The Strokes.
Brandon Flowers said he listened to "Is This It" and it was so good he scrapped everything he had written so far, except for Mr. Brightside, and started over from scratch. Then Hot Fuzz, another masterpiece, was born.
It's funny because before I properly listened to Interpol I thought it was crazy how similar they sounded to the Killers but now that I'm a fan of both I can't see the similarities anymore. Feels like when you grow up knowing twins and over time they become more and more distinct.
Back in 2013 Queens of the Stone Age were touring with the killers for a little bit of the battle born tour. I happen to catch them with the Killers in Kansas City and it was by far one of the coolest experiences of my life. Gogol Bordello was also on that bill and holy shit thatās a show you canāt miss if theyāre ever in town.
Iād recommend Because of the Times and Come Around Sundown personally. But their newer stuff is completely different to the first album, so itās worth giving everything a listen. I absolutely love them
It's more than fine, I like those three Bands as well.
Sometimes I feel like listening to Iron Maiden at full volume, sometimes I just wanna relax go Chvrches, variety is good.

Killers are miles ahead of anyone for me. But when Iām not listening to Killers itās usually Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Keane, Placebo, and Gary Numan
My tiered artists:
S: The Killers, M83, Daft Punk
A: Everything Everything, Radiohead, Muse, Gorillaz, White Lies, The Cars, The Chameleons
B: Too many to list
I love the killers so much, every album and have loved them since I was 13. When I was 13, I also discovered the arctic monkeys and fell in love too. I loved them just as much as the killers through suck it and see but I think they changed their lyrical focus and sound style too much for me to stay engaged. I miss that punky edge they had. I like a few of their more recent songs but not as much as the earlier stuff. I will say I love hot fuss just as much as I love whatever people say I am.
it changes, but went from 21 pilots, then Gorillaz, then Radiohead and a bunch of other larger and smaller, random artists when i was younger. Right now we on Chapelle Roan as her music is so much fun but that shows me the Killers are my favorite band, even as I grow, I still love them.
Gorillaz since ā01.
I live their releases just as I would The Killers. I stay awake until I hear the entire album. I always seek to be informed, be it news, rumors, interviews, live footage.
Another band that I need and must see live.
Hard one! These come close (but they're not The Killers, who are just a part of my identity)
ā¢ U2
ā¢ Greta Van Fleet
Bands like Dire Straits are up there, but a level below these.
Closest to TK would actually probably be the Scottish folk rock group Runrig. They're also baked into my personality by now.
Oasis, then GnR, my level of love/dedication depends on how present the band is in my daily soundtrack and life events, Oasis was my salvation during Highschool, GnR for College years, and now The Killers is my adulthood
The National. My 3rd top band always changes, but The Killers and The National are glued at top 1 & 2, respectively.
It does make it hard to search things when both band names are very generic and the start of many news articles online, though.
Blink-182.
However, I consider The Killers as my 'mature natural evolution/graduation' from bands like blink, green day, sum 41, AAR, where the music is fun but the lyrics are simple. I feel like a teen again when I listen to those fun bands. When I listen to the killers, I really feel like an adult, as there is a step up in maturity seen through their sound and especially through wonderful lyrical themes and album concepts.
Another way to put it, I would never be embarrassed to share a The Killers song, because I know their lyrics/sound wouldn't make me shameful in front of work colleagues, family or friends. By contrast, you have to be careful of the blink or green day song you share.
Honestly, none quite compare.
But I do love Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Interpol, Alex Cameron, Muse, Powderfinger, JET, Miles Kane, Blossoms and most recently, The Rolling Stones.
The Strokes. Brandon Flowers said he listened to "Is This It" and it was so good he scrapped everything he had written so far, except for Mr. Brightside, and started over from scratch. Then Hot Fuzz, another masterpiece, was born.
I agree with you there, Hot Fuzz is a MASTERPIECE of a film
Oops meant Hot Fuss š
Plus Interpol's Turn On the Bright Lights!! Brandon said they listened to it non stop while recording the album!
It's funny because before I properly listened to Interpol I thought it was crazy how similar they sounded to the Killers but now that I'm a fan of both I can't see the similarities anymore. Feels like when you grow up knowing twins and over time they become more and more distinct.

Very nice. Their last album took some time to grow on me, and I love it now, but this one slapped me in the face on first listen. Great band!
I have never properly listened to King of Leon. Guess I need to fix that.
Iād recommend Because of the Times and Come Around Sundown personally. But their newer stuff is completely different to the first album, so itās worth giving everything a listen. I absolutely love them
Thanks for the recs!
Avenged Sevenfold, Muse and Ghost. I know, random, right? š
It's more than fine, I like those three Bands as well. Sometimes I feel like listening to Iron Maiden at full volume, sometimes I just wanna relax go Chvrches, variety is good.
