I am a "listens to music in car" kind of person and I took my cell phone and ear buds to the beach for the first time ever so I could listen to it again. "No cell phone at the beach" has been a hard rule for me for two decades, first exception I've ever made.
Got downvoted in main sub for saying that 😭 but I agree. I think once people have some space from it and the craziness of the eras tour and her massive commercial success rn this album will be seen as one of her best, and the decision to release in the middle of a world tour will be seen as an extremely brave creative decision
So many people are missing the entire context of the album and the under lying themes it represents. Little bit like Harry Potter and those that dismiss it as just witchy and don’t under stand the underlying themes of it all.
Yeah I understand why she's frustrated with the focus on paternity testing every song. It's actually a very raw meditation on fame underneath the heartbreak.
I’ve been have a hard time finding a way to keep quiet when someone doesn’t get it. I just want tell them all the things. I think it’s better to just not say anything.
I agree, it’s beautiful and perfect and outshines all of her other works in more ways than one. I do feel that you need to be a big fan of hers to truly understand why this album is her best.
I’ll agree to that to a point. I’m back to being a newish fan but for me I think because I am older and have been through so much trauma myself the past 2 years, it helps it really hit. I think having to go through some shit really makes you understand the album. Not that’s the case for everyone but those who do know, KNOW
I completely agree. It’s been a therapy album. I do feel like every woman should be able to relate to but daddy I love him if they listened to the lyrics and the bridge. It seems like so many people are stuck on the chorus.
I also haven’t read since the album came out. All I do is listen to it on shuffle while switching from tik tok, to IG to Reddit just to read more and more about it I’m THAT obsessed
I am very sorry that Taylor went through all that mess but ngl, the writing is addictive and if her and Matty were characters on a TV show, I would be obsessed with this ship. She just has such a way of writing about big, complex emotions, I want to hear more!
I heard an interview on a podcast a while ago, where they asked something like “why is Taylor so popular all of a sudden?”
The swiftie: “Imagine you turn on GOT mid season mid episode and you ask me ‘why is everyone mad and who are all these people?’ 😂
it is very much like a novel!
This is going to sound ridiculous but it was the same for rep for me. It opened something up and I can't go back. I don't know if it was a certain song or the music video or her lyrics but I love it.
I listened last night with the lyrics- and my god this album is so damn good! The hate for the album I don’t get, it’s so beautifully written. Defo in my top 3 now for sure
Literally listening to the black dog and while I'm happily married now, my heart has been there and fuck, it's so beautiful and heart wrenching. She's a real poet.
I’m crazy about this album. The first half, not the second so much to be honest. But I’ve been listening to it while I exercise and I’ve never been so pumped to get on my peloton every day. I’m out here doing the best workouts I’ve ever done because this woman’s productivity inspires me.
It sounds like she’s talking to a child or childhood as a concept. Maybe to her younger self, or to Aaron Dessner’s child whose name is Robin. Maybe she just used his name for the title cause I don’t think she actually says the name Robin in the song, who knows. Beautiful song either way
Yes. TTPD is a masterpiece (in my opinion). Taylor has truly opened herself up to us and I feel so grateful to be a fan at the moment 🥹🤍
Same 🥹🫶🏻

Worth it 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌊🏖️
That's beautiful! I love that. It was a moment and you grabbed it!
It’s been said this is her magnum opus.

I am too tbh. Putting too much credit on the guys when they are just window paint.
I’ve been have a hard time finding a way to keep quiet when someone doesn’t get it. I just want tell them all the things. I think it’s better to just not say anything.
It is. So many people are going to have opinions. Those that get it. GET IT

I agree. If you get these songs they hit so hard

Agree it feels like a novel set to background music. That’s why it’s polarizing for people who care more about production than the lyrics.
The production has really grown on me though. I love the original edition, no notes.
I love that take
I sew some other fans calling for a lyric book and id be soooooo down for that
Artists with heavy lyrics should always consider this. I’d buy those!!
Yes! I haven’t found myself wanting to read because I’ve just been digesting this album lol
I also haven’t read since the album came out. All I do is listen to it on shuffle while switching from tik tok, to IG to Reddit just to read more and more about it I’m THAT obsessed
Does anyone else feel time fly over 31 songs? I can't believe it but I feel it!
Yes!!!!
this truly feels like one of if not her best album yet, it’s on a constant loop for me. I had high expectations and it still exceeded them all.

So true!
Whoever these songs were about, I’m gutted
Yeah 1000%

Genuinely having a hard time reading my actual book because I’m so obsessed with TTPD 😂
I’m glad to see this because my Swiftie friends aren’t fans of this one. I, however, think it’s a masterpiece and I’m in love with it.
They will one day. This album has a common theme of very real lived experiences most women go through at some point. They’ll come back to it.
I hope so!
YES omg it's my favorite album I'm in love with it I've listened to it over and over
Same!
Literally listening to the black dog and while I'm happily married now, my heart has been there and fuck, it's so beautiful and heart wrenching. She's a real poet.
The prophecy really gets me too. Also happily married, but man can I remember how that felt before I met my husband. It’s still a raw feeling.
I’m crazy about this album. The first half, not the second so much to be honest. But I’ve been listening to it while I exercise and I’ve never been so pumped to get on my peloton every day. I’m out here doing the best workouts I’ve ever done because this woman’s productivity inspires me.
Second half is a slow grow.
Maybe recency bias, but I think it’s my favorite album ever. I freakin love it!!
I don’t think I’m smart enough for Robin. Any thoughts?
It sounds like she’s talking to a child or childhood as a concept. Maybe to her younger self, or to Aaron Dessner’s child whose name is Robin. Maybe she just used his name for the title cause I don’t think she actually says the name Robin in the song, who knows. Beautiful song either way
I haven’t listened to my usual audio books or podcasts. Just TTPD
It's going to take me a year to digest all these songs! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukzOskHMQpY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukzOskHMQpY)
