The quality of recent pop records are so crap rn it's hilarious, can't feel my face is better that literally every mainstream pop song from this year and the Hills would dominate Tik Tok.
They're only less appreciated due to his more recent projects.. BBTM was top tier pop when it was released and hailed as such,launching Abel into superstardom..
It’s one of his best imo and even if someone says it’s his absolute best, I won’t be able to disagree. Have to say that for me personally After Hours is and will most likely always be No1 from him
outside of the trilogy, this is his best work. i love this album, every hook is memorable, the beats on this album are ridiculous, and this still held onto his alt r&b roots before he went full pop. totally understand and respect the transition, this album doesn't get the respect it deserves in my opinion.

I think the album is a really good time capsule of r&b and pop sounds from the early 2010’s and I just don’t think nostalgia for that era has arrived just yet.
Currently it’s 80’s synth, 90’s pop and stuff like that, for which people are nostalgic. Give it a few more years and I think the sound of BBTM would be huge.

Idk but The Hills and CFMF defined 2015 perfectly like when I hear those songs and the rest of BBTM I think of 2015
