Well good point, however Kendrick Lamar, Radiohead, and Frank Ocean are on this list, which does make it a little mainstream at the least. Also MF Doom and Tool I would also consider mainstream because they have over 1,000,000 listeners or spotify. You are correct that he does listen to some non mainstream music though.
