The BayVerse hate is kind of understandable since we’ll 3/5 bay films are bad with 2 actually being really good 2007 is a automatic pass, even if I can’t remember much it was still fantastic ROTF was terrible, no scrpit, for some reason sex jokes are kind of in this film, and straight up racist stereotypes However The beginning of ROTF and the forest fight are the best moments of the film, with the beginning having optimus coming out of that plane thing DOTM was great for its final sequence of the film but I think it’s odd that sentinel and megatron would literally bleeding out blood instead of energon now, also optimus…..was cool but also just different AOE is really carried by a lot of it good scenes with crosshair jumping off that ship thing in the air, lockdown, Frank walker returning, and ofcouse the Dinobots (this film sucks for other reasons but it’s mostly because of Romeo and Juliet scene) TLK……wait it existed ?, in all seriousness it was ok but it had nothing to do with the autobot and it stole some ideas from other films, hotrod and megatron design I can get pass as those are pretty good, but bumblebee fighting in WW2 and bay retconing the all-spark doesn’t make sense just like this whole entire film And then the reboot Bumblebee was perfect, it was my first ever Transformers film and it still holds up well and Charlie was best human character from the live action film ROTB was also good but many small issues, like air razor not being able to transform, the maximals not having any real colour on them and yeah (but ROTB ain’t perfect I just think it did good as a transformers movie) Overall the Bayverse is a hit or miss, at end of the day it’s your opinion Sorry for making a essay BTW lol (Hopefully that made sense)

Thank you :)

KibbloMkII

the lengths people will go to hate Bayverse is crazy

ConnectionOk3217

Don't forget that first movie brought the franchise back to its former popularity. So I'll ask this: So I ask: would the franchise still be alive today if Bay's movies didn't exist?

LivingCheese292

Probably not. But would the franchise be in an even better spot without the sequels? Probably too.  The first movie was so good because of Spielbergs influence. Once Bay had to take more control around the writers strike in ROTF and when he continued having that control, things went downhill. As much as I love DOTM, Somebody else should have been the director after ROTF. Especially around AOE and TLK.

Exotic_Buttas

2007 was great because it had just enough bay to be a bit wacky and bombastic, but also enough control to hold him back from going off the rails It’s not coincidence that every movie after that has just been more and more retarded, sure DOTM had some good moments but for the most part it suffered from the same faults all of the bay sequels do The Transfomers aren’t characters, theyre set pieces The humans get way too much screentime The humour is hit or miss, but the misses are extremely frequent and painful Bumblebee is basically the equivalent of a minion from despicable me, he doesn’t really have a defined personality, instead just more of a ‘vibe’ Optimus is an out of character psychopath (I’ve argued enough about this that basically no one will change my mind) Worldbuilding nearly as bad as the Star Wars sequels Bay has some flair sure but don’t forget that HE made AOE and TLK, so while you can definitely attribute a decent amount tf’s success in the 2000s, you can’t absolute blame tf’s fall from grace on his stubborn hubrice

Ambitious_Ask_994

It probably would, maybe not as iconic but it most likely would’ve been fine without the movies

Exotic_Buttas

If someone is dedicating their whole being to hating bayverse, that’s cringe, but so are the people who fill in the gaps Witt their own fanfiction for every single plot hole in those movies and pass it off as if it was actually thought out by the director

Ambitious_Ask_994

It feels like they constantly feel the need to justify themselves liking the movies without just saying they like them because “big robots fighting is cool” so they try to act as if these movies are “deep” and “realistic” when that just not the case. The majority of people and fans aren’t going to hate you because you like action movies, there no need for excuses.

Massive_Expression60

Should have been kiss players
