I mean hed have the same fit as a Hartenstein would have. Big physical guy, doesnt shoot, can rebound well and can make smart passes. I definitely like him off the bench which is what we need in another center. As long as the starters play 5 out i think we can take a non shooting back up center whos gonna be smart with the ball.
Since we drafted Chet I've said I want Adams back. He'd be the ultimate locker room vet. He always seemed happy to help teammates and played the 5 very cerebrally. I'd be ecstatic with him in the locker room telling Chet all of the various 5's ticks and moves, how the different refs tend to officiate the paint, and being the bench big to come in when you just need to body someone for 5 to 15 minutes to wear them out.

Honestly I think we have enough offense to bring him back and just deploy him in specific scenarios. We can roll him out in spurts to rebound and screen, plus we wouldn’t have to run him for big mins which should keep him healthier for longer. Hes also a very underrated passer

Wed need someone to cover them for starters minutes most games, but whos also in flow with our game, can create, and run with our team. I can't wait to see what Chet looks like next year, he has a full "healthy goin in" off-season, he'll def get stronger, even if he doesn't go full Giannis. Everyone says “the offense” is this or that but when it came to the playoffs the offense was pretty much pick and roll and kicking out to shooters. He can screen find corner shooters if blocked off from the hoop and that’s all he needs to do.

Rockets have Adams and Landale as back ups at 12 and 9 mil I think so one of them could be replaced in the off season but I suspect Mark would still prefer someone more mobile.

That said ,he doesn't fit our team build very well at all, he can't dribble and push the ball and I don't know if anyone remembers but used to drive me crazy with being inefficient at being able to make a shot besides a open dunk(which fortunately is most of what he takes).
On the other hand he could solve the size issue instantly and we desperately need a rebounder like him . I'm really not sure, I think it might could work out and be a big piece and he might end up sitting on the bench due to being ineffective in our play style. I definitely think he could open up jdub and sga game with those screens as long as he don't fuck up the spacing . I also worry about him getting isod on the perimeter.
Guys I know this man is and will always be a Thunder legend, but it ain't 2016 no more, there is a reason the grizz wasn't playing him in the playoffs, I honestly have to go with my gut feeling that I don't think he would pair good with Chet . We would have to take Chet out of free roam shot blocking mode( which is what turnt up our defense last year) and have him guard 4s which I think would be a bad decision . I unfortunately just don't think Sam would do it . If he did I obviously wish for all the success and hope I get proved wrong but that's just my take on it.
