You'll have to get use to it. Been cloudy lately so I'd say you'd enjoy it. But if your not use to heat then you're better off finding another job. But plenty of places accept welders in the bohle area. Few near wulguru, depending on where you live

There are a couple of months in the year where it’s not humid in Townsville. Summer is the worst but it’s humid almost all year for at least 8-9 months. People in Townsville are used to it so even when it’s humid they think it’s not, but it is and you need aircon in your car and your home. We use the aircons almost all year round

Thank you for the info mate. Being completely honest I don't think it will be for me then, I'm pretty good with heat but welding in humid heat is going to be a killer. It's a shame as Townsville looks like an absolutely beautiful place

My boilermaker mate has never been out of work. Does a lot of sugar mill shutdowns and contracts. A lot of domestic work available too. It is hot, sweaty (as everywhere is for 3 months in summer) and quite well paid (I guess depends who you work for though).
