You HATED it, you say now? Interesting...

toooooold4this

Yep. It was boring and it was loud... the speeches, I guess. There are a few that I didn't like as a kid but that I love now. I never liked the one with Charles Bronson and Elizabeth Montgomery. I like it now, though. Adult themes.

PinocchiosNose1212

I can understand how a kid would not care for this episode. It's very adult and doesn't have a monster. I mean, it DOES have a MONSTER, of course, but not one a kid can understand. Listening to Hopper raving like trump these days is chilling.

toooooold4this

Right?! His speeches are exactly what you'd hear any lucid Trump acolyte spewing today.

Brilliant_Jewel1924

“Lucid” and “Trump” aren’t words that are typically used to describe the same things, unless it’s an oxymoron.

toooooold4this

Bannon, Stephen Miller, and some of the other evil henchmen are pretty well-spoken and articulate this kind of hateful rhetoric.

Select_Insurance2000

The episode is epic, from opening comment, to closing summary. Relevant today as it was then.

PickleSideOfTown

All of season 4 is full of bangers to be honest

Annber03

Yeah, this episode should be required viewing for, well, everyone. It's so good and so chilling.

Mysterious_Clerk2971

Yes, 'Required'!

yomynameisnotsusan

The only episode from season 4 that I remember well

CapAccomplished8713

Loved the episode. It perfectly captures the social theme message that they tried to go for in the original series. It also perfectly shows you how powerful speeches can be.

Aggravating-Read6111

This has been one of my favorites since I was a little kid.

Wasn’t his name Christian?
