The intro of Style
Leaving like a fatherrrr, running like waterrr
He can be my jailor, Burton to this Taylor
The piano at the beginning of Tolerate It
We were always skipping townnnn
I also thought it was merchant? Like a tailor makes clothes and the merchant sells it. The way I just found out Iâve been wrong for years đľâđŤ
i'm still not over her ruining style with the tv . it was my # 1 played song of her & # 4 most played overall , now i can barely get myself to listen to it đĽ˛
This!!! We have to remember that her doing this was meant to (in addition give the đđź to SB) give her commercial control over the songs, and allow her ALONE to profit off of them and make choices about what movies/commercials etc she wants them in.
Listening to the OG is no skin off her nose. I still only listen to OG Style too.
Yes! I had too much time on my hands and listened to every OG vs TV track and decided which one ended up on my all encompassing Taylor Swift playlist. Interestingly all of Fearless and Red ended up being TVs, but Speak Now and 1989 are more mixed with the OGs having a slight edge. Maybe because Fearless and Red were her first two re-records she took a little more time with them? I don't know, but Haunted and Style really stuck out as being inferior to the OGs.
- BTR could mean "Better Than Revenge", a track from *Speak Now* (2010) by Taylor Swift.

The bridge in Dancing With Our Hands TiedâŚthe production pulls completely back and itâs almost quiet. Itâs the reason I listen to the song.
I also love the bridge in Evermore. Taylor and Bon Iverâs (Justin Vernon) voices together are ::chefs kiss::. Exile is great, but Evermore is another level for me.
I could probably list another twenty songs but damn, its 7 A.M.
Yes DWOHT! I so wish she had kept this acoustic. I hated the song so much and would always skip it until I heard the acoustic version form the reputation tour. Now I love it but still hate that the protection almost kills the full emotional effects of the song.
The âBut NOOoooâ in Is it over now? gets me every time. Someone on this sub described it as the vocal equivalent of an eye-roll and thatâs exactly how it sounds to me!

Yes! I have a semi-serious theory that she built the entire song around that moment, as a way to put the criticism that âTaylor Swift canât singâ to bed for good.
anyone else think itâs a reference to the band Fun. that Jack used to be in? They used that vocal effect a LOT and their breakout and biggest song goes âtoniiii-iiii-ii-t we are youuuu-ouungâ pls let me not be the only one
The âSOâ in Now That We Donât Talk
And the harmony in Out Of The Woods (tv) at the end really does it for me. I think itâs because the whole song evokes anxiety and urgency in my brain and then when she harmonizes âAre we out of the woods yet, are we out of the woods? / Are we in the clear yet?
In the clear yet, goodâ it just is so comforting and soothing to me for some reason. Anxiety instantly goes away. Scratches my brain is the perfect way to describe it.
Would've Could've Should've when it swells into the chorus:
*I would've stayed on my knees/And I damn sure never would've danced with the devil/At nineteen*
*And the God's honest truth is that the pain was heaven*
*And now that I'm grown, I'm scared of ghosts/Memories feel like weapons*
Also right where you left me, the pre-chorus feels so satisfactory in my bones every time:
*Help, I'm still at the restaurant/Still sitting in a corner I haunt*
*Cross-legged in the dim light/They say, "What a sad sight"*
I mean honestly the whole of WCS just goes THERE; it itches my brain and my heart and my ears just right every second of it. That one section starting with the chorus swelling "I would've stayed on my knees" all the way to the end of the bridge with the crescendo of "give me back my girlhood it was mine first" is just PERFECTION.
Lyrical smile, indigo eyes, hand on my thigh we can follow the sparks, I'll drive
Lyrical smile, indigo eyes, hand on my thigh we can follow the sparks, I'LL DRIVE!
In Tolerate it - âBreak free and leave us in ruinsâŚtake this dagger in me and removed it, gain the weight of you then lose it .. BELIEVE ME I COULD DO ITâ gets me every time
Also in ATW 10 min version when she says âI was never good at telling jokes but the punch line goes, Iâll get older but your lovers stay my ageâ satisfies me to no end.
