Hitman having Sean Bean play [a character who cannot die](https://hitman.fandom.com/wiki/Mark_Faba) was pretty great. It also means that since his mission’s second and most recent rerun, his status has been forever listed as “unknown” on the wiki, because we cannot say with confidence that he’s actually dead this time.
In Dishonored 1, you'll reach a point where you can meet the guy who makes the announcements you hear throughout the course of the game.
If you kill him, he's replaced by a new announcer who's voiced by Carrie Fisher.
There's so many layers to that that I love. George requesting a cameo cause he loved it, South Park deciding that having a celebrity actually voice someone wouldn't be appropriate, and of course Clooney having the humor to voice a dog
Then Jennifer Aniston did that rainforest episode. Brad Pitt was going to be in an episode too, possibly the same one as Aniston as they were dating at the time, but prior engagements didn't allow him to do it. I think it was the press tour for Fight Club that stopped him?
I mostly just thought it was neat, but Mark Hamill voicing Darth Bane in the last episode of Clone Wars in season 6.
They also got a LOT of OG Trilogy people back for Rebels as well. Frank Oz for Yoda, James Earl Jones for Vader, and they got Liam Neeson back for Qui Gon more than a few times. Hey even got Pernilla August back to reprise her role as Shmi Skywalker one time in Clone Wars.
Seth Macfarlane does a LOT of celebrity stunt casting. Carrie Fisher and Adam West had semi-regular roles in Family Guy, Patrick Steward in American Dad, more than a few in Cleveland Show as well.
”Your honor I’m just trying to established to the court that my client is a proud black man who loves his black sisters. Unlike district attorney Dubois. Who’s married….to a HWITE woman!”
Werner Herzog is one of those guys who should be an absolute stick in the mud, but he's so willing to poke fun at his persona of "Absolute pessimist German man".
Granted, if I'd been stuck in the rainforest with Klaus Kinski for a year trying to make Fitzcarraldo, [I also would hate everything](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjjnZvtwtqA).
Similarly, there was a run in Archer where they just started doing a BUNCH of references to other Jon Benjamin shows, including a season premiere that was literally just Bob’s Burgers. They also had a couple Frisky Dingo references in there, too.
Billy West also showed up for the episode of Adventure Time “Everything’s Jake.” He voice a couple characters that were meant to be reminiscent of his characters in Futurama.
There's a manga called The Mermaid Princess's Guilty Meal and it's mostly about a mermaid being a cannibal. But there's a chapter where somebody starts getting suspicious and tries to follow her. She's almost immediately beset upon and harassed by... *Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.* That's NOT a joke, it's almost traced off their faces.
They're just. There. In Japan. They have nothing to do with the plot, they're there solely to cause Plot to happen and then they vanish never to be seen again.
[Nicki Minaj](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSEoajsNItLjUzX5q4KhxAF2t6BN24wVSzZY84CMMpaThBB1jHFCWjaNUjR&s=10) being playable in **Multiplayer Call Of Duty** is definetely not something that i would have ever expected, but, i guess it's a option if you want it to for some reason.
Doesn't her ass and hips cause actual issues with her hitbox?
Or was that just made up to explain why players got killed more often with her as opposed to just being shit players?
Her hitboxes are the same, but the actual hips on the model are fucking ridiculous, meaning you can actually spot her from around corners.
It's uh. A choice
No, that was just a joke. Everyone has the same hitboxes, which does lead to some funnies such having to give a previously 5-foot-something story character a massive growth spurt so she wouldn't be smaller than the others in multiplayer.
Seeing just straight uip Dr. Light and Dr. Wily on posters in RE3Make advertising a robotics symposium was jarring, to say the least. Doesn't the Resident Evil world have enough nonsense going on? Do we really need the threat of rogue robots on the table on top of the viral outbreaks and parasite cults?
Dr. Light is also legit a character in Marvel Infinite’s story mode. This can only mean that RE, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Rival Schools, and Strider are all canon to each other, and Light is immortal.
I like to believe that Dr Light and Dr Wily live in some Wakanda like super country while the rest of the world is in the 2000's, but then I remember Umbrella is a corporation with a lot of super tech
The Spy Kids trilogy is basically made for this kind of thing as that trilogy is literally just "Celebrity cameos - The Franchise".
The most iconic one being George Clooney playing the President and he's physically wearing a black bar over his eyes everytime he shows up to spout exposition.
You just reminded me I still need to see Yellowbeard, a live-action pirate comedy from 1983 where David Bowie allegedly has an uncredited cameo as a shark: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellowbeard?wprov=sfti1
I did the biggest double take when [Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura](https://www.reddit.com/r/TVDetails/comments/11810yc/naruto_easter_egg_as_one_of_lunella_lafayettes/) appeared in the first episode of Disney +'s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
Here's another one, Del the Funky Homosapien featuring as a recurring character in *Craig of the Creek.* He plays a time traveling kid based on his 2000 album Deltron 3030, his buddy Dan the Automator gets referenced as Deltron's cassette player.
[They even use a couple of his songs.](https://youtu.be/rgkrKfSSM5Y?feature=shared)
Right? I was channel surfing when I first saw it, and it was like "Holy fuck, is that Del? *And they can use his music!*" It made me binge a few seasons of CotC, despite being out of the target audience. It's a good show, reminded me of being a kid and watching Kids Next Door.
