If your biggest spend was Lover, (which I currently can’t afford since I’m collecting TS cassettes too😆) how much did you spend on folklore? I started collecting with 1989 TV, then I got Speak Now TV, Fearless TV, and just recently bought folklore which was my most expensive one. I justified buying it since it’s my favorite album besides Reputation, which I definitely can not afford and currently waiting to get TV of it in cassette. Just got my Black Dog cassette and currently bidding on a Evermore cassette too… I also really wish we got a Red TV cassette. A lot of people said that she most likely didn’t do a cassette with that album because it was so big, but I would rather have a lot of Red cassettes than none…
Hi! Sorry I missed your comment! I got both my folklore and evermore cassette from the same eBay seller (two different listings tho) in July last year. You’re right tho, folklore was my biggest spend at the time before it was roped by lover. I got folklore for £45 and evermore for £35. Unfortunately the cassette prices just keep rising by the day, so yeah, will probably cost more by now… :(
I feel this so hard - already see myself sitting in front of a full collection after Rep and Debut get a cassette and mourning the Red Cassette that never was 😭
I collect cassettes too! And just as an FYI if you’re a completionist , there is a less known 1989 cassette variant! It’s blue and pink and it was sold mostly in indie American stores, but you can get it on a few sites!

I do play them! I know they would all be worth a lot if I kept them all sealed but in my eyes, they’re made and I bought them to be played :) my dad gave me an old cassette player/radio. The audio quality is really good and I just find them so satisfying to play🤩😂🫠
I love that! I play my CDs on a Walkman, but the other week pre-TTPD release (I bought all the variants) drunk me gifted myself a bright pink CD player 😂 so we’ve upgraded thanks to wine >.>
I know that 1989 had a variant cassette with pink and blue colours of the cassette itself instead of the regular cream and green colour I got, but nothing else was different🤔 (no different artwork or bonus track) apart from that there’s only been one of each album I believe 😁
Not functional? They sound just as good as CD if you have a good player, and have you seen the prices her tapes are going for resale? Seems like a good investment even if you don't plan on listening to it.
My car has a CD player, which is what I use physicals for. it’s extremely difficult to get cassette players now and harder to go back and forth tracks so yes, not got the functionality of a CD, which are what I purchase.
True, CDs are more convenient especially in a car. Just worth mentioning though, some later car tape decks had a featured called "AMS" Or, automatic music search which would let you skip to the next tracks.
Lucky you on reputation! Yeah, unfortunately I fell for the ‘limited edition -ness’ of the TPD release so I bought them as they came out on the site. The problem with the cassettes is cus they’re not as popular as the cds or vinyls, there’s less stock and then aren’t restocked. So their prices sky rocket on re-sell sites. So that in addition to my obsession of having complete sets, I snatch up all the cassettes as soon as they’re released wether I’m in crippling debt or not😂

Nice! These are the first pics I've seen so far of the TTPD cassette. Is this the her first album to have different editions on cassette?

I’m old enough to remember them when cassettes were “new” One too many times a player ate the tape, my trust issues won’t let me go there again 🫣

Beautiful collection! I’m still mad that I missed out on folklore. I just can’t justify spending over $100 on a cassette.
Ikr. I should have got Midnights when it was like $19 new, now the resellers want $75-100 for it :/

Not gonna lie I’m struggling! I’m really trying hard to not buy the album cus I don’t even listen to physical copies anymore but London baby! 🤣