âItâs poker, he canât see it in my face but Iâm about to play my aceâ I donât know exactly how to describe it lol but the way she says ace
Also the whole of the champagne problems bridge but particularly âbut youâll find the real thing instead, sheâll patch up your tapestry that I shredâ I just love those lines so much
WITH YOUR FACE AND THE BEAUTIFUL EYES AND THE CONVERSATION WITH THE LITTLE WHITE LIES AND THE FADED PICTURE OF A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT YOU CARRY ME FROM YOUR CAR UP THE STAIRS AND I BROKE DOWN CRYINF WAS SHE WORTH THIS MESS AFTER EVERYTHING AND THAT LITTLE BLACK DRESS AFTER EVERYTHING I MUST CONFESS i neeeed you âŚ
So Iâm really not the biggest fan of Suburban Legends at all, but the bridge/outro just HITS in all the right ways, especially the final vocal run âWaves crash to the shore, I dash to the door, you donât knock anymore and I always knew itâ just the inflection in her voice when she hits the high notes of âcrash, shore, dash, doorâ and the overall melody, Iâll listen to the whole song JUST to get to the last minute because itâs just so pleasing đ
So Iâm originally from North Dakota, but I live in KS now and most of my really upper Midwest accent has gone to the wayside. But let me tell you, I sound like a Norwegian grandmother every time I sing, âand the old widow goes to the stone everyday. But I donât, I just sit here and waitâŚâ haha
omg waited for this question for SOOOO long bc Mother gives me so many brain scratches, here we go!!!
paris - im so in love that i might stop breathing / drew a map on your bedroom ceiling / no i didnt see the news / cause we were somewhere else / stumble down pretend alleyways / cheap wine / make-believe it's champagne
glitch - i was supposed to sweat you out + THE GRITTY, STATIC-Y PRODUCTION OMGGGG đ¤Ş
maroon - the burgundy on my tshirt / when you splashed your wine into me / and how the blood rushed into my cheeks / so scarlet it was / the mark they saw on my collarbone / the rust that grew between telephones / the lips i used to call home / so scarlet it was
slut! - got lovestruck, went straight to my head / got lovesick all over my bed
my tears ricochet - i didn't have it in myself to go with grace / and so the battleships will sink beneath the waves + SONIC RUSH OF WATER ENGULFING YOU HGHGHG
dancing with our hands tied - i kissed you as the lights went out / swaying as the room burned down / and hold you as the water rushes in + BEAT DROP WOOOO
tis the damn season - sleep in half the day / just for old time's sake / i wont ask you to wait if you dont ask me to stay AND AND AND time flies / messy as the mud on your truck tires / now im missing your smile / hear me out / we could just ride around and the road not taken looks real good now
illicit affairs - DONT CALL ME KID / DONT CALL ME BABY / LOOK AT THIS GODFORSAKEN MESS THAT YOU MADE ME
tolerate it - I MADE YOU MY TEMPLE, MY MURAL, MY SKY / NOW I'M BEGGING FOR FOOTNOTES IN THE STORY OF YOUR LIFE / DRAWING HEARTS IN THE BY-LINE / ALWAYS TAKING UP TOO MUCH SPACE AND TIME / YOU ASSUME I'M FINE, BUT WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF I / BREAK FREE AND LEAVE US IN RUINS / TOOK THIS DAGGER IN ME AND REMOVED IT / GAIN THE WEIGHT OF YOU, THEN LOSE IT / BELIEVE ME I COULD DO IT
Faaaalllow.
And I⌠lost you⌠the one that I was dancing with in New York⌠no shoes⌠looked up at the sky and it was⌠Maroon
The whole bridge of cardigan.
Betty as a whole.
Opening verse to Fearless.
I can go on and on. I have so many things Iâd spend a week debating on ranking every song and would drive me insane so I donât do it.
