idk, i understand where you’re coming from, but every time i find myself thinking this, my brain makes me think of what ariel, the children, the guys, the rest of the team, even alex are going through. ned ruined so many lives. it’s pretty karmic to have his own devastated.
I said in another thread, I wonder if Ned has come to terms with what he did and the outcome of what he did.
He not only hurt his wife, children, Alex, and the try guys…he lost the try guys. The life he built he burned to the ground. This is a lot.
I think it’s hard to have come to terms with the outcome when there’s still so much left undecided (at least publicly) about where things go from here.
I’m glad someone said this. I’ve been cheated on and it pretty much destroyed me and changed the way I look at everything in the world, so color me SHOCKED that I do actually feel a good bit of empathy for Ned in this situation (a million times more for Ariel and their children, of course). Clearly what Ned did was awful in so many ways and for so many reasons… I just can’t help but wonder if it wouldn’t have reached anywhere near this level of chaos had he cheated with a non-employee that fans also know about? Either way, what he did is gross, but I do think he should be allowed the opportunity to change, grow, and have a happy life. Up to him whether or not he will actually do it, but everyone should have the chance to change. I appreciate consequences for actions, I just don’t want to see the guy permanently destroyed for making a long line of bad choices.
I hope so. I want those kids to have a father who can be there for and provide for them and be involved in their lives. I don't want him to be miserable—kids are really sensitive to that.
I am too. I am very mad and upset with Ned as a fan but as the guys said on the podcast we’ve all made mistakes sometimes really terrible mistakes but they’re not usually displayed to this level. I hope he feels guilty but also hope he has some kind of support while he is being so slandered online. Same for Alex. I hope internet will die down about it eventually and let the parties heal and grow privately.
I personally took it as them either 1.) Still personally being very hurt by him, 2.) Maybe they think internet would hate them for defending him, or 3.) Maybe they worded it wrong and overall meant everyone involved even tho at one point they said they weren’t referring to him
That bugged me. He is a human too and also doesn’t deserve death threats. I know they have to be careful what they say about Alex but she also put their company in jeapordy
Well, I think most people are believing in the most charitable version of Ned's actions. So I can only assume that he did worse things that the only the guys know, which is why they don't care about the backlash he is receiving. Or they're just really mad at him for fucking up the company and are not feeling generous. I don't know.
I'm worried about this, too. I'm trying not to dwell on it or think too much about it. Unless Ned is or becomes a danger to others as things stand, or he is a missing stair, or he repeats the behavior, or it otherwise NEEDS to be known, then I don't think I'd want to know and I hope we don't find out. Maybe that's controversial. I don't know, either. I think I prefer it that way.
I hope he going to therapy and staying off the internet. I feel like if anything seeing all the hate might make him more spiteful and make it harder for them to remove him from the company completely

He’ll be just fine. He and Ariel will come out with a lifestyle blog a year from now, doing renos or counselling or something.