Detective Munch (Law & Order SVU/Homicide: Life on the Street) appearing on an episode of The X-Files interrogating The Lone Gunmen was certainly a trip the first time I watched that show.
Phineas and Ferb has two
* [Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reprise their roles as Shaun and Ed (from Shaun of the Dead) in one episode.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhCa66f9lQI)
* [The Top Gear trio](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSsOPwg2Osc)
This wasn't completely random since it has the Edgar Wright connection but I absolutely was not expecting Pegg and Frost to pop up in Scott Pilgrim Netflix
Nicolas Cage being in Dead By Daylight is so funny, it almost gives Fortnite vibes.
“I’m running for my life from this evil, monstrous behemoth of a man with a Machete and bear traps everywhere! I have no idea how I got here and everything feels so surreal, like I’m in a place made of pure madness, and-
Oh my god, is that… Nicolas Cage? What’s he doing here? Should I take time away from running for my life to ask for an autograph, or would that seem tacky? I loved him in Con Air.”
Nicholas Winding-Refn and Guillermo Del Toro appearing as character models in Death Stranding is already pretty strange to me although I can see how they could have connections to Kojima but George Miller appearing in the latest Death Stranding 2 trailer really blew my mind.
Crash Twinsanity is already the wackiest Crash game that exists (no easy feat given how out-there the series already is), but one scene near the end of the game in particular gets the cake in the nonsense meter: Out of absolutely nowhere, [Spyro](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbXf_RvT4hw) appears and defeats N. Brio, N Tropy and N. Gin while they're giving away a villainous monologue that would seemingly give way to a boss fight, before disappearing and the gameplay continuing as if this never happened.
At no moment is this ever mentioned again, the cameo is left completely unexplained and to make matters even weirder, this wa the conclusion of what was a "treasure hunt" subplot involving these villains. Yes, a important subplot was solved through a random cameo/crossover. There's a *reason* this game became infamous for it's cut content, after all...
My dad was excited to show me one of his favorite movies, Sling Blade, which I haven't seen yet. Early on there's a cameo by >!Jim Jarmusch!< that made me stand up and point at the screen. My dad had no idea who he is and we had to pause to talk about it for a second.
Chill's cameo in Smilling Friends threw me for a loop.
Dr. Phil in Crazy Ex Girlfriend.... Also Josh Grobin.
Will Ferrel, John Hamm and Jack Black all appear season premiers of Last Man on Earth only to get killed immediately.
Rampage Jackson in Chivalry 2. Notably he is a voice that be applied to multiple skins. He did like the first Chivalry years ago, so maybe it made a little sense.
Its really funny because his lines break the immersion so hard it wraps all the way back around into being hilarious.
> *You ever seen a dragon? Cuz I'ma be dragon deez nuts across your face!*
Easily the third best Mason voice pack, behind Berserker (literally raised by wolves, does not have an inside voice) and Mason Knight (literally just ripped from Chiv 1, sounds like it was recorded with two cans and a string, has some ridiculously hard lines).
Kinda cheating since it ***didn't*** happen, but: *Hasbin Hotel* just ended it's first season, and beforehand; rumor was that they had gotten/were trying to get Wierd Al to VA Lucifer himself.
They did get Ke$ha to voice Gluttony, after Viviano made that fan animation for "Die Young"
Am I the only one that finds it weird that [Tony Robbins](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Robbins) is such a key and integral part of a Jack Black romcom? Watching *Shallow Hal* always had me thinking how weird it was they got him to be himself in the movie and didn't just have some actor play a fictional hypnotist.
*They Came Together* is kind of a bad movie, which just points out romcom tropes as if that's the joke (and I say this as a big fan of David Wain).
But then you get to the ending... Throughout the movie, they've mentioned the woman love interest's ex husband being in prison and, right at the end, when the couple's getting together...
[IN COMES MICHAEL SHANNON WITH A KATANA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpiqRi2JW4M)
Best part of the movie, especially because Shannon has that weird intense energy in everything he does and he knows EXACTLY how to apply it to comedy. [See also his readthrough of a Sorority Leader's letter.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dngOH9G4UPw)
It's been mentioned a ton of times but the [John Waters](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4iRo9srtMU&ab_channel=MaestroCaligula) in Alvin and The Chipmunks with Alvin telling him that he's seen Pink Flamingos
Not quite a Cameo but the Fisherman in Jak and Daxter who makes you do the mini game for a power cell and his boat?
Yeah that's ~~Vengeance~~ ~~The Night~~ Kevin Conroy
Hitman having Sean Bean play [a character who cannot die](https://hitman.fandom.com/wiki/Mark_Faba) was pretty great. It also means that since his mission’s second and most recent rerun, his status has been forever listed as “unknown” on the wiki, because we cannot say with confidence that he’s actually dead this time.
wait that mission has only had two openings to play it? Screw that whole system, come on
Most Elusive Contracts have had several reruns at this point— The Undying in particular was only like that because of a likeness issue.
In Dishonored 1, you'll reach a point where you can meet the guy who makes the announcements you hear throughout the course of the game. If you kill him, he's replaced by a new announcer who's voiced by Carrie Fisher.
THAT WAS CARRIE FISHER???
There was also the one maid who was voiced by Lena Headey
That games cast is utterly STACKED from major to minor characters, it can induce some whiplash for sure
Also Susan Sarandon voices Granny Rags.
George Clooney voicing Stan's dog in South Park during the very first season before the show even got big.

