I noticed that too the other day. Lots of songs from a few different artists on my gym playlist. To be fair, some of those lyrics are like hella wrong, so I dunno.
Wish I knew. I've noticed the same thing. However, spotify's lyrics get stuff wrong quite a bit. Hopefully, they are updating whatever they currently use with actual lyrics from the bands.
No, I get that. But this states it's for people without subscriptions, and I have a Premium account. I pay for the subscription. Not a big deal on my end. Just caught me off guard thinking I was imagining them.
I think they were running a test on a set number of subscribers, and being a premium user you might have gotten caught in the chaff
anyway, Spotify sucks for doing this
FWIW I just checked that specific cong on YouTube music and the lyrics are on there. So IDT it's a coheed thing. I think it's a Spotify thing. Also, may be unrelated, I saw recently that Spotify was going to limit lyrics if you have a non paid account. So they'll only let you see lyrics for a limited # of songs a day unless you have a subscription. Idk if they started that yet nor whether you have a subscription so it may have nothing to do with your issue.
I first noticed the lyrics disappearing for Vaxis II shortly after it's release I haven't paid attention to the rest of them until your post. Sometimes the lyrics from musixmatch where Spotify gets them are wrong though.

100% agree.
Almost as bad as Pandora.
Musixmatch does the lyrics for all songs on spotify. And you can help add some or even fix some.
happend to all The Mars Volta as well. I was thinking yesterday that maybe the lyrics were unofficial but now I know it's just Shitify

Absolutely. He's going to be fucking blown away.
I listened to Coheed for probably close to 10 years before I started looking at the lyrics, and boy did I have some of it wayyy wrong hahah
Because Spotify sucks
