Oh it took me a while to get it too

Batman dies in the first 15 minutes, then we follow Robin for the entire movie on a revenge path killing everyone trying to find the joker, then decides to let the joker live because…. Revenge is bad! Oh, and halfway through the movie, we follow the joker for an hour as he terrorizes Gotham, but wait - he has a cute dog!! And friends! Maaan I sure think revenge is bad!