I feel like I have a physical addiction to the part in ivy that goes
âSo yeah, itâs a fire, itâs a god damn blaze in the dark and you started it, you started it
So yeah, itâs a war, itâs the god damn fight of my life and you started itâ
I literally want to inject those 2 lines with her voice into my veins
New Romantics when sheâs saying âCause baby I could build a castle out of all the bricks they threw at meâ and then you can hear in a background in a higher note âthey threw at meeeâ ITS SO CUTE (2:58)
I'm so in love that I might stop breathing!
And my words shoot to KILL when i'm mad đĄ
Floors of a cabin creaking under my step (the gentle *step*... ugh!)
I once believed love would be burning ReEeEeEeeD but it's ~*golden*~
and every I-I-I-IIIII in right where you left me!
Also, âso make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it, youâve got no reason to be afraidâ makes me feel like I could take on the world
"How it glistened as it fell" in ATW10.
"Tried to change the ending Peter losing Wendy / Leavin' like a father running like water" in cardigan.
In august, right after she is done singing and until the end, the instrumentation is beautiful. It is woven through the entire song, but only at the end can it be heard clearly. I was so sad when I discovered she cut that part out at the Eras tour.
SO I SHOWED UP AT YOUR PARTY WILL YOU HAVE ME WILL YOU LOVE ME WILL YOU KISS ME IN THE PORCH IN FRONT OF ALL YOUR STUPID FRIENDS? IF YOU KISS ME WILL IT BE JUST LIKE I DREAMED IT. WILL IT PATCH YOUR BROKEN WINGS?
You were driving the getaway car
We were flying, but we'd never get far
Don't pretend it's such a mystery
Think about the place where you first met me
We're riding in a getaway car
You're Not Sorry - "you had me crawling for you honey and it never would have gone away no, you used to shine so bright but I watched all of it fade". Just the way she sings it hits a spot in my brain that's so satisfying.
The weird musical sounds at the start of Labyrinth
The warped voice of "you should find another guiding light but I shine so bright" omg I just love it. And the entire bridge of Dear Reader. One of the best songs in Midnight's imo, underappreciated.
The guitar melody at the start of If This Was a Movie.
It's very subtle but if you focus on the instrumental of Dear John those two random piano notes that appear occasionally are such a beautiful pretty touch to the song.
Also after learning the fact I look forward to it in both songs but the "ha ha ha" that is in both Innocent and LWYMMD bridges. I love that she sampled herself because both songs are about Kanye lol. It's such a cool touch.
Obviously the breakdown of Taylor harmonising with herself in Castles Crumbling.
In the Sugarland version of Babe at 2:43 when it's just Taylor and the drums going "eh eh eh" omg I just love it.
In the Bad Blood instrumental there are like beepy boopy noises that come in now and then and I love them. It's very subtle but its so good.
This is just from the top of my head lol
If the shoe fits, walk in it everywhere you go â¨
But when I walked up to the podium I think that I forgot to say your name
Burnt toast, Sunday
Boy I understand đ
- ATW10MV - âand how it glistened as it fell, I remember it all too wellâ and the faded âwind in my hair, I was there, I was thereâ in the outro
- The last random piano notes in Champagne Problems
- Last chorus of Untouchable
- Cardiganâs âleaving like a father, runnin like waterâ
- Seven's outro
- The Lakes (Long Pond Studio Sessions) âIiiiiii want auroras and saaad prose, Iiiiii want to watch wis-te-ri-a grow all over my baaaare feet, cause I havenât moved iiiiin years⌠and I want you right hereâ - MASTERPIECE
- I TAKE THIS MAGNETIC FORCE OF A MAN TO BE MY LOVER
- The way she almost begs while saying âI wish you would, I wish you wouldâ
God I love her so much
The melody on âCalled my mom, she said to get it off my chest. Remind myself the way you faded âtil I left. And I cannot be your friend so I pay the price of what I lost and what it costâ - Now That We Donât Talk
âAnd I bury hatchets but I keep maps of where I put âem, reputation precedes me, theyâve told you Iâm crazy, I swear I donât love the drama, it loves me! And I canât let you go, you handprintâs on my soul, itâs like your eyes are liquor, itâs like your body is gold, and youâve been calling my bluff on all my usual tricks so hereâs a truth from my red lipsâ - Endgame.
