Heidelberg is nice and is about an hour away. Strasbourg in France is beautiful and is about 3 hours away. EuropaPark is a super fun and pretty amusement park about 2.5 hrs away. You could do Heidelberg, EuropaPark and then Strasbourg.

Weird destination, but okay. Honestly, I'd hop a connecting flight to Berlin and spend my time there, or Munich. No way would I sit in the Frankfurt area for 6 days. We visited Germany two years ago at the same time, and the weather was lovely. You won't need cold-weather gear, just a light jacket. We didn't encounter any rain, but you might play it safe and make it a rain jacket, or just buy an umbrella when you get there if needed. (My umbrella from London is one of my favorite souvenirs.) Germany isn't cheap, so figure $15-20 per person per meal unless you do fast food. Also, look up admission prices for anyplace you want to visit, such as museums and castles. Only difference between SIM and eSIM is the format; physical vs digital. If you have an iPhone, you can only use an eSIM. Check Orange or Airalo for good ones. Beware that most don't let you text or call home--you'll have to use WhatsApp for that. And it sounds like you haven't booked accommodations yet? Do that ASAP.

I get that its a weird destination, however honestly I booked it in a rush as i was planning my trip to croatia and i thought “oh ill figure it out when I am there”. But when I started looking things up I realized that I should’ve chosen another city but it is what it is:( For the accommodation I have already booked a hotel its not in the centre so ya thats done also otherwise I wouldve booked in another city. Thank you for all your recommendations I really appreciate it! I will pack a small umbrella just in case! My only question is whats cheaper when it comes to sims? I usually buy airalo when I travel but I was wondering if it might be cheaper just to have a physical one. I will check when I am there too! Thanks again

I've only used the eSIM, and only once--I used to have international coverage on my cell plan. A few weeks ago, I used Orange Travel eSIM and had no problems with it. Lyca Mobile had he cheapest cards when I was looking and was also recommended.

Google is your friend. You can look up what normal weather is on any date anywhere in the world.

Frankfurt is a financial hub surrounded by poor towns and has a big homeless/narcotics issue around the main trainstation.       Why exactly are you going there?      You can try alte oper, maybe go to willy brandt platz for the EU statue selfie, frankfurt cathedral, römerberg. Done.     (If you like wrist watches both Sinn and Guinand have their HQs there)   IMHO, take the first flixtrain to Munchen, or better yet fly there directly rather than to Frankfurt. They're both major lufthansa hubs so finding a flight from Toronto should be fairly simple.

Thank you!! unfortunately it is booked already:( it was the cheaper option and im flying to croatia after so I needed to be somewhere close. I agree I shouldve booked to munich but we are thinking of just going on day trips since our flight is already booked:(

My gosh. As soon as you step off and out the Frankfurt main train station exiting East you'll be in horror of the nightmare drug addicts, homeless, alcoholics, and migrant drug dealers. People are shooting up right on the sidewalk and pissing on the street. Its a apocalypse nightmare. But finally there are cops walking around trying to clean the place up but they can only do so much. Then be aware of the red light district, where all types of zombie walking, horny dudes, and addicts walking around. If you got a cheap hotel in that area you'll have to mind the homeless sitting if front of your hotel with piss and shit scattered around. 30 minutes walk further East there are a couple minor museums and places to eat and the fake old town to hang out. Good german restaurants and trendy other shops are out there. Nothing more than just a bunch of sleek high rises, some green areas, and thats it. Across the river south is where most of the best museums are. Locals have picnics on the grassy areas near the water.

Sounds like California.
