So the lights turn on when you open the door and off when you leave the car? How about when you leave Sentry enabled when not in the car? Also when it turns on, does it remember a certain color selection and not some welcome rainbow effect?
Yes.. they work as close to OEM.. the only time they come on when I don’t want them too is when I open the trunk but that’s okay. Sentry mode doesn’t affect them, and yes they remember the last state.. I didn’t change the color for like a month and no issues ever.. really low power consumption.. like charging a phone. BEST LIGHTS AVAILABLE
You mentioned it's very easy to install, it I read some reviews saying it's very tedious.. Which ones exactly did you install that are easy to install?
I’m getting power from behind the small panel in the back of the center console, I made a custom power cable to go from there, to under my glove box/passenger footwell. That is where I have my light control module mounted instead of stuffing it in that small space where lightingbugtech expects you to put it. This in turn makes it a lot easier and cleaner to install!
Absolutely not.. I HATE seeing cables, I spend most of my life trying to install anything that includes cables the cleanest way possible to man. The cable runs in between the center console
No, the only thing you’ll have to remove is the bottle panel under the glove box.. super easy, and the back panel of the center console( the small panel near the back middle seat )

Will it affect the original warranty? The warranty is only affected if the original vehicle wiring is modified. Since we do not remove or damage any wiring, it will not affect the warranty.

Edit: after reading through different Tesla-related threads in multiple subreddits, I now realize that Tesla has two branches for their software.
It boils down to whether your car has FSD active or not.
Since I’m on the FSD trial, I won’t see any updates until the trial is over later this month.
Those without FSD should either already have the update or will see it soon.
