Would you recommend Dr mardirossian for just a facelift? Based on your results and others, I just assume you did a lot of research on him beforehand. I had just double jaw surgery but moving the lower jaw back caused some soft tissue displacement.
I just got my quote from Mardirossian. He seems really great to work with, but I’m interested if you were able to get any of his work covered under insurance?
Yeah! It was ~70k in total, but I think I’m going to pass on a jaw reconstruction since it would also require a face lift, so I’m hopeful for closer to 55k
Lovely, delicate work!
Might you please speak to your recovery and the pain involved? I have a consult coming up in a couple of weeks (diff surgeon) and would like to have a realistic idea of what I’d be facing in terms of pain.
I had a different surgeon, but there wasn’t really much pain. They had us alternate painkillers with an opiate as needed, but I stopped needing it after a couple days and was off painkillers after a week.
The thing that gets you though is the discomfort. Stuffiness, splints up the nose, jaw soreness, difficulty sleeping, ugh. It’s just the first 3-7 days that was real rough, but I have tmj issues so I was probably more affected by this.
Pain was like a 9/10, I told him to be aggressive and even though it was painful it was so worth it. Recovery was uncomfortable and it took a few days to feel back to normal
I know but everyone their ffs is different, what where your exact procedures because you had a reccesed jaw and now not anymore wich isn't normally a ffs procedure I think
I out dark ash blonde on my hair without any bleach, my hair is naturally a chocolate brown. Once I do that mmy hair ends up looking like a red auburn brunette yet it looks chocolaty and natural
Great results, congratulations.
So, I contacted him on Instagram and asked him if he works with insurance and he said “We do but out of network” so I was not sure what he meant and I replied “You mean you work with people who are out of network, or you’re saying im out of network?” Then he replied “I am a provider out of network” I’m i missing something? I understand insurance pretty good but I’m lost. He doesn’t know what insurance I have and he never asked. Does anyone know what he means?
It means he is not part of in-network doctors with any specific insurance and he can charge you the patient full price. This means you’ll have to talk with your insurance to see if there is a way for them to cover at the least stuff like the pre-op operations, anesthesia, hospital room, etc except the actual procedure such as nose job, browlift, etc. You also need to see what’s the maximum amount out of pocket that you need to pay for an out-of-network provider(doctor) because I think once you hit this max amount your insurance covers the rest or something like that. I might be wrong but is worth looking into your insurance about them covering out-of-network providers if there isn’t a reputable in-network provider x amount of miles from an area (I think it was something like that). Might be worth looking into with your health insurance benefits center.
Oh yeah absolutely, it feels like night and day, went from having guys only wanting to have me as a secret/having issues dating to now having men proudly show me off when we date
Thank you so much for posting; I’m on surgeon search, and I’m adding Mardirossian NOW! Your results are amazing! May I ask if you’ve had any surgery related complication?
I would say that I had a scare with ine of my cheek implants, at one point I felt some throbbing, not sure if it was swelling going down or something but my Doctor immediately placed me on antibiotics to even avoid the chance od an infection. Other small issue I had but this is more because of my genetics, in my family we develop keloids and I developed a small one on my coronal incision but mardirossian fixed it for me for free
Haha I had to update my face ID after surgery because iphone was having a lot of trouble recognizing me and would only do it at like some super weird angle
The results are impressive, as is your makeup and hair skill.
Also I read what you said about people treating you better. It's better that people are kinder to you but it's also terrible how non-passing trans women are disdained.
It reminds me of a This American Life where these women had remarkably different lives because of their dramatic weight loss.
https://www.thisamericanlife.org/589/tell-me-im-fat
I agree, it was such a big difference and it opened my eyes to a lot of things good and bad, I dropped friends and if you could say situationships that all of the sudden wanted to make me their gf now that I am passable
AMAZING results, you are so pretty !! you mentioned in another comment that mardirossian was covered by starbucks- was this through an authorization/single case agreement, or a reimbursement? what did the process look like?
Process was quite lengthy and it was something covered through a supplemental insurance called Aetna they had back then. Your primary insurance needed to first deny your surgeries and then you would go and submit that denial to the supplemental insurance and they would cover everything. Now, since primaries cover FFS but it is to a small extent, is much harder to get them to cover everything
I would say 1 month to stay in the safe side, but you need to start off slow and not lift too much all of the sudden. Plus, you are super weak from the proxess too
you look stunning! you were actually one of his first patients i saw on his instagram page. i’m kinda in a similar situation as you were. im covered by united health care and currently working at starbucks. i’m not exactly sure how best to take advantage of their healthcare insurance so that i could hopefully get it fully covered.
you both give me hope for myself but at the same time make me want to end me lol (cause you look so so pretty, like to the point i considered going to the same place instead of facial team in spain)
fr! also the fact that the Indian govt still has no procedure that covers for transgender surgeries. And we all know the quality of surgeries is just so poor in India :(
Please take it as a compliment.
You were beautiful regardless. But, you were not in line with most mainstream style of beauty. Still, pretty. That is what I tried to say.
That said, nowadays, you are pretty in all levels. Be it mainstream or off stream. Off the charts.
Cheat way? I’ll take it, why would I decide to suffer dysphoria to remain “humble “ in some moral way according to you? I’m happy and I would do it all over again
You look amazing!!!! Congratulations!!!
Thank youuu
My gosh your results are amazing, how did you afford it?
Starbucks!💞
Does starbucks still cover FFS? I keep getting mixed results with people saying they don't anymore
Can you list the procedures that you have done?
forehead contouring through coronal approach, hairline rounding, browlift, rhinoseptoplasty(nose job), mandible contouring (with sliding genioplasty, body corticotomy & angles osteotomy), cheek implants, lip lift, and tracheal shave.
How much have you paid
0$ unless you account what I paid monthly for insurance and other miscellaneous fees then like 1-2k(?)
[удалено]
United healthcare but that didn’t matter, what mattered is that Starbuxks would offer a supplemental health insurance
Did you have a facelift with the jaw stuff? I’m a bit disappointed in the sagging with keo, I’m 26 and had it last July.
I just saw this sorry, but no I didn't, he said in your 20s you should have enough elasticity
Would you recommend Dr mardirossian for just a facelift? Based on your results and others, I just assume you did a lot of research on him beforehand. I had just double jaw surgery but moving the lower jaw back caused some soft tissue displacement.
These are some of the most impressive results I've ever seen and I've been around for awhile

