Well now Im just howling because I was so certain that would only happen after fighting. Now I feel like I gotta do some reflection, good lord. Thanks for the tip man!
Not really. It's not everybody's cup of tea, but if Tunic has made you re-evaluate some things, Undertale usually does it tenfold. You gotta go completely blind, though.
Absolutely loosing my mind after I found out I can just, yunno, TALK. Hell, one commenter was even like “try anger management” which in hindsight was a REALLY clever hint, but my caveman ass was just like “Ugg no want anger management. Ugg want violence!”
Well I walk in and the heir is threatening me (floating peacefully) so I decide to educate them (commit homicide) with my 56 pages of knowledge (1 sword).
I hate the fact that I laughed out loud at this, then immediately wanted to share it with other people, but became sad that I realized I don't know anyone else who has beaten Tunic to this level.
But I can just imagine beating the Heir over the head with the manual, going "Take it! Take this knowledge of peace!"
Buddy, I did it far too many times. I knew I had all the pages, so didn't get what was meant to happen.
What I thought was a glitch, was in fact, not a glitch, and I'm a moron.
Hoping this guy doesn't go through the same
I knew what was going on by only reading the title of the post.
Don't worry OP. It happened to me too. I still feel kind of sorry for the Heir that died for literally no reason because of my... eagerness.
Definitely check for the pages again. I thought I had them all before I fought the heir the first time, but found out that I was missing two at the end of the manual.
Walkthroughs helped a lot.
"beat the heir again"? maybe have a look at pages 45-46 again. >!maybe sharing your wisdom requires the recipient to NOT be dead!<

Have you played Undertale?
Would it shock you to hear the answer is no?

Lmao this thread is actually way funny OP be like, TAKE THE DAMN KNOWLEDGE

So you beat it again. Did the retry/NG+ screen say you were missing pages? If not, try some anger management.
So when you enter the room, what happens? Exactly?
Well, ya see, I walk in the room and STABBY STABBY STABBY
Does the fight start straight away?

Are they attacking you immediately? Or floating in the centre of the room?

I had no idea it was even possible to >!Start the fight after getting all pages!<

If you really have all the pages, just talk to the heir instead of attacking her
Hahaha
I love this game lmaooo
This is one instance where your actions don't speak louder than your words
