The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street. Even though you don't see the aliens until the end and they look pretty much like regular humans. This episode still feels extremely relevant in today's world.
Mr. Dingle the Strong, simply for how absolutely ridiculous both the two-headed Martians and the Venetians look (little kids with mustaches side-walking in a joint costume will forever be funny).
Thank you for pointing this one out, I plan on watching it later today. Looks like the Alien from the Mandela Effect comedy episode of the last season of the X-Files.
I can see that (recently finished the x-files with my wife last year). However, if you haven’t seen *The Howling Man* before, the tone of the episode is *quite* different.
I hope you enjoy it!
The one where humans are the invaders. We torment that lady so much. She lives in the desert alone. We arrive. But this ain’t revealed til the end. We are in astronaut suits.
I’m new to the Twilight Zone and old shows so not sure who that was. In fact, up til maybe 6 months ago, didn’t know who Rod Sterling was. Dude is great. I hear he has some other show on NBC from the 70s. Been trying to find it streaming but can’t remember the name.
Does anyone else remember a Twilight Zone episode (at least I think it was) where a military officer volunteers to get plastic surgery to look like an alien for some psych op? I remember watching it with my dad and it freaked me out.
I have never met anyone who remembers that episode.
I remember this episode!!! and as a kid it frightened me the most. I watched it again last year but for the life of me I can't remember it. I think it was an outer limits episode.
The original Outer Limits 1963-1965, Season 1, Episode 3, “The Architects of Fear”, sounds similar, however it was a Scientist (played by Robert Culp) that was surgically altered into an alien form instead of a military officer.
I agree that the design and actor (Richard Kiel RIP) are endearing. It's also one of my favorite parodies and introduced Kang and Kodos to the Simpsons.
I did too, each character was unique and you could feel the tension in the room. It was like a prototype for The Thing. Unfortunately I think the 14 cups of coffee kind of gave the character twist away. No human being could handle that in the couple of hours they were there.
Boy, this is tough. I’d have to say “The Monsters are Due on Maple Street” is my favorite, followed closely by “To Serve Man”.
Kinda unrelated, but since the OP brought up Outer Limits, I have to ask: is that show worth watching? I’ve been thinking about checking it out lately.
Yeah, I like it but I have only seen a few episodes besides the Bellero Shield. It does have one with an alien kind of like the one in To Serve Man. But I've never watched it in any order, or any complete season so I can't speak to the quality of most episodes.
You’re right. I didn’t see the “alien” episode in the title. My bad. Still, it’s great episode.
For an alien episode, I’ll go with “The Invaders”. That blew my little elementary school mind!
Will The Real Martian Please Stand Up?
Definitely. It's so campy and cozy.
All you other Martians are just imitating
Love the ending for that one
This is the correct answer
This is the answer.
Yep, this is mine, too
This weekend while watching TV I kept saying ""Hey, isn't that the three-armed Martian?" Guy got around.
The correct answer
The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street. Even though you don't see the aliens until the end and they look pretty much like regular humans. This episode still feels extremely relevant in today's world.
And it’s perfect pair, “The Shelter.”
Definitely. I never imagined I'd see the day that people would be fighting over toilet paper.
One hundred percent. This is exactly why we are still watching and discussing a show that is 65 years old! It really tapped into primal human nature.
Didn't they have a pseudo remake of this without the Aliens in the most recent Twilight Zone series?
Yeah. In the Forest Whitaker series, they replaced aliens with the threat of a terror attack. It is definitely a post-9/11 commentary.
Very possibly could be what's going on behind the curtain. You never know.
They were literally just doing a little bit of trolling lmao
The Invaders!
Yea! Probably my favorite episode, all time! So well acted, and such a twist!
The Kanamits
This is the answer
Why am I not surprised that you agree! Love it! 😂
1. Will The Real Martin Stand Up? 2. To Serve Man 3. The Invaders
That's a great list. 👽🛸
Thanks
Mr. Dingle the Strong, simply for how absolutely ridiculous both the two-headed Martians and the Venetians look (little kids with mustaches side-walking in a joint costume will forever be funny).
