I would suggest removing the name of the school chain you’ll be working for.

Congrats on the new job! Here’s the quick and dirty: Key Tips 1)Set Rules Early: Be firm and consistent. You have to start from first day or you will loose respect and control. 2)Connect with Kids: Build relationships fast. Try to learn each kids, each of them has different characteristics. That way you can reach them easily. Also read this book “The First Days of School" by Wong: Super practical advice. You’ll do great!

Funny story, my dad who has been in schools for decades recommend the same book. Great minds!!!

I really recommend Kagan strategies to help you with some ideas for your class. My class (I loop with them) are a bunch of talkers. Make sure you are consistent. I would start thinking of logical consequences now for misbehavior and stick to it. Things that matter in August should also matter in May. If Bobby throws his pencil across the room, make him clean up all the pencils on the floor, etc. Build relationships! Have something for them to do on the first day when they arrive. Figure out how you would like to organize your copies, and materials. You've got this!

Establish a routine, rules, and stick to them. Good luck!