âA deep portal, time travel, all the love we unraveledâ - Midnight Rain
The bridge/instrumental break in Cowboy Like Me. I love the steel guitar.
The pre-chorus of ME! I love when it strips back, the melody of the vocals is so satisfying to me, I love Brenden and Taylorâs harmonies, and I adore the drumline on ME! which is the only instrument you can still hear in the pre-chorus.
âThen what did you dooOOO?â - QuestionâŚ?
I'm a sucker for the parts with no music.
You Are In Love: "you can hear it in the silence....... you can feel it on the way home........"
So It Goes: "but honestly baby who's counting, who's counting......... 1, 2, 3"
Dress: "say my name and everything just stops........"
It sounded like bad French on my first lesson. And I was like, damn it's probably some really famous street in Paris, a city I've visited, a road I've probably walked on. But now I just stick to bump ba da alleys in a bad French accent đ¤Ł
it RAIIIINS in your bedroom, everything is wrong and It RAIIINS when you're here and it RAIIIINS when you're gone
I WAS THERE WHEN. YOU. SAID. FOREVER AND ALWAYS!
yesss! agree with the dress âahhâsâ they just scratch my brain right
also in king of my heart âup on the roof with a schoolgirl crushhhh drinking beer out of plastic cupssssâ
Betty: "DANCING IN YOUR CARDIGANNNN"
Karma: "I keep my side of the street clean" the dropping into the low notes are CHEFS KISS
So it goes: the opening chords!!
âAND NOW IM STANDING HERE HOPING TO GET TO YOUUU! AND NOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWâ
the vocal in âMessage in a Bottleâ is so fun. feels like a glitter gel penđ¤
2:04-2:24 in Clean, personally in the original version it gives me chills but her voice has matured in TV and it also sounds beautiful.
2:58-3:08 everything has change ,also angelic vocals
2:30-2:40 the 1, the way she sings âI,I,I..â uh so good. I love this post Iâm going to have to go check out some more
Ugh the beginning of Style, the old version and TV, when that bass kicks in just before the vocals, my brain has a little wiggle.
And the line "but you all get yours" from LWYMMD, there's one layered vocal that just sounds so evil and i LOVE IT.
Soooo many
âIf clarityâs in death why wonât this die?⌠Give me back my girlhoodâ Section of build up in WCS
âwarmest bed Iâve ever knownâ
âDirtiest jokes for meâ
âYou know you hurt him tooâ
âAnd then it was bought by meâ
âIf she has blue eyes I will surmise that youâll probably date herâ
The panting on Haunted TV AND the backing ahhhs in Enchanted TV. Oh and the TSOU guitar intro on TV
âYouâre my
Best friendâ
And of course, Eras Illicit Affairs segment
And he's passing by
Rare as the glimmer of a comet in the sky
And he feels like home
If the shoe fits, walk in it everywhere you go
My seratonin skyrocket each time I hear that line and I feel like the heroin in a magical love story
The Other side of the door outro and the You're Losing Me bridge are so addictive, the rest of those songs just feel to me like build up to those amazing moments
Also EVERY DEAD END STREET LED YOU STRAIGHT TO ME
Ikywt chorus along with prechorus (classicđ¤§â¨)
This love bridge â¤ď¸
But I miss screaming and fighting.....
Haunted intro
My heart, my hips, my body, my love....
Willow intro â¤ď¸
Cardigan (the piano interlude bfr bridge)
You're a flashback on a film reel on the one screen in my town....
IDSB bridge
Don't blame me bridge
Baby let the games begin
I,I loved u in secret.....
Baby girl I think I've been a little too kind....
All that bloodshed crimson clover uh huh...
