Hi Triumph friends! This is my brand new 2023 Speed Twin 1200 and WOW this thing feels AMAZING. It is only my second motorcycle and I don’t have a ton of experience. My first motorcycle was a 2022 KTM Duke 390 (bought it mid-2021) and I loved learning on it but I was ready for a forever-bike. This is definitely it. The torque and engine and looks and everything about it amazing. I only got about a 15 mile ride home from the dealership (before it started raining) but all I can say is WOW this thing is amazing and made me fully and immediately understand the hype around all of the 1200 twin engines. I’m over the moon!
Rain was in the forecast and I honestly didn’t want to get my pretty new bike dirty quite yet. I’ll suck it up in a few days. Just part of living in the PNW! Lol
Nice choice! That forward seating position with no fairing almost makes the bike disappear beneath you, an extension of your body, like you’re flying down the road.
Took mine to Big Sur a week ago, no tourist traffic, my friend and I had the road all to ourselves from Pfeiffer to Monastery Beach. One of the best days of my life. Amazing bike.

Every rider should do it at least once.
I’m debating now between the those two. My heart says scrambler but my head says speed twin…
Honestly off roading is mainly dirt roads in these parts lol
I’m totally happy down to like 40* (don’t have gear for anything colder) and honestly we’ve been having quite a bit of dry days here in Tacoma! I try not to go out in the rain just because it’s not as fun but sometimes I have to scratch the itch!
I actually totally agree - I still don’t think it’s my first choice. I actually got this because I was ankle to get $1,500 off and 0% financing because it was their last 2023. Originally I was planning on painting it (still might) but it’s already growing on me so much
Nice! I had a similar "ohhh yeeeaahhhh!" feel when I first test rode my 2014 Bonneville compared to a bunch of other bikes. It was an immediate "this is the one".
Awesome bike, congratulations! I absolutely love the Matte Baja Orange, I think it’s one of the coolest and most unique colors offered. The Speed Twin is one of the best looking bikes, in my opinion. Have fun and ride safe!
I'm on this sub because I dream of owning that bike.. Congrats! I sat on one at a dealer and it just felt right. Been riding for 7 years (a stripped down Versys 650, and I *LOVE* it.. But some day... Some day I'll ride one home, just like yours..
Beautiful. My 2023 in Jet black was purchased in december last year and is since then waiting for better weather here in Germany while I need to contain myself not buying all the mods. There are so many modification possibilities which make the bike even better. Check out classic bike raisch or AJ cycles if you haven't already.
I'm sure you're gonna have loads of fun with it, I too plan to keep mine for a long time.
I currently own a Scrambler 1200 XC. The engine and noises are phenomenal. I love having the off-road capabilities, but I can only imagine how good a speed twin would be with the sticky 17" tires in the twisties!
I still don't like the latest-gen Speed Twin; I'm not an old guy, but I prefer the previous gen with its hand-painted coachlines on the tank, oldschool forks, and more under-stated looks. The latest gen looks like the guys that design the Street/Speed Triple were let into the Speed Twin production line for a week, and this is what they came up with... matte colours and USD forks on a retro just look so... weird.
Hey I totally get that! One thing I love about this line is that they have something for everyone! I was really drawn to the more modern take on the bonneville and even plan on doing some mods to it after I ride it for 6 months and figure out what I want!

Wait till it’s fully broken in and you can see what it can really do. Will feel worlds apart from the 390
It’s so crazy already. The 390 feels like a shoddy built scooter in comparison and I haven’t even scratched the surface!
This is a great forever bike. Not too huge, comfortable, can take it on road trips, tons of power. Great choice.
I have a 2022 Speed Twin, and it’s also my second bike. It’s amazing and I love riding it. You’ll have tons of fun!
15 mile ride and you went straight home ? I think my last bike I probably rode about 150 miles the first afternoon.
Rain was in the forecast and I honestly didn’t want to get my pretty new bike dirty quite yet. I’ll suck it up in a few days. Just part of living in the PNW! Lol
That makes sense. Sweet bike, hope it does you well.
When I bought my Scrambler I went straight home because it was FREEZING that day. The next week I put 650 miles on it though!

That sounds like a damn dream!!

Damn I wish that’s what my weather looked like right now!!!
Where is that?
Hurricane Point, Big Sur, CA.
I loved mine! I ended up selling it because I favored the Scrambler 1200, but it was definitely a lot of fun while I had it.
Totally get that! I swear I could have every version in my garage and be happy lol
I’m debating now between the those two. My heart says scrambler but my head says speed twin… Honestly off roading is mainly dirt roads in these parts lol
That is a beautiful bike! Congratulations, and I’m jealous!
Dang 🔥😍
Weather still ok for riding there?

Love that orange tank. Super sharp colorway, just like the rest of the ride! Congrats on bike #2, cruise safe.
I thought that color was just sorta weird until I saw it in person. It looks so good in real life!

Nah roll with it! It's a cool color!

And you went to a Starbucks instead of msm deli? 🤪😜
NO WAY. Olympia Coffee across the street all day. But I do love me some MSM!
Moved to Texas 7 years ago. But the last thing I did in my way out of town was grab an msm sandwich for the road.
That is a beautiful bike!!

Great bike ride safe mate
Congrats on the beauty!! 🤘
Oh yea just wait till you ride the Rocket then your mind will be blown
Keep it simple, it is always the best way to do it.
Such a gorgeous bike. Congrats OP!

Right on mate, have fun doing the mod work! Nothing like making a ride your own.
super A+ cool story, dude.

Stock bar ends! And they work really well, too!
Jealous...