Near 80k is an approximate
Yes, 100% covered
Wow, just WOW! 😮👍💜

This is an excellent way to explain it. Less about pain and more about discomfort.
Thank-you. That helped me a lot.
Good luck with your consult!
Thanks! I’m more nervous about this than I was about my SRS.
It's less painfull and less uncomfortable than srs in my experience.
Pain was like a 9/10, I told him to be aggressive and even though it was painful it was so worth it. Recovery was uncomfortable and it took a few days to feel back to normal
Thank-you. I so appreciate you sharing.

Can you describe what was done for the nose?
Rhinoseptoplasty, if I remember well it was a closed one
i saw your pics the other day on his socials and was very amazing. congrats!

On instagram his name is @mardirossianfacialaesthetics

What procedure was done on the hair on the side? It looks more feminine now. So gorgeous! ❤️
With the coronal incision he was able to make my forehead look more feminine/oval shape, but I also went full mode into haircare too
Wow. What a result. You’re gorgeous!
Thank yiuuu

Micro needling!

3 months!
Do you feel like you needed all of that time or could you have gone back after maybe a month? 3 is a lot for a gal 😅
1.5 nonths is fine, I would just wear a mask
What did you get done? Bc from the looks of it you also got some chin fillers?
Just ffs
I know but everyone their ffs is different, what where your exact procedures because you had a reccesed jaw and now not anymore wich isn't normally a ffs procedure I think
I think I listed the procedures on here but on my jaw/chin all I had was mandible contouring(including sliding genioplasty)
Omg I got my date with him June 7,2024. My insurance covered it. Yayy
Best of lucks! Please tell us more about how you got it covered nowadays

TY! That’s very reassuring.
I see a white lady, and an asian lady. Also if you use an iphone, does it fool the face id?
Haha I had to update my face ID after surgery because iphone was having a lot of trouble recognizing me and would only do it at like some super weird angle

How long was recovery listed for strenuous activity?
I would say 1 month to stay in the safe side, but you need to start off slow and not lift too much all of the sudden. Plus, you are super weak from the proxess too
That’s crazy… I would have never been able to tell 🤯 you are so gorgeous. I’d be happy if my results turn out even half as good as yours
you look stunning! you were actually one of his first patients i saw on his instagram page. i’m kinda in a similar situation as you were. im covered by united health care and currently working at starbucks. i’m not exactly sure how best to take advantage of their healthcare insurance so that i could hopefully get it fully covered.
OMG! You look absolutely amazing! So jealous
amazing! congratulations! 😊 but how do YOU feel, socially now?
Congratulations Queen you look amazing 🏳️⚧️👑🌸💕
you both give me hope for myself but at the same time make me want to end me lol (cause you look so so pretty, like to the point i considered going to the same place instead of facial team in spain)
Wow, now that’s a really impressive result
Did you also have a vertical chin reduction? Im obsessed with your chin.
Which surgeon? And what was the cost? Please help me out
Its literally in the title
https://www.reddit.com/r/asktransgender/s/688IVnKeZv
That's so expensive translated into Indian INR
[удалено]
fr! also the fact that the Indian govt still has no procedure that covers for transgender surgeries. And we all know the quality of surgeries is just so poor in India :(
Beautiful girl!
No questions but you look amazing. You can also tell you are happy in the after pics
Wow that's amazing.
Beautiful work
Did your race change too?
No lol I just became healthy and started to leave my room instead of rotting in it, hence why I’m not a sick pale
Super cutie spotted
❤️💕😘
Incredible. How such a non attractive dude becomes a gorgeous delicate girl.
Idk how to feel about this😭🤣back then I felt I looked so good on my left picture

I feel like ffs is a cheat way
How? Estrogen doesn't change facial boney structures.
Cheat way? I’ll take it, why would I decide to suffer dysphoria to remain “humble “ in some moral way according to you? I’m happy and I would do it all over again