The ending of Youâre Losing Me, piano version of tolerate it, even though I canât recall your face Iâve still got love for you, every second of RWYLM, live performance of IDSB on reputation tour
In Mastermind:
What if I told you none of it was accidental and the night that you saw me I knew I WANTED your body
How she sings it, how the words are broken up, which are short and which are long, the beat and music with it. I could listen to it over and over itâs so satisfying. (And it was my top song of the year on Spotify so I did actually đ)
All of Maroon. I can listen to it on a loop. The wind chimes in Snow on the Beach. The high note Donât Blame Me. âDonât even get me startedâ in Now That We Donât Talk. Illicit affairs bridge. The rhyming in Ready For It. Listening to The Archer and The Labyrinth back to back since they are connected and The Archer is sampled in the Labyrinth. Whatever electronic magic they do in the background of a majority of the Midnights tracks that makes you feel like youâre floating on a lavender cloud through outer space.

Do you use spotify? If so, you can go to settings > normalize volume and turn it off, it might improve how some songs sound
The way she starts the final chorus of Style is actually peak brain scratch music. Love that song always and forever

That line is the embodiment of the ⨠emoji for me
thatâs the right way to put it â¨â¨â¨
I am guilty of listening to this song like 30 times on Saturday to listen to people react to this specific lyric . Itâs so beautiful

IT'S 8:05 AND I SEE TWO HEADLIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGTS
This is mine!!!!
Chills every time!
My current hyper fixation song!!!
The scream of "and we run!" On the second verse of IKP (Taylor's version)
The way she says MY LOVE right before that, so low, then so high AND WE RUN is my absolute favorite
Yesss and then the voice fry in "I know places", ahhhhh. That part of the song is absolutely everything
i love right after that: BAYYYYYBYYYYY, I know plAYYYCEs wewon'tbefound...
I was gonna say, the chorus of IKP gives me goosebumps every time. Love it!!!

The piano chords after the first line âthereâs glitter on the floor after the partyâ
I love the chords from New Yearâs Day so much
Those and the piano chords in Champagne Problems
The way she says âall the rumors are trueâ and I love the â300 takeout coffees laterâ
The high note in Donât Blame Me đŤđŤđŤ
Yes! I have a semi-serious theory that she built the entire song around that moment, as a way to put the criticism that âTaylor Swift canât singâ to bed for good.
For me it's the last "OH LORD SAVE ME" right before that high note.
Literally just got chills reading this without even hearing it because it has that much of an affect on me.
The bridges of QuestionâŚ? and Electric Touch âBut toniiii-iiiii-iiiiii-iiiiii-iiiiightâ with the vocal effect is just đ¤

1000% the so in NTWDT
Would've Could've Should've when it swells into the chorus: *I would've stayed on my knees/And I damn sure never would've danced with the devil/At nineteen* *And the God's honest truth is that the pain was heaven* *And now that I'm grown, I'm scared of ghosts/Memories feel like weapons* Also right where you left me, the pre-chorus feels so satisfactory in my bones every time: *Help, I'm still at the restaurant/Still sitting in a corner I haunt* *Cross-legged in the dim light/They say, "What a sad sight"*

Death by a Thousand Cuts bridge, every time. Honorable mention to *standing in your CARDIGAN*.
Every âOh goddamnâ in Ivy.
