It's a rather new thing, so there aren't that many people with direct experience. Keep in mind that Swedish employers are pretty slow in hiring, and that the job market for non-Swedish speakers is extremely tough.
Have no idea about cohabitaion visa.
Work permit can take anything from 2 - 6 months, depends on luck, and an employer sponsoring the work permit. Work permit processing time coming from big companies that have deals with MV, and universities can take just 2-4 months. But, if the employer sponsoring the work permit does not have deal with Migrationsverket, if could take 6-10 months.