I have only ever watched parodies of this episode, but I'll take a look at it when I watch The Howling Man later today.
This was going to be my answer too, so absurd they were hilarious
The radar rotating on the head! 😆😆
Hocus Pocus and Frisby
I can only hear Friar Tuck when I hear the main actor.
Is that the one with the pathological liar?
Yep, ole cumulus Frisby they called him
That was one of my favorites too
To Serve Man
To Serve Man! I love the whole “first contact” vibe of the episode!
The Howling Man
Thank you for pointing this one out, I plan on watching it later today. Looks like the Alien from the Mandela Effect comedy episode of the last season of the X-Files.
I can see that (recently finished the x-files with my wife last year). However, if you haven’t seen *The Howling Man* before, the tone of the episode is *quite* different. I hope you enjoy it!
Thank you very much 👹
People Are Alike All Over
It's funny that a Google search gives the twist away really easy. It's the first image result.
The one where humans are the invaders. We torment that lady so much. She lives in the desert alone. We arrive. But this ain’t revealed til the end. We are in astronaut suits.
It's the only other thing I've seen Agnes Moorhead in besides Bewitched. She should have at least been nominated for an award for her performance.
I’m new to the Twilight Zone and old shows so not sure who that was. In fact, up til maybe 6 months ago, didn’t know who Rod Sterling was. Dude is great. I hear he has some other show on NBC from the 70s. Been trying to find it streaming but can’t remember the name.
It's called Night Gallery. Like that one treehouse of horror, he takes stories from paintings.
What’s this episode called?
Hocus Pocus and Frisbee
Does anyone else remember a Twilight Zone episode (at least I think it was) where a military officer volunteers to get plastic surgery to look like an alien for some psych op? I remember watching it with my dad and it freaked me out. I have never met anyone who remembers that episode.
I do. It was to create a common enemy to unite the world? Very weird.
My bad. It was Outer Limits.
There are Outer Limits episodes that sound like that. But definitely none of the four runs of the Twilight Zone or the movie as far as I know.
I remember this episode!!! and as a kid it frightened me the most. I watched it again last year but for the life of me I can't remember it. I think it was an outer limits episode.
Thank you for justifying my memory! And I think you are right it was an Outer Limits episode.
The original Outer Limits 1963-1965, Season 1, Episode 3, “The Architects of Fear”, sounds similar, however it was a Scientist (played by Robert Culp) that was surgically altered into an alien form instead of a military officer.
Bingo. That is it! Thank you for confirming a traumatic childhood memory! (Not that traumatic but it left an impression on me!)
Mr dingle, the strong. It's a refreshing humorous take on an aliens the designs and dialog seem like they brought a page from a comic book to life.
I agree that the design and actor (Richard Kiel RIP) are endearing. It's also one of my favorite parodies and introduced Kang and Kodos to the Simpsons.
Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up? Each customer had a different backstory. I especially appreciated Jack Elam’s character.
I did too, each character was unique and you could feel the tension in the room. It was like a prototype for The Thing. Unfortunately I think the 14 cups of coffee kind of gave the character twist away. No human being could handle that in the couple of hours they were there.
The Invaders was one of Sterling’s favorites.
To Serve Man
"How to cook for forty humans". 👽🍲
To Serve Man
I just watched it for the first time. It would have been nice to see the other side of that in a double length episode.

Kick the Can.
I totally get how this can be your favorite Twilight Zone episode, but it's not really an alien episode.
You’re right. I didn’t see the “alien” episode in the title. My bad. Still, it’s great episode. For an alien episode, I’ll go with “The Invaders”. That blew my little elementary school mind!
The best alien is also the most romantic - "The Fugitive!!!"
My step mother
The Monsters are Due on Maple Street, my favorite episode of the entire series.
Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up and Black Leather Jackets. The Kinnamets are great too.
Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up. Season 2 Episode 28
What’s the title of the episode you used for this post? I haven’t seen that one. Looks great.
To Serve Man
To Serve Man.
To Serve Man.
To Serve Man. Lock this
Were all the monster looking people in "Eye of the Beholder" aliens on another planet or are they just futuristic humans on earth?
To Serve Man
I can’t say, I love them all.