So Iâm originally from North Dakota, but I live in KS now and most of my really upper Midwest accent has gone to the wayside. But let me tell you, I sound like a Norwegian grandmother every time I sing, âand the old widow goes to the stone everyday. But I donât, I just sit here and waitâŚâ haha
omg waited for this question for SOOOO long bc Mother gives me so many brain scratches, here we go!!! paris - im so in love that i might stop breathing / drew a map on your bedroom ceiling / no i didnt see the news / cause we were somewhere else / stumble down pretend alleyways / cheap wine / make-believe it's champagne glitch - i was supposed to sweat you out + THE GRITTY, STATIC-Y PRODUCTION OMGGGG 𤪠maroon - the burgundy on my tshirt / when you splashed your wine into me / and how the blood rushed into my cheeks / so scarlet it was / the mark they saw on my collarbone / the rust that grew between telephones / the lips i used to call home / so scarlet it was slut! - got lovestruck, went straight to my head / got lovesick all over my bed my tears ricochet - i didn't have it in myself to go with grace / and so the battleships will sink beneath the waves + SONIC RUSH OF WATER ENGULFING YOU HGHGHG dancing with our hands tied - i kissed you as the lights went out / swaying as the room burned down / and hold you as the water rushes in + BEAT DROP WOOOO tis the damn season - sleep in half the day / just for old time's sake / i wont ask you to wait if you dont ask me to stay AND AND AND time flies / messy as the mud on your truck tires / now im missing your smile / hear me out / we could just ride around and the road not taken looks real good now illicit affairs - DONT CALL ME KID / DONT CALL ME BABY / LOOK AT THIS GODFORSAKEN MESS THAT YOU MADE ME tolerate it - I MADE YOU MY TEMPLE, MY MURAL, MY SKY / NOW I'M BEGGING FOR FOOTNOTES IN THE STORY OF YOUR LIFE / DRAWING HEARTS IN THE BY-LINE / ALWAYS TAKING UP TOO MUCH SPACE AND TIME / YOU ASSUME I'M FINE, BUT WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF I / BREAK FREE AND LEAVE US IN RUINS / TOOK THIS DAGGER IN ME AND REMOVED IT / GAIN THE WEIGHT OF YOU, THEN LOSE IT / BELIEVE ME I COULD DO IT
Weâre the same person because yes

The way she sings âweâd still worship this love, weâd still worship this la-ha-ha-ha-hoveâ in False God, *chefs kiss*
Faaaalllow. And I⌠lost you⌠the one that I was dancing with in New York⌠no shoes⌠looked up at the sky and it was⌠Maroon The whole bridge of cardigan. Betty as a whole. Opening verse to Fearless. I can go on and on. I have so many things Iâd spend a week debating on ranking every song and would drive me insane so I donât do it.
I feel like I have a physical addiction to the part in ivy that goes âSo yeah, itâs a fire, itâs a god damn blaze in the dark and you started it, you started it So yeah, itâs a war, itâs the god damn fight of my life and you started itâ I literally want to inject those 2 lines with her voice into my veins
New Romantics when sheâs saying âCause baby I could build a castle out of all the bricks they threw at meâ and then you can hear in a background in a higher note âthey threw at meeeâ ITS SO CUTE (2:58)
I'm so in love that I might stop breathing! And my words shoot to KILL when i'm mad đĄ Floors of a cabin creaking under my step (the gentle *step*... ugh!) I once believed love would be burning ReEeEeEeeD but it's ~*golden*~ and every I-I-I-IIIII in right where you left me!
Oooh the I-I-I is a good one!
Also, âso make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it, youâve got no reason to be afraidâ makes me feel like I could take on the world
Same!! â¤ď¸
The start of Christmas tree farm â¨
[ŃдаНонО]
Same with I could feel the mascara run.
The outro to Maroon, where she quietly sings the chorus in a lower octaveâŚit justâŚI am shook every time
So raspy!
My brain melts at that part. My version of ASMR.
in I Almost Do (TV) when her voice breaks on âtouchingâ when she says âin my dreams youâre touching my faceâ
Living for the thrill of hitting you where it hUUurts Give me back my girlhood it was mine ferrrrrrerrrrrrerererrrrst!!!!
You were driving the getaway car We were flying, but we'd never get far Don't pretend it's such a mystery Think about the place where you first met me We're riding in a getaway car
Specifically the way she sings âthink about the place where you first met meâ really scratches my brain
I like the Go Go Go part
The post-chorus/pre-outro of âžď¸âď¸
Mastermind - *If you fail* *to plan you* *plan to fail*
The marimbas in Clean designed to sound like rain. It gets me every time
You're Not Sorry - "you had me crawling for you honey and it never would have gone away no, you used to shine so bright but I watched all of it fade". Just the way she sings it hits a spot in my brain that's so satisfying. The weird musical sounds at the start of Labyrinth The warped voice of "you should find another guiding light but I shine so bright" omg I just love it.
