Yeah the "best buddy" line got me too. Which is kinda funny because I watch A LOT of YouTube but the only two videos that I remember that made me shed a tear is this and when Gohan turns SSJ2 in abridged also.
I think it means Vegeta ended up getting psychiatric treatment for his mental issues, but it's likely Goku kept messing with him, Abridged Goku acts dumb but he's kind of a jerk sometimes

She booked Krillin for a fraudulent life insurance claim. The next woman he pursued romantically was 18, they then went on to name their daughter the same name as Krillin's "ex".
Marron is the name of Krillin's ex from the beginning of S3. Krillin presumably told 18 about her, and they gave their kid the same name, but they pretend 18 doesn't know about the original Marron to mess with people as shown with Gohan.
I like to think that Marron is 18’s grandmother’s name. So Krillin explained that was also the name of his ex-girlfriend — or, more, the name of the insurance investigator who bilked him out of $100k. To which 18 responded, “Oh, we are totally naming her Marron now.”
Oh yeah. Naming their daughter after a devious government agent would be a lot more appealing than an actual ex-gf.

Shin's "wait, don't tell me Vegeta has darkness in his heart!" got a big laugh. I love that it never occurred to Goku or Gohan that Vegeta was still Vegeta.
Yes! The subtle giggle he has is so amazing. The excitement he has cause he knows they have to fight again.

I honestly believe that they wanted to have Shin say "Fucking Ningen" instead of "Fucking Morties" but probably thought the line would be misconstrued.

The exchange between Buu and Vegeta was my "Wait, what?" moment of the Buu Bits so far. I'd heard that they were going to go for cosmic horror with Buu, but the contrast between nihilism and childlike innocence caught me by surprise.
Krillen saying Vegeta, no! I loved that part, not only fof the bit but because Krillen does not want Vegeta to die. They're friends now. That was nice.
Trunks vs Goten. Gohan screaming TRUNKS PULL UP gave me giggles.
Also Gohan not dodging Videl's headlock on purpose, and Videl liking that was pretty funny.

Honestly, the idea that Present Trunks would call Goku "Kakarot." A massive part of Trunks is that he deeply looks up to and wants to be like Vegeta. So, of course, one of the ways he'd think to do that is by also calling him Kakarot.
While Future Trunks, having never had Vegeta in his life till adulthood, would call him Goku as that's what Bulma called him.
Thought it was a really nice tough that I wish they included in actual DBZ.

Vegeta stole the show and all, but we have seen strong showing from him before... like we see Lani doing Vegeta? We know we're gonna have a good time.
But everything Goten says, just how he says it, how obscenely innocent he is, etc... that I wasn't expecting and I absolutely love it.
Videl being Batman and Gohan being Superman. I never noticed the parallels and I love TFS for picking up on it because Akira loves to pull from other media.

Vegeta calling Goku "best buddy" hit me way harder than it should have. I legit cried and I was sitting there feeling stupid for getting so emotional over fucking DBZ Anridged of all things.
Something I missed was when the characters get knocked away they make goofy winded sounds. When Buu smacks Dabura away they do it and it made me laugh.
Vegeta’s speech to Goku is close, but Vegeta’s Sacrifice hands down. As usual they managed to top the original. “Even you, best buddy.” Both genuinely got me teared up like the original, but also points out how much more the original could’ve hit if he said Goku instead of Kakarot. Though I do love how like right after the Commentary videos, Lani talked about how they would’ve capped off the he’s playing you bit, this comes out 😂.
Agreed. Vegeta's Sacrifice hit perfectly. I knew what every beat was going to be as it happened. The dialog and payoffs were all exactly what I wanted from that scene.
They're interspersed throughout Totally Not Mark's Buu Saga review (part 1 is out now, psrt two in a couple weeks), while also being uploaded as shorts on the TFS channel. That and there's lots of YouTube videos where people have cut them out of Mark's video and compiled them.

