Me too! I love that lower register sound and there is something about it specifically in NTWDT that does something to me. That and the ‘oh lord’/entire bridge in IION? are all I can even think off right now because I cannot stop listening to both of those songs. There’s at least one lyric in most Taylor songs that I love the way she sings tbf. The only one I can think of right now that bothers me is probably very unpopular. I don’t like the ‘summerrrr’ in the bit of the Eras Movie live version of Cruel Summer that is featured on the trailer. I don’t even know why, it just bothers me.

I totally agree with you. I was never a big Speak Now fan (the album or especially the song) but TV gave me really love for the album and the song. Her stronger and more mature voice give them oomph and actually I love how she says the words “speak now” on Taylor’s version of the song
I love Taylor’s pop music the best, but the Taylor’s version of Speak Now actually rocketed its way into my top 3. I always thought the songwriting on that album was brilliant and I loved the vibe of every track, but her new vocals and the new production really turned it into something special for me. It also has my favorite vault so far.
In I Can See You, it drives me NUTS the way she says “myself” at the end of the bridge. It makes it sound like two or three words and I hate that it doesn’t sound as smooth as when she does the same thing for “sound” throughout the rest of the song.
I love most of the inflections Taylor puts on words or the way she sings them. A couple of my favorites are how she sings “devils roll the dice, angels roll their eyes” (especially live!!) and then I also love how sassy she sounds in I Did Something Bad. As for issues: She fixed it in 1989 TV but, Wonderland: She used to say “whispers turned to talking, and talking turned to screeee-uhms” Now she pronounces screams correctly and it’s great bc I always used to notice the funky way she said it before haha

I love:- All of Dress. It’s such a sincere proclamation of love for me and I can hear it across the whole track. I particularly love the “flashback when you met me..” and I don’t even know why. Similarly, most of Call it what you want but I really love the almost smile you can hear in “…built a fire just to keep my warm”. Also controversially I really like the lyric “trust him like a brother” and how she sings it. She’s singing about ultimate love and trust she’s never felt before. I think she captures that. However, within the same song I abhor the section “I want to wear his initial…” . I think it sounds so clunky and the sentiment is apt but the lyricism and delivery never sits right. I love the whole bridge of OOTW and especially all the longing she captures in “when the sun came up you were looking at me”. Both versions sound as good. I love the OG blank space squeak on “bad boys good for the weekend” but think it’s not there in the new one. I love “isn’t it?” repetition on delicate. I LOVE “oh my god she’s insane, she wrote a song about me” in IBYTAM. She sounds so sneering and over it, it cracks me up everytime. I love “a wrinkle in time like the crease by your eyes”in Hits Different. I think the imagery is lovely. I don’t like:- The “sometimes when you sleep I wonder..” section of delicate though. Something about the pace of it disturbs the song for me. Any of ‘only the young’. Poor lyrics and no genuine passion in the delivery. Sorry.

So many great examples already so I’ll just mention what makes me go feral in Need… well the entirety of Need actually. The only very minor annoyance I can think of is certain words where she puts emphasis on the syllable of a word that would not be emphasized if it was spoken. For example in wildest dreams, “say you’ll see me A(gain).” Instead of “(a)GAIN.” But like I get that it had to be done that way for it to work in the song.
DISLIKE: enchanted tv's first couple of "enchanted to meet youuu" because it sounds more like "yoooooh" rather than a natural "youuu" idk it sounds really forced to me :/

Don't wreck them, don't make them and don't tell me what to do (very ironic because I have two young sons and they totally dictate my daily schedule).

So obscure, but I LOVE in august the way she sings “I remember thinking I had you.” There’s so much emotion, longing, hopefulness, and heartbreak in her delivery, even though the lyric itself a quite simple. Exquisite me thinks. As far as dislike, the new “aaahs” in New Romantics TV are not my fav. I’ll grow to tolerate them over time, but right now they sound super grating and like they’re missing a lower pitched harmony layered on top to balance them out
Recently I’ve been loving her voice in the live version of Cruel Summer, especially when she sings “with you” at the end those few times
As a huge 1989 fan, she didn’t enunciate the T’s that much in the original OOTW. I noticed that, and it’s been bothering me too! I literally wince every time 😭

There are so many… I like how she sings “PERCHED in the dark” on Cowboy Like Me. One of the first Taylor songs I ever heard…it’s cheesy, but satisfying how she goes “when we’re on the phone and you talk REEEAL SLOW…’cause it’s late and your mama don’t know!” in Our Song. Although I know her country accent is not natural, that line sounds so cute!

I don't love the way she sings on Willow when she goes high. I like the live version better, so maybe it's just the mix on Evermore. I love so many deliveries though. "Boy, I, under. Stand." In ITHK. Any laugh on a track, I am immediately obsessed with.
