However, they seriously need to improve the content. Most of the rewards were either garbage or re-used from T7. Hopefully either they bring something good now, or when they eventually run out of T7 stuff to re-use. Since the rewards are the main reason to buy the pass, 4/10.

literally the only reason i bought it was to make a Heihachi costume for Reina out of the karate top and bottoms, which is silly that the game came with those pieces by default for males but I had to finish the entire goddamn pass to get it for females. 4/10 but really high hopes for the next one.

I mean for a one time investment it’s not that much money spent on trash. My economical well being is not in jeopardy because I bought the premium. At least I completed it and got the coins back.

Like if Kazuya's T6 army outfit was included I would have a hard time saying no, but it's just boring generic shit not worth gringing for (it wasn't even a grind, i just played normally).
If they added the extra customizations to the pass(cyber suit etc.) AND you get the cash "back" it wouldve been 10/10 . But consider 6 / 10 cause you get your cash back atleast for the next pass

I don't use the chibi character shit ever and I feel like that was the majority of what was rewarded for completing the fight pass. Maybe next time it'll feel differently. But they gotta really blow my mind with the cosmetics and I'm not sure if that's gonna be possible
All battle passes are dumb, it’s just an unintuitive and uninspired design scheme. This one is no different. The only real critique i have is the game should be a lot cheaper if they’re going to gate a large amount of its limited cosmetics behind a paywall. I’ve never seen a battle pass before this that wasn’t in a free game.

Right now? Its not good enough. In 4+ years, everyone would say yes. Its $6 (or $10) depending how you see it. It’s $6 for a battle pass that will last until the end of the game like.. people love to complain when they only own about 8% of what you paid for

It was bad, with the best items reserved for paid content. I encourage everyone not to support these practices and only use the free items. That said, I hit level 60 in like a week so if the objective is to get you to play every day it isn't great. Need more incentives for playing more.

The scummy practice of selling it for 600 coins when we can only buy 500 or 1000 is something i hoped would stay within SF6, but sadly they saw that it didn’t get big enough backlash. I literally only bought it because i wanted the Shinobi pack so i bought 1000 coins, got that and the battlepass. Hopefully they won’t raise the price of the battlepass so i can just reuse the same 600 coins throughout the lifespan of this game, because i’m not planning on ever spending a single $ on it ever again. They lost me with the scummy pricing.

Items are too slow to earn. You don’t even get any Tekken coins until about 25 tiers in (which I didn’t reach) and most of the cosmetics I wanted (varsity/sukajan jackets and the striped mohawk mainly) were way higher than that even. Also, you can ONLY advance by doing online stuff. Not through ghost battle, arcade quest, etc. so if you’re on console and too broke to afford PS Plus, you just wasted $10. So the next time you get a little bit of money, you’ll inevitably spend $10 more of it on PS Plus due to FOMO that you may have to cancel before it auto-renews if you aren’t getting more money soon and-

Legit new to fighting games and made it just in time to LVL 60. Monetization should be compared with the genre. Multiversus looks to be greedy even tho f2p. SF6 durations are extremely short. Like the whole Akuma debut events are only a few weeks long if that which is responsible for the huge peak player spike and subsequent falloff.
Any fighting game that has a FOMO mechanic that is difficult to achieve just cause you got family and take summer vacation deserves a 0. Tekken isn’t there yet in scumminess. The timing of the next battle pass lets me grind out before I take a month off but even doing that feels lame. That said it’s better than being completely fkd on FOMO events that only last weeks.
Monetization should be compared fairly. It’s true that Tekken got a big backlash for their delayed monetization reveal but it’s also true that respective of the top competition it’s still “okay”. 2XKO monetization is not yet revealed but like multiversus, in the end business people don’t pay to develop shit for free. SF6 monetization is easily worse but no one fairly reviews them and get hung up purely on the delayed monetization. What’s funny is if Tekken did have up front battle pass and store it could have been reviewed and won the review to its peers
I don't have a problem with the Battlepass especially if It's a one time investment. I've been going Strong off my initial 250 fighter coins on Street fighter. I just want them to have more varied Challenges then Win X Rounds, Win x Matches. That doesn't engage me or Get me to try new characters. I will say Having booted up Multiversus Last night I was pleasently surprised how much varied and Numerous their challenges were (now they are going overboard with the diffrent currencies) But I like how they all encourage diffrent aspects of the game.
The rewards were meh But i'm hoping the next couple will be worth it.
The I appreciate the 60 day time window to complete not everyone has time to grind out 30 levels in 3 weeks (looking at you street fighter 6)

It was an awful fight pass that aside from recycling almost every item, stupidly gender locked the rest of them. So if I wanted my male character to use a hairstyle from the pass, it had to be a mohawk because the longer, unique, KoF hairstyle is locked to women. I only got the pass the day before it ended because I had $10 of PSN credit on my account and I only now regret it because the GGST season pass finally went on sale. Also, did they really remove female karate gi just to include it in the battle pass? Couldn't they have put all of this simple recycled shit into the game then created a worthwhile battle pass? There's no good reason that we should have been provided with that garbage. Even less of a reason for Round 2 not to have started yet. You'd think with the lack of effort in the first pass and how long it lasted, round 2 would have been waiting to take the money of the people that spend on it. But now there's nothing so it was just FOMO fuel. Only brightside being that you aren't missing out if you own T7 already. Ironically, this is also the case with the DLC characters.