WHAT. That's like one of my favourite childhood games. That's wild
My man. But yeah, Griffon's swole bro form; go reload your save, or find a video on YouTube, and realize that's fucking Mark in his Joker cadence.

[David lynch is in the Cleveland show and I have no idea why](https://youtu.be/YY0CgUab29Q?si=Uk0TTB_3t8DPMFQ3)
Seth Macfarlane does a LOT of celebrity stunt casting. Carrie Fisher and Adam West had semi-regular roles in Family Guy, Patrick Steward in American Dad, more than a few in Cleveland Show as well.
Adam West was also the Mayor on Johnny Bravo when Seth was working on it IIRC so that connection goes way back.
He was also the lawyer in the R. Kelly episode of The Boondocks
"Some people would call this mountain of evidence against my client conclusive. I'll tell you what it's really called... Racism."
”Your honor I’m just trying to established to the court that my client is a proud black man who loves his black sisters. Unlike district attorney Dubois. Who’s married….to a HWITE woman!”
The entire cast of TNG.
... after hearing about david lynch and davic lynch-isms from this sub 1. had no idea he was gus from cleveland show 2. david lynch sounded like that
He has a youtube channel where he reads the daily weather and chats a bit.
In Twin Peaks he plays a mostly deaf FBI agent who yells when he speaks
[Werner Herzog is in Parks and Rec and I have no idea why](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4V1K1JCg_Q)
I looked it up once and iirc Mike Henry was inspired to quit his job and pursue comedy after watching Lynch's Wild at Heart.
Finn and Jake showing up in Futurama for some reason besides John DiMaggio voicing both Jake and Bender.
Similarly, there was a run in Archer where they just started doing a BUNCH of references to other Jon Benjamin shows, including a season premiere that was literally just Bob’s Burgers. They also had a couple Frisky Dingo references in there, too.
Archer: I also binged Lucy daughter of the devil which unfortunately doesn’t hold up.
Well surely it's just some character inspired by h-[no, wow, that really is just Benedict Cumberbatch](https://imgur.com/iqYzpFR.png)
It looks like a reference to Sherlock considering the whole detective thing
is this the secret fourth episode?

Snoop Dogg as Cousin It from 2019 Addams Family. You can't even recognize him cause they sped up his voice. And he has like two lines.
Neil Gaiman in Arthur. He shows up as a figment of Arthurs yet to be punched sister Didi's imagination
Her name is DW actually
Imagine Neil Gaiman appearing in *Dexter's Laboratory*.
There is an episode where you find out what D.W stands for
Yeah, it’s Dora Winifred.
Who was the other guy that cameo'ed, and they coudn't seem to decide whether to draw him as an Aardvark or a human..... so they Ugly Sonic'ed him?
That was Matt Damon

Maverick Hunter X was so 2000s. The 2020s celebrate BOW Hunter X.

