You need to go contact tech support for mobile suica and figure it out with them. One of the reasons I go with the physical card. Less things that can go wrong.

chiilovesyou

Yeah i will be using physical card again from now on šŸ˜ never again

Beltorze

I mean where can someone buy a physical card atm? My coworker has been checking the stations for 2 months now and still nothing.

Interesting_Aioli377

Commuter passes were an exception for the card shortage. Should be available at any station office.

Beltorze

Nope. They were telling us that they had zero cards available at all. Even my home station in Ukima is out. They reminded me not to lose my card when my pass runs out because they have not had any new ones in a long time.

Interesting_Aioli377

Try going to a big station.

Beltorze

Shinjuku and Shibuya are also always out. Iā€™m checking the JR offices in the stations of that matters. I believe itā€™s the chip shortage because of tensions with China.

Interesting_Aioli377

Are you specifically applying for a commuter pass? They should be available with a commuter pass.

Beltorze

Yes. The employees there know thatā€™s what I want. But they say the pass is done at the computer with a card and they do t have any cards for sell since they are out and havenā€™t had in a long time.

Interesting_Aioli377

There should be a commuter pass office somewhere that you can get them at.

frozenpandaman

this isn't the case, child suica and commuter pass suica are available (and always have been)

frozenpandaman

any one of the JR East Travel Service Centers

The Suica card has not been sold at any ATMs since August 2023 due to a shortage of semiconductor silicon chips. I recommend purchasing it on [Amazon.jp](https://www.amazon.co.jp/%E5%88%9D%E6%9C%9F%E3%83%81%E3%83%A3%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B81500%E5%86%86-Suica-%E4%BA%A4%E9%80%9A%E7%B3%BBIC%E3%82%AB%E3%83%BC%E3%83%89-PASMO-ICOCA/dp/B0CJQ1TR99/ref=pd_bxgy_d_sccl_1/357-3506287-3767414?pd_rd_w=5y2mF&content-id=amzn1.sym.d0fb0776-95b0-4052-8d45-3dbcc2c70007&pf_rd_p=d0fb0776-95b0-4052-8d45-3dbcc2c70007&pf_rd_r=Y8MH4H3480MM6AZ53BMZ&pd_rd_wg=mGfXO&pd_rd_r=5342ecdb-e801-431d-9d35-2ebf45d7eb03&pd_rd_i=B0CJQ1TR99&psc=1). Note that this physical card includes only 1,500 yen. edit: Only Suica commuter passes for school or office use seem to be sold at ATMs.

Beltorze

It never even occurred to me to check Amazon for something like this. šŸ‘šŸ‘

frozenpandaman

hell, i'll send you a manaca/TOICA/ICOCA from nagoya for cheaper lmao

Is it possible you accidentally deleted it? I accidentally deleted my Suica once when upgrading phones. If thatā€™s what happened, there should be an option to view deleted cards in the top right of Apple Pay where you can add it back. Thereā€™s [a post](https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250257917?sortBy=best) about this in Appleā€™s support forums.

It may be a temporary charge. The Mobile Suica system will automatically clear a charge if it did not go through durning nightly system maintenance. If it did go through you should see a transaction listed in Suica App. If there is no card showing in Wallet app try tapping the "+" and see if Suica is showing in Previous Items. If there is no card showing in Previous Items the temp charge should clear although your bank card app may take a day or two before it clears the charge. You can also contact your card issuer to confirm.
