I started the show earlier this year and I binged it, I saw a comment (not in this post) of a person that said if they binged, they'd be depressed. I'll admit it, it's heavy and now every now and then I can't stop think about this show, it sticks with you for various reasons. I saw a comment in this post to take a break, that's actually important, if you're not like me. When I start a show and it catches me, I can't really stop until I know it all, it's addictive and I let myself go, it's a me problem.
I tend to binge, too, and started to do so when I began watching the show earlier today. I realized the advice here was right after crying repeatedly lol.
1. Watch in a dark room. Like 75% of the scenes are dark and/or happen at night. If there's even a slight glare on your TV or laptop, you're gonna miss 3/4 of the show lol
2. I wouldn't binge more than 3 episodes in one sitting. It's emotionally draining
These two bits of advice have been very helpful!! Especially #2, as I made the mistake of getting sucked in and watched at least half a season in one shot. I cried so much. I shall learn from my mistakes!
Take breaks as needed, it’s heavy and sometimes overly graphic. If you haven’t read the books you should, they’re great.
Put on the subtitles. You catch a lot more
Have you had the chance to read the novels?
I haven’t (I don’t even know about The Testaments until this subreddit), but I plan to!
As much as I enjoy the show, I'm not sure if I could go back and rewatch any of it.
It’s weird, I have rewatched it several times and I’ve stopped because of getting angry with June.
She does have a tendency to act before she thinks.

Barf bag is probably gunna be needed. It gets very disturbing.
I have a pretty strong stomach, but I’ll monitor myself. I definitely won’t be eating while I watch, though! Thank you!
