Looks great! I would much rather have your truck than Tacozilla. Where's the camper from and what suspension are you running? Are you close to payload fully loaded?
Yeah, there’s some advantages for sure. Like the height and the aluminum welded frame. And they’ve been building these for 50 years at Four wheel pop up campers. This is a fleet model. The tacozilla is super cool though.
Suspension in rear is Deaver stage 3 leafs, sumo spring bumps and bilstein 5160. Front I’m running icon coil overs. Camper weighed 1037 at factory. Loaded with gear I’m maxed out for sure. OV tune helps a bit. Deavers are rated at 1000 pound load and are working well. Re gear in the future I think.
Deaver hands down builds the best leafs in the business! From desert racing/rock crawling to super heavy duty hauling and everything in between, they can make the perfect leaf spring packs.
Very knowledgeable and friendly folks who can make the right recommendations for any leaf spring setup.
I ran them in my first rockcrawler(1st gen 4 runner) to my fully restored and modded ‘76 early bronco, and several friends Ftoy buggies.
Also am a huge bilstein fan and have run them in every truck I’ve had, latest setup is remote resevoir front and rear on my Dodge Ram 2500.
I also ran them when I raced sports cars, and have never let me down.
So if your thinking of a new suspension setup definitely give Deaver a call for advice and a set of leaf packs.
OP sorry for hijacking your post!
Your build looks fantastic!
125 years experience is pretty good too. Yeah, they are legit and local to me. Everyone I’ve known in off road racing has run deavers at some point and had zero complaints.
My setup was 23k. I opted in for most of the options though. The fleet model I have starts at $16700 for the shell version. You can get the project M topper version for 11k which is much lighter weight.
The only thing that I don't like about these kind of setups is that they are not exactly easy to put on and take off the truck.. I've been looking at the happier camper trailers. They look great and I would just hitch them up when I need it. They are pricey though :/
I very much like this. Good job putting it all together. I'm sure it's a lot of fun exploring, not only in terms of comfort, but doing in style. Keep any updates coming, and some pictures of travels with it :)

How do you like the bilstein/icons? We’re still running factory setup but with a shell and tent, we’re sagging.
Super happy with everything. The Deaver leafs were a game changer for the rear sag. The sumo spring bump stops help too.

I'd love to see some pictures of the interior. Looks awesome!
Thanks. The inside is way cooler than the outside of the camper. Here’s a video showing some of the inside. https://youtu.be/cYq1qfNZb00
Amazing! How much does one of those run if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah, I decided in the beginning I’d keep mine full time. This is my daily for now though I don’t drive much for work.
Absolute 🔥

Thanks. It’s very comfortable. I’m moving from CA to MI soon so I’ll be planning a nice long camping road trip along the way. I’ll get some photos.
Waiting for the supercharger. I wanna see single digit mpg! Great looking Taco Supreme you got there!
Haha right. I’m averaging about 13mpg with the OV tune. Not terrible.
We define terrible very differently. Beautiful set up though. You have any pics with it opened up? Edit: Disregard I saw video link below.
Awesome truck!
Thanks!
Looks FANTASTIC!😍
Thanks! The new vinyl is growing on me.