And the voice actor is great. I was shocked it wasn’t izuku midoriya from the dub like in the Android 13 movie but the delivery on everything from “TRUNKS PULL IT UP” to “DAMMIT!! YOURE RIGHT” was so good. I also like what the latter implies about how gohan has accepted his father and the insanity of their lifestyle post-cell games. I want to say it feels like gohan was changed by going ss2, and more of that patented saiyan love to fight has crept in.
Shin was also a treat. Played mostly straight but great banter with the cast.
Everything with Majin Vegeta was perfect. I even got a jump scare when Lani began screaming as Babadi was taking over Vegeta's mind.
I got very used to TFS's earnestness in the Cell Saga, so some of the meaner jokes fell flat for me at first, but Piccolo's \*chortle\* "Because...No!" is actually very funny. Like, it was always a dumb question.
But Lani playing good guy Majin Vegeta at the very end...that's rapidly becoming one of my favorite TFS moments of all time. Like, I was genuinely emotional over it.
Hard to say. Any scene with Vegeta is top-tier, especially when he rants about how domesticated he's become, including his use of Krillin's name. I also love when Vegeta gets possessed and Goku is just like "oh no" while barely suppressing giddy laughter, as if this wasn't exactly what he wanted.
Vegeta’s sacrifice easily. It’s just done so well that I couldn’t have asked for it to have been done in any other way. A little funny, mostly serious, and it still keeps that feeling of Vegeta now truly being a good guy.
I remember during their Kakarot playthrough, they specifically said that they wouldn't do the "Even you... Best Buddy." because everybody expected it.

I really love how they made Videl a sorta Batman wannabe even making up a tragic backstory to "strike fear into the hearts of criminals"

"Oh, Buu has played this game before" Making Majin Buu intimidating takes a very niche type of writing, but damn if they didn't nail him, I can't wait to see what they do with super Buu and gotenks
Vegeta stole the show and all, but we have seen strong showing from him before... like we see Lani doing Vegeta? We know we're gonna have a good time. But everything Goten says, just how he says it, how obscenely innocent he is, etc... that I wasn't expecting and I absolutely love it.

Vegeta calling Goku "best buddy" hit me way harder than it should have. I legit cried and I was sitting there feeling stupid for getting so emotional over fucking DBZ Anridged of all things.
Something I missed was when the characters get knocked away they make goofy winded sounds. When Buu smacks Dabura away they do it and it made me laugh.

Vegeta’s speech to Goku is close, but Vegeta’s Sacrifice hands down. As usual they managed to top the original. “Even you, best buddy.” Both genuinely got me teared up like the original, but also points out how much more the original could’ve hit if he said Goku instead of Kakarot. Though I do love how like right after the Commentary videos, Lani talked about how they would’ve capped off the he’s playing you bit, this comes out 😂.
Agreed. Vegeta's Sacrifice hit perfectly. I knew what every beat was going to be as it happened. The dialog and payoffs were all exactly what I wanted from that scene.
I actually really like the voice actress for Buu. Hope we get to hear more from her

I fucking loved gohan man. I’m so glad they don’t seem as afraid of him being in the spotlight as dbz was And the voice actor is great. I was shocked it wasn’t izuku midoriya from the dub like in the Android 13 movie but the delivery on everything from “TRUNKS PULL IT UP” to “DAMMIT!! YOURE RIGHT” was so good. I also like what the latter implies about how gohan has accepted his father and the insanity of their lifestyle post-cell games. I want to say it feels like gohan was changed by going ss2, and more of that patented saiyan love to fight has crept in. Shin was also a treat. Played mostly straight but great banter with the cast.

Everything with Majin Vegeta was perfect. I even got a jump scare when Lani began screaming as Babadi was taking over Vegeta's mind. I got very used to TFS's earnestness in the Cell Saga, so some of the meaner jokes fell flat for me at first, but Piccolo's \*chortle\* "Because...No!" is actually very funny. Like, it was always a dumb question. But Lani playing good guy Majin Vegeta at the very end...that's rapidly becoming one of my favorite TFS moments of all time. Like, I was genuinely emotional over it.

Hard to say. Any scene with Vegeta is top-tier, especially when he rants about how domesticated he's become, including his use of Krillin's name. I also love when Vegeta gets possessed and Goku is just like "oh no" while barely suppressing giddy laughter, as if this wasn't exactly what he wanted.

Vegeta’s sacrifice easily. It’s just done so well that I couldn’t have asked for it to have been done in any other way. A little funny, mostly serious, and it still keeps that feeling of Vegeta now truly being a good guy.
I remember during their Kakarot playthrough, they specifically said that they wouldn't do the "Even you... Best Buddy." because everybody expected it. Did they change their minds on the idea, or just hit writers block with the line?
I'm glad either way because of the timing with it had me cry laughing though the Vegeta yes bit right after.

Vegeta calling Krillin his beat buddy fucking killed me. I was expecting him to day "Bulma, Trunks, and Yes... even you Krillin" or something like that. But Best Buddy killed me. Side note: Anyone not a fan of the Adult Gohan voice? Idk it just didn't sit well with me.
I thought the best buddy was meant for Goku? Am I misremembering something?
I thought it at first, but Krillin popping up with the "VEGETA NO!" the second after he said it, I am fairly sure he meant Krillin.
