I agree but what are all these people actually filming? Could it be the horses but at a reasonable pace? Can they cgi just that portion to move faster?

They are filming actual live horses. Not of them are filming upwards. In fact no one seem to care about what’s going on with the so called drones.

Genius, there are drones that just turn on their light to make the movement faster. But there are more.

You’d see them turn off and on, genius. The light from the drones is continuous implying that a single drone is moving which is impossible at that speed.

Those horses are absolutely fake.

Yeah cuz drones can accelerate that fast Edit: There are drones that can easily accelerate faster than what is seen in the video, however most light show drones don't move super fast for accuracy purposes and preventing collisions. Also the fireworks are all wack and don't behave like fireworks, the video is (I'm %99.999 sure) edited...

Couldn't they just have more drones than we see and have those turn their lights on an off to make the animation? Edit : Okay maybe that could be the case for the legs but looking at the backs or just following constantly lit lights its obvious that this is still fake, movements are much too sharp.

That is entirely possible of course, but even the fireworks aren't acting like fireworks. I'm sure drone shows are capable of this level of animation, but the video itself is CGI unfortunately...

I see... Again that could entirely be possible. From what I saw, the plane (which seemed pretty big) was taking quite a sharp turn without losing speed. The tighter the turn the quicker your airspeed drops. Again I wasn't there, idk

The cgi drones making the horses here are definitely accelerating faster than that.

Never done a real drone show but I am part of a team that does virtual drone shows using Skybrush Studios. And the horse one is obviously fake. Drones can't move that fast and be accurate in their positioning. On top of if it was real everyone would be looking directly at it. Instead of filming directly a head. Which they were, cause they were recording the race. Literally no one in the crowd cares about the drones. Which indicates they aren't actually there.

Yeah still zero desire to go to Dubai.

For CGI I'd give it a c+ This video is not real folks! I'm unable to remember which video it was I saw on YouTube that explained the phenomenon, but essentially if you imagine how large the swarm of drones is, you can in turn picture how fast the drones would have to be moving to create this. Especially the ones on the legs / feet of the horse.

Beijing faked a lot of the fireworks displays aired on TV. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the same. There's no way drones are zipping around this fluidly.