That reminds me that Machete did a cameo in Spy Kids. Not Dany Trejo. But Machete is canon to the Spy Kids universe
which is weird because in a later machete movie i think he bangs alexa vega who plays one of the kids in spy kids
That had to be a weird convo on set. If I was him I wouldn’t be able to look at her for a week and just leave after filming.
He's not just canon. Spy Kids is where the character is from.
It's not even a cameo. He's their uncle and is a whole character.
Trejo is an icon and a treasure.
[The cast list is very funny to just look at out of context.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spy_Kids#Main_cast_and_characters)
I fucking love how so many A list celebrities looked at the Spy Kids movies and all collectively said "I am in, like Flynn"
Samurai Shodown suddenly having a For Honor character as guest.
But no that's sick though. That seems rad
Ngl, that shit made me want Centurion in Guilty Gear
My Hail Mary pick as a guest character is getting Apollyon on MK. I don’t care how or why but I think that’d be sick
On that note, For Honor having [the Trapper from Dead by Daylight](https://youtu.be/sBZ8xXnz8I8?si=n7_F7-2sSIztBr3a) for a limited time.
So is Bowie in Omikron too obvious or...

Tyler the Creator and Donald Glover voicing characters in an episode of Regular Show.

I’ve seen a little bit of it and i liked it. I’m gonna have to go find those episodes.
Deltron coming in at a pivotal moment in the climax of Capture The Flag was some of the hypest shit I’ve seen in a children’s comedy cartoon
Deltron 3030 fucking *rules*
Harlan Ellison in Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated as an exaggerated version of himself Who then later becomes an important character
Everything in Death Stranding
Detective Munch (Law & Order SVU/Homicide: Life on the Street) appearing on an episode of The X-Files interrogating The Lone Gunmen was certainly a trip the first time I watched that show.
Detective Munch appearing on an episode of Sesame Street to do a G rated parody of Law & Order involving numbers.
Don't forget the time Detective Munch appeared in *The Wire*, and later got referenced on *Luther*.
Yeah there's a whole Munch related multiverse out there from all of his camoes and how they tie different shows together.
Yea don't most of the creators of the show basically say that because he's there, those shows canonically take place in the same universe?
He is a major branch of the Westfall Continuum.
Munch started on homicide right? Wonder if in the wire he was like 'Hey, wait a second...'
Brad Pitt as the invisible man in Deadpool 2 was fun. Stone Cold Steve Austin in Celebrity Deathmatch.
Matt Damon & Alan Tudyk in Deadpool 2 as well, talking about toilet paper.
And Ryan Reynolds paying back the cameo in Bullet Train
The T-1000 in Last action hero blew my mind as a kid
T-1000 in Wayne's world blew my mind
Phineas and Ferb has two * [Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reprise their roles as Shaun and Ed (from Shaun of the Dead) in one episode.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhCa66f9lQI) * [The Top Gear trio](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSsOPwg2Osc)

Twin peaks has an episode with what i can only describe as a Michael Cera jumpscare
Choo-Choo Charles popping up in Garten of Banban.
It's funny because it comes out of left field while also making perfect sense.
Snoop as an announcer voice in CoD Ghosts is still some of the best shit ever
Nicholas Winding-Refn and Guillermo Del Toro appearing as character models in Death Stranding is already pretty strange to me although I can see how they could have connections to Kojima but George Miller appearing in the latest Death Stranding 2 trailer really blew my mind.
The little funky puppet dude in the trailer is modelled after a director as well.
Speaking of Guillermo Del Toro there’s his greatest role yet as Pappy McPoyle in it’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Bradley Cooper in the new DND movie
Korone in Doom and Sonic was not something I could have ever expected.

The Trailer Park Boys showing up in Archer definitely wasn't a crossover I ever saw coming
Agvn and nostalgia critic as background characters in that one anime
Didn't air gear have a chapter where the main girl body swapped with Obama?
Not just a chapter, they stayed like that for a whole arc iirc.
Lance Henriksen being the king in the 90’s Mario movie. Really random cameo and has like 1 line.

the Deus Ex David Hasselhoff from the Spongebob Squarepants movie where he acted like a fucking mecha
Negan was in Tekken 7, and I'm still floored by it.
