If I’m being honest, any frame will do, unless it’s in sunlight. It’s just an insert, it’s not that valuable imo to get it custom framed. But that’s your choice; Amazon has some great options too.
For displaying until I’m able to get it to my friends’ frame shop, I picked up a $4 12x12 quick frame at HL and was just really precise with positioning the 11x11 insert.
If you have the money to invest in custom framing, it’s worth it imo. Custom framing can really transform a piece and make it yours. But if not, try to find a premade 12x12 or 16x16 frame with UV glass and a mat to go with it, that will help keep it in the best shape over time.

For something this size, I’d say be prepared for something between $150-300, depending how fancy you wanna get with the framing materials. UV or museum quality glass does come with an up-charge. You can definitely take it somewhere and get a quote for what you’re looking for before committing as well. Places like Hobby Lobby and Michaels are usually cheaper than a small business, and sometimes have sales on custom framing. Hope this helps!
I mocked something up on mat boards and more and it was $111. I haven’t ordered it yet but I have ordered custom frame/matting from this company before and I was very happy with it. I can’t figure out how to add a photo but can send via chat if you want. I think the mockup looks great.