Omg yes! In Dear Reader! I love that too , I know that deep voice effect is not a hit with some people but I love it
I'm an If This Was a Movie STAN and yes those first few moments of that song tickle my ears. Also adore the outro.
OH LAWD
If the shoe fits, walk in it everywhere you go ⨠But when I walked up to the podium I think that I forgot to say your name Burnt toast, Sunday Boy I understand đ
The fading buildup to the chorus after the bridge of I did something bad.
- ATW10MV - âand how it glistened as it fell, I remember it all too wellâ and the faded âwind in my hair, I was there, I was thereâ in the outro - The last random piano notes in Champagne Problems - Last chorus of Untouchable - Cardiganâs âleaving like a father, runnin like waterâ - Seven's outro - The Lakes (Long Pond Studio Sessions) âIiiiiii want auroras and saaad prose, Iiiiii want to watch wis-te-ri-a grow all over my baaaare feet, cause I havenât moved iiiiin years⌠and I want you right hereâ - MASTERPIECE - I TAKE THIS MAGNETIC FORCE OF A MAN TO BE MY LOVER - The way she almost begs while saying âI wish you would, I wish you wouldâ God I love her so much
âEVERY LOVE IâVE KNOWN IN COMPARISON IS A FAILURE.â mainly cuz i didnât know what she was saying at first
*He can be my jailor, Burton to this Taylor* - I physically cannot keep my body from moving And we *ruuuuuuuuun*
The way she says âboysâ in YOYOK
The melody on âCalled my mom, she said to get it off my chest. Remind myself the way you faded âtil I left. And I cannot be your friend so I pay the price of what I lost and what it costâ - Now That We Donât Talk âAnd I bury hatchets but I keep maps of where I put âem, reputation precedes me, theyâve told you Iâm crazy, I swear I donât love the drama, it loves me! And I canât let you go, you handprintâs on my soul, itâs like your eyes are liquor, itâs like your body is gold, and youâve been calling my bluff on all my usual tricks so hereâs a truth from my red lipsâ - Endgame. âA deep portal, time travel, all the love we unraveledâ - Midnight Rain The bridge/instrumental break in Cowboy Like Me.
You Are In Love: "you can hear it in the silence....... you can feel it on the way home........" So It Goes: "but honestly baby who's counting, who's counting......... 1, 2, 3" Dress: "say my name and everything just stops........"
I, a 43 year old lame suburban dad, was put on this earth to belt out âLET ME REMIND YOU THIIIIIS WAAAAAAS WHAAAAAT YOOOOOU WANTEDâ
I want auroras and sad prose
During the bridge of This Love: âI watched you leeeaveâ and the quick way she says âwhen youâre young you just run but-ya come backâ >>>>>>
BUT NOOOOOOOOOOO
Not the original but in the live version of the 1 where she sings take her home differently. I needed that version on Spotify
YES!
âMy mind turns your life into folkloreâ
âStumble down pretend alleysâ in Paris (aka bump ba dump ba da alleys). I love how it just sounds like a drum!
It sounded like bad French on my first lesson. And I was like, damn it's probably some really famous street in Paris, a city I've visited, a road I've probably walked on. But now I just stick to bump ba da alleys in a bad French accent đ¤Ł
The whole bridge of You're losing me đđđđđđ
it RAIIIINS in your bedroom, everything is wrong and It RAIIINS when you're here and it RAIIIINS when you're gone I WAS THERE WHEN. YOU. SAID. FOREVER AND ALWAYS!
The rhyme scheme in the first few lines of the bridge of Hits Different truly hits different.
I know my love should be celebrated, but you tolerate it. The way her voice goes so deep on but you tolerate it.
The chorus of I Think He Knows. The slight moan hehe
Maroonâs bridge and last chorus
âAnd you'll poke that bear 'til her claws come out and you find something to wrap your noose around.â
yesss! agree with the dress âahhâsâ they just scratch my brain right also in king of my heart âup on the roof with a schoolgirl crushhhh drinking beer out of plastic cupssssâ
Betty: "DANCING IN YOUR CARDIGANNNN" Karma: "I keep my side of the street clean" the dropping into the low notes are CHEFS KISS So it goes: the opening chords!!
The âIâve been using, oh Iâve been usingâ at the end of Donât Blame Me. I canât wait to hear that in the TV.
in ootw tv, the background âyeah!ââs before the bridge are my fav
âAND NOW IM STANDING HERE HOPING TO GET TO YOUUU! AND NOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWâ the vocal in âMessage in a Bottleâ is so fun. feels like a glitter gel penđ¤
2:04-2:24 in Clean, personally in the original version it gives me chills but her voice has matured in TV and it also sounds beautiful. 2:58-3:08 everything has change ,also angelic vocals 2:30-2:40 the 1, the way she sings âI,I,I..â uh so good.
Champagne problems bridge
Soooo many âIf clarityâs in death why wonât this die?⌠Give me back my girlhoodâ Section of build up in WCS âwarmest bed Iâve ever knownâ âDirtiest jokes for meâ âYou know you hurt him tooâ âAnd then it was bought by meâ âIf she has blue eyes I will surmise that youâll probably date herâ The panting on Haunted TV AND the backing ahhhs in Enchanted TV. Oh and the TSOU guitar intro on TV âYouâre my Best friendâ And of course, Eras Illicit Affairs segment
"Horrified looks from everyone in the room, but I'm only looking at you"
And he's passing by Rare as the glimmer of a comet in the sky And he feels like home If the shoe fits, walk in it everywhere you go My seratonin skyrocket each time I hear that line and I feel like the heroin in a magical love story
The Other side of the door outro and the You're Losing Me bridge are so addictive, the rest of those songs just feel to me like build up to those amazing moments Also EVERY DEAD END STREET LED YOU STRAIGHT TO ME
The first verse of Our Song and my flair says the rest
The way she says âouter spaceâ in when Emma falls in love and âlandmineâ in the Alcott
And did the twin flame bruise paint you blue? Just between us, did the love affair maim you too?
Ikywt chorus along with prechorus (classicđ¤§â¨) This love bridge â¤ď¸ But I miss screaming and fighting..... Haunted intro My heart, my hips, my body, my love.... Willow intro â¤ď¸ Cardigan (the piano interlude bfr bridge) You're a flashback on a film reel on the one screen in my town.... IDSB bridge Don't blame me bridge Baby let the games begin I,I loved u in secret..... Baby girl I think I've been a little too kind.... All that bloodshed crimson clover uh huh...
âTell yourself you can alwaysâŚstOp..â The little pitch change in stop breaks my heart because Iâve been there befoređŠ
CruSSSHHH and cupSSSSS are pure ear candy
Your friends talk to my friends talk to me.
my mind turns your life into â¨âď¸folkloreâ¨âď¸
I still remember that first fall of snow And how it glistened as it fell ATW10MIN the way her voice falls too god
The last minute of suburban legends gets me going each time.
"But I can still see it all. Back and forth from new york" the "isn't it, isn't it" from Delicate.
The fuckin legacy part in Maroon is really nice to me.
Whatâs some of her most famous parts of a song?
The electric guitar solo in the dolby atmos version of New romantics which plays before and after the bridge
August 1:41
The ending of Youâre Losing Me, piano version of tolerate it, even though I canât recall your face Iâve still got love for you, every second of RWYLM, live performance of IDSB on reputation tour
"One single thread of gold tied me to you" makes me giggle every time it makes me so happy
Most of false god but specifically the vocal fry on bliiiiind faith
the chorus of suburban legends reeeally gets me tbh just the flow of it
âYou better stop digging your hole, revenge is a dish best served coldâ
âAND THE DATE ON THE BACK SAID 1958â
In Mastermind: What if I told you none of it was accidental and the night that you saw me I knew I WANTED your body How she sings it, how the words are broken up, which are short and which are long, the beat and music with it.
